Kyuu smiled, and so did her mom. "You're not worthless, not at all." her mom said.

 

"Thanks, ma'am. I'm just glad your daughter cares about me, thats all I need to be happy."

 

Kyuu smiled as she finished her eating. Her mom smiled, "It's nice to hear."

 

Jesse smiled, "So has Kyuu ever told you how we met?"

 

Her mom thought for a moment. "I'm not sure, I don't remember clearly..."

 

"Well Kyuu was new in town and she was'nt looking when a car was heading straight for her. I pushed her out of the way and and took the hit. Later she visited me in the hospital. That's when she found out I was demon of darkness from kh-3.net and I discovered she was Kyuuketsuki."

 

Her mom raised her eyebrow, "And now you saved her again." she smiled, "You seem to be some kind of hero."

 

"I'm no hero. I just want to help people."

 

Her mom smiled, "You're a very kind person, Jesse." Kyuu smiled too, "I told you he's not bad at all." she said and looked at her dad. He smiled a little, "Okay, okay.."

 

Jesse smiled, he finally felt like he had a family.

 

When all of them finished their eating Kyuu's mom said, "I can do the dishes this time." she smiled. Kyuu raised her eyebrow, "Wow, usually you make me to do it." she grinned.

 

Jesse smiled, "I can help you with the dishes ma'am."

 

"Oh, thank you." her mom said and smiled. Kyuu looked at him, "Hey, you don't have to if you don't want to do it, Jesse..." she said.

 

"But I want to, your mom does'nt need to work so hard."

 

Kyuu smiled, "Well, then.." she said and stood up, "I'm in my room if you need me." she said as she started to head towards her room.

 

Jesse started washing a plate.

 

Kyuu's mom smiled at him as she also started to wash the dishes, "You're so kind boy." she said.

 

"Thanks, i just thought a pretty woman like you deserves some help."

 

Val heard her words, and was just as worried about her as she was for him. "Guess I am going soft."

Val crouched low to the ground, and let his sensed intensify. He heard a silent shot. The gun was equipped with a silencer. Typical, again. Val tilted his head slightly to the right, and the bulled flew by his head. It would have been a perfect shot.

Val straightened hs head again. and listened. He heard the shot again. Close to his 2 O'clock. He saw the bullet in motion. He reached out, and caught the bulled, painfully, in this hand. His hand was stung, but not hurt. He looked into the direction of the shot, and threw the bullet as hard as he could.

He listened, and heard the bullet hit the shooter's head. Perfect shot.

By hand, no less. He thought as he returned to the house. He opened the door to see Hope.

 

She still smiled, "Oh, thanks, you're a very kind young man. I thought the ones in your age would be different.."
