You shouldn't use your own characters as an example, Summoner. Just sayin'.

  2. EtherealSummoner

    EtherealSummoner Lamentations 3:22-26

I used Zerieth's judge character in this too besides my own Moog because that's a perfect example in my opinion as to what Inida can do vs what Zerieth's judge can do.

Well, strictly speaking, a character that could manipulate water and air, could manipulate the weather within a given area. Though yes, water couldn't normally go through a person, unless it was falling from the sky at a phenomenal rate, and froze into a literal bullet. Mind you, ice is a form of water. Actually, an abyss CAN be an earthen formation, seeing as it's defined as a deep gulf, or great space. Strictly speaking, manipulating weather, and nature is far more plausible than manipulating the flow of time.

I digress though (@axel), the powers WOULD, logically, be damaging to your character, as to achieve the more powerful ones, your energy would have to be extended beyond their normal limits. So none of it could be done done in an instant, unless of course, your character has been built up to the point of instantaneous effects being possible. But I doubt that many of you here have in fact built up a character at this point in time, at least in that respect.

Also, Honor Guard is in now.

AND, I've decided that the edited Kuan Dailel will not be making an appearance as of yet. I'll be using a different character, which is being retrieved like, right now.

Once I've retrieved, and made the necessary tweaks to my character, I'll put the numbers coinciding to each member (see the original post) through a randomizer, which will determine the matches.

  9. All right, can I recommend a bracket generator?

If you want to. I was just gonna do it out myself.

  11. Okay, I'll let you do it.

I just realized my character could be seen as over powered so i am going back to add a definition of his abilities and limits.

My Character (At least, for round 1):

    Name: Glyde Adrian Savian
    Age: 18
    Gender: Male
    Appearance:
    anime_kid.jpg picture by Dark-Angel-Ly - Photobucket

    Personality:
Considerably reserved and introverted towards others, other than himself, he reveals little of himself to only a few people. He only ever says anything of his issues, and personal endeavors to those he holds in the highest of trust. In hiding his inner most thoughts and beliefs, he is also an inquisitive type, prone to working others into revealing what they know. Deeper into his persona, he has a hard manner in judging himself on the basis of his shortcomings. He’s well known (and often berated) amongst others for trying to be a ‘superman’. He does what he can to help those that need it, and is subject to bouts of depression when such attempts fail meet with failure. So one might say that he is hard caring type of individual, often hiding the fact that he does in fact care for others.

    Side: Good

    Battle Style:
Given that the art of melee combat is something difficult to achieve for such weapon as Glyde’s, he makes primary use of the innate abilities of his Keyblades. His maneuvers, and battle capabilities are largely reflective of Sora’s Wisdom Form. He hovers inches from the ground in levitation whilst on the move, firing off shots of magically imbued energy. Is method of combat is reflective of a more guerilla style tactic. He attempts to out maneuver his foes, or otherwise, stays hidden, and makes use of sniping to pick of enemies from a distance. Otherwise, he makes a wide use of sneak attacks, occurring randomly, and irregularly from whatever vantage point he can gain.

    Armaments

    Keyblade:
    1. Marksman -
A Keyblade weapon that is, shall we say, significantly different from most of the others that have been floating around. In fact, to even dare to call it a blade would be a rather lengthy mistake, as it is no blade. In actuality, Glyde’s weapon is more of a Keygun, as opposed to a Keyblade. Marksman, Glyde’s primary Keygun, is like the shotgun of the hunter’s armory. Its length places it at about three feet, give or take a few inches. Where the blade itself would normally be seen on a blade, is the rough form of a twin-barreled setup, bearing two teeth on the top, which form the sights of the gun. Upon the butt end of the gun form, where on a blade, a hilt would be found, the Key shifts into a guard above the handle, which is oriented in a fashion similar to the trigger of a gun. At the bottom of the barrel, a bayonet blade s ticks out beyond the length of the rest of the weapon.

    2. Quick Shot -
Like Marksman, Quick shot is reminiscent of a your standard firearm, and of the same general. Albeit, Quick Shot is significantly short, only about the size of the common handgun. It bears only one barrel-esque form protruding out, and a curved hilt, making it looks more like a pistol revolver than anything else. Unlike Marksman, Quick Shot is not summonable by Glyde as a default (though it can be used as such). Instead, he keeps it strapped into holster around his belt. He does this because in his opinion, it looks a hell of a lot cooler. A single tooth rests at the end of the barrel.

    Chain(s):
    1. Heavy Arms Chain -
Compatible with Marksman only, Heavy Arms Chain is used for the purpose of augmenting the destructive capabilities of the Keygun. Through taking a charging period between shots, usually of about five seconds extra for a noticeable effect. Through charging, the gun piles successive shots upon one another, combining two or more into a single large blast, or stream. Given the rate of charge time wise, it is ill advised to use this chain in battle. It is generally used for clean up, and for covering areas in which enemies are believed to be in hiding, and in a non-aggressive state of combat.

    2. Spitfire Chain -
Compatible with both Marksman and Quick Shot, the Spitfire Key Chain is primarily a fast combat based weapon. The Key Chain’s magical imbuement causes the normal shots to be charged to a lesser degree, resulting in smaller shots. By effect, it also closes the gaps between each shot. Hence, the rate of fire granted to the Keyguns is significantly greater. The power put into each shot is diminished. But the rate of fire allows for successive shots to be blanketed upon an enemy rapidly, making up for the lack of power in single shots.

