Kh-3 Prom/masquerade

Kyuu was shaken. "What?!" she glanced her mom who looked surprised. "Well, what are you doing here then?" she asked his parents.

 

Jesse's mom pulled out a file, "We are putting him in state custody. So we had to get his medical records. He will be put in a nasty home unless someone adopts him."

 

"You can't be serious!" Kyuu yelled at her. "Why do you think he's a mistake?"

 

"Because he is so pathetic. He gives to the poor, he protects the weak, he so kind. It makes me sick." Jesse just looked depressed.

 

Kyuu looked at Jesse and then turned back to his mom. "That's just a good thing!" she sounded mad.

 

His mom was about to slap Kyuu but Jesse grabbed her hand and said, "If you touch her, i'll kill you." Jesse's mom walked out leaving Jesse and Kyuu alone. Jesse sighed, "Why don't you convince your parents to adopt me."

 

Kyuu tried to calm down. She sighed and sat down. "I'll have to try." she looked at him, "I'll gotta talk to mom..."

 

Jesse waited for Kyuu when she went to speak with her mom.

 

Kyuu came back after few minutes. She smiled a little, "My mom promised to think about it but I'm not sure about dad..."

 

Val smiled back, but all too soon, he felt one. He turned around in panic, keeping Hope behind him. "Hope, no matter what happens now, I love you."

"There are Rouges with higher power than most, especially one. His name is Cornelius Grantz. . ."

As Val finished his sentence, a gust of wind greatly disturbed his senses.

It was Cornelius, he knew it was. No one else had the same power as him, except for one. . .his father.

A voice echoed in the distance. "Valerius, I have allowed you to destroy our own kind. Permitted your feeding from them. Even you living among the humans." The voice grew louder, angrier, "And now, you dare to defile the Grantz name by wooing a HUMAN GIRL?!"

Val shook his head, "I do not care what you have to say to me!" He turned to Hope, "Hope, I pray that you will never come to hate me. That you will always love me as I am, as I shall for you. . ."

There was footsteps down the road. Cornelius was coming. . .and he was pissed, as usual. A man, slightly taller than Val, wearing a black trenchcoat, also wearing black sunglasses. They are nearly identical.

Val summoned a his power, and wind began to blow between his and Cornelius. "Hope, meet Cornelius, my father." He turned to his father, "And if you take another step, you'll be missing a neck."

 

"In case he does'nt agree......will you wait for me? Until i'm 18."

 

Kyuu nodded. "I will." she looked at him. "But let's hope he'll agree..."

 

"I hope." just then her dad entered the room.

 

"Oh, dad..." Kyuu looked at him, "Have you made the decision?" she asked carefully. Her dad looked at her and nodded.

 

Jesse looked nervous he was waiting for him to say yes or no.

 

"I've thought about the adoption..." her dad said, "But first of all, I want both of you to answer one question." he said and looked at Jesse and Kyuu. "First you, boy. How much do you really love my daughter?"

 

Jesse looked him straight in the eye, "I would travel to hell and back for her, I would gladly give my life for her, and I will always protect her and make her happy. That's how much I love your daughter."

 

He sighed. "Well, I guess that's enough." she looked at Kyuu, "I was about to ask the same question to you but I think that he made the things clear." he smiled a little, "Maybe he's not that bad.." he then shook Jesse's hand, "What's your name?"