    3. Muffler Chain –
Let’s face it. The shots let off by Quick Shot and Marksmen are going to make some kind of noise as they speed off at some unfortunate soul. The Muffler Chain, compatible with both Keys, serves to rectify this problem. The effect of its quipping, is the suppression of the sound waves let off by the shots. Essentially, the shots become nearly deafened down to nothing. Lest the target on the other end have super acute hearing, they’re apt to not even know that the shot is coming.

    Spells:
Well, Glyde has been taught magic by some very talented individuals during his life time, and his Keyguns seem to have amplified these abilities. He’s no Yen Sid, and neither were his teachers. But they were still amongst the elites of their trade. The Spells he has learned AND near mastered include:

    Reflecga –
A spell forged around the notions of light, used as a defensive maneuver in most cases, though also bearing some offensive throwbacks. Upon the casting of a reflect spell, the user is encased within an expanded, diamond patterned barrier of light-based magic. For the few seconds in which the user is encased, they are protected from most attacks placed upon them. As the skill develops, especially to the point at which Glyde has gotten it to, the spell lasts a bit longer, damaging foes caught within it’s bowels, and spraying out its fragments out unto the enemies surrounding it.

    Aeroga –
Another defensive spell maxed out due to the need for a tighter defense to complement his already acute offensive abilities. The purpose of this spell is usually to form a barrier of shifting air currents around one’s self, redirecting attacks, and tossing foes around like ragged dolls. Like with the reflect spells, Aeroga lasts for only a few seconds when cast in a standard fashion. But the violent nature of the air currents compensates for the brevity of the spell.

    Gravira –
One of the two major offensive spells that Glyde has been utilizing to adhere to his battle tactics. A gravity-based spell is one that produces, even for a moment, and intensified, augmented force of mass upon its target. Most often the spell is utilized to crush down foes under their own weight. This, along with Aero, and Stopra, is a spell that Glyde gets a kick out of toying with in the heat of battle.

    Stopra –
Perhaps the crux spell of Glydes offensive arsenal at this point in time. The exact nature of the spell’s working is unknown, as its effects seem to be spread beyond what can be visually interpreted. What is known is that the spell’s target is apt to find itself unable to move from the spot upon which it was cast unto them. The best conceivable method of this spell’s mechanics is that it negates the notions of space and time for a brief period, holding the target unto its spot within space for a few seconds. Hence, movement of any form is stripped from their person, making them vulnerable.

To some extent, he has learned to use curing spells, but he generally disregards such tactics in one on one, believing that such combat is meant to test the resolve of a warrior. He finds the use of such devices and spells an affront to honor. He does however carry a healthy amount of ethers upon him to replenish magical energy as needed.

    Drive Form:
    Sniper Form –
Glyde’s equivalent to Sora’s Final form. First and foremost, the Drive Form does not require a second, or third party member, as the fusion used to achieve it is not between people. Instead, the powers present within both Quick Shot, and Marksman, and their respective Keychains, are merged into a single, powerful Keybgun. The result is an elongated sniper rifle, nearly matching Glyde’s height, and bearing the power of all three Keychains. Its rate of fire is superb, compared even to The Spitfire Chain’s upgrade to Quick Shot. The power of each shot becomes reoriented, such that they’re more spear like, and arrow dynamic, as opposed to the ball shaped shots, making them more destructive. And last but not least, the shots almost entirely hushed by the effects of the Muffler Chain. In addition, the flare of light let off by each shot becomes dimmed.

Glyde’s powers within this form’s duration also see themselves in a state of augmentation. Many of his powers as such are reflective of Xigbar’s move sets. He can shift himself rapidly through space-(time), and his ability to aim shots advances beyond the norm. He can see farther, with greater accuracy, and casts spells at a significantly greater distance, making the notion of sniping all the more potent. Last, but certainly least in the Sniper Form’s lineup of powers, is its refraction field. This is a powerful electromagnetic occurrence, that serves to push light particles out of Glyde’s personal space, essentially cloaking him from sight.

AND THE MATCH UPS FOR ROUND 1

Battle 1 - Zerieth vs. Zhyriad
Battle 2 - Blademasterfan vs. Moogle
    Battle 3 - Roxas vs. Shadow*91
Battle 4 - SummonerBWM vs. Honor Guard

Battle 1 will be held in arena alpha, and Battle 2 will be held in arena beta. Battle's 3 and four will move into each arena as the other 2o are completed. So if 2 gets completed before one, then 3 will go into arena beta. I'll be requesting someone neutral to set up the arenas for the battles.

I swear you either hate me and want to get me out right away, or you don't want to play so you want me to take you out fast. Hopefully if it's the latter i will be happy to oblige. If it's the former, it won't be that easy. =P

By the way, i am now opening the arenas.

Actually, it's because I want that character to have more action. I created him a few months back for an RP that's now in the dying stages. I'd rather not see the character fall out of the wings just because the RP is dead.

And also, I do recall that the arenas had to be set before posting. By that note, Kairu will be taking care of setting the arenas up for the first round.
