I-spy

She looked at Tyler with curiosity.

“But of course, I’m a curious one, don’t you know?” She laughed.
I wonder what it could be, what would Tyler buy? He seemed quite eager to show it to me… it isn’t a gun again is it. She was happy with just the one gun. But what else could Tyler had purchased in this short period of time?

 

Tom was in the corner of the same cafe watching Tyler and Sky. He was eating a turkey and ham sandwitch. He was also reading a newspaper, so it'd appear like he wasn't paying attention to them. And it was to hide his face incase they looked in his direction. He took a drink from his soda.

 

"Ok I wasn't really expecting anyone else nor wanting otehrs, but that's ok, I'm up for it though. We still going to the park for the walk afterward like you promised before we got buisy?" Nicole asked Alex.

 

"Here take a look" Tyler pulled a shopping bag out and pulled out a box wrapped in a golden paper,

"Its for you in case you haven't realized" Tyler said smiling at her

 

The box wrapped in gold paper was beautiful, Sky liked shiny things. Being an orphan meant no objects or gifts. She hadn’t been close to anyone in years till she had met Tyler.

“What’s in it?” Sky said happily. She then pressed her ear against the box and began to gently shake.

“Is it bagels!!?” She blurted out without a second of thinking time.
By this time the café had been accustomed to her random outbursts.

 

"Close but not quite there" Tyler laughed

"Open it and find out" Tyler said taking a sip of his water.

 

Tyler’s so unfair, he never tells me anything. Ah well, I guess I’ll have to find out for myself.
Sky began to carefully remove the bow off the package, and then attacked the wrapping paper like a savage. People began to stare at her, apart from a man in a corner with a newspaper. He seemed to take no notice of anything which had happened in the last 10 minutes, even when Sky did create a scene. Something was rather suspicious.

 

"C'mon Sky lets go" Tyler said putting his jacket on and picking up his guitar case.

"That bozo with the paper is watching us and it beginning to annoy me" He told her.

 

Sky followed Tyler, she put on her new friendship braclet Tyler had just given her. She liked it alot.

"Okay," She replied and walked out the cafe. It had begun to rain outside.

"Wow, it's getting really rainy. Perfect day for a walk in the park." Sky said rather sarcasticly while thinking of Alex and Nicky.

 

"ha! do you really dislike her so much" Tyler laughed taking off his jacket and giving it to Sky

Tyler strapped his guitar to his back took Sky's hand and began to run,

He could feel the pull as Sky was trying to keep up with him,

"Were almost there" Tyler smiled as he saw the entrance to the HQ

 

Sky took Tyler’s remark at heart. Do I really hate Nicky? Or is it just jealousy? There’s nothing wrong with her apart from she’s amazing. More amazing then I will ever be. Sky sighed at this thought. It must be because of Alex, they make a great couple. I shouldn’t interfere, plus she’s known him longer. I know, as soon as I reach headquarters I’ll be nice to her. I’ll show her that I’m mature enough to handle it. Sky’s train of thought had stopped after she realised that she was slowing down Tyler.
A splash of rain had hit sky in the face and her eyes began to sting. Just a little further now. The water from the many puddles she had ran into had begun to seep into her boots. Oh great, I now have freezing toes. She couldn’t wait to be indoors again. She began to quicken her pace so she didn’t become an extra load for Tyler.

“I wonder what’s been going on down at headquarters?” She shouted to Tyler, the wind was making it hard to hear.

 

Tom laughed to himself as he paid the waitress whatever money it cost him to eat there. "So, they noticed me. Oh well." He thought to himself as he got up and left the building. He went in the direction that they went. "Well, I can't see them. So I guess they got away from me."

 

"Probably welcoming new members" Tyler answered.

"Here we are" Tyler said as they ran into the big building that was the HQ.

"So what you gonna do now?" Tyler asked Sky while taking off his soaking wet shirt and placing it on a radiator.

 

“Oh, sorry about that,” Sky said looking at Tyler’s soaking wet shirt. She felt a bit guilty now that he had given her his jacket.

“I don’t know, I guess I’ll just sit around and wait.” Sky was thinking about Nicky, she wondering when she and Alex would be back. She wanted to settle things once and for all.

“What are you going to do, where official members now, right?” She then sat on the floor and crossed her legs. She had begun to play around with the friendship bracelet Tyler had just given her. Friendship. She reflected, the word was one she did not get to think about much.

 

"Not to worry, It will dry soon" Tyler sat sown next to Sky, "Ah..hot" Tyler said straightening his back from the boiling radiator, "I think ill stand" Tyler said picking himself up off the ground.

 

The radiator was warm. It was just what Sky needed. She sneezed that shivered.

“Ha, I think I’m getting a cold,” she sneezed once more.
“You know what they say, you usually sneeze when people think about you.” Sky then thought to herself. I wonder who is thinking about me, maybe Alex?
She shook her head like a dog trying to dry off. Her hair was soaking but the heat given off from the radiator seemed to be slowly evaporating the wetness.

“It’s nice to be indoors,” She smiled at Tyler.

 

"Yeah, Its a shame i have to go" Tyler said taking his now dry shirt of the radiator and buttoning it up,

"I have some business to do in town, So ill see you later?" Tyler asked while putting his jacket on,

Tyler opened his Guitar case and took out his silver handgun with a scope on it and put in the back of his pants, He then put a lock on his guitar case and sat it beside Sky.

 

Nicky blinked as he left then shrugged it off.

"Sure why not." Nicky said. When they headed to the park about ten minutes of walking it started to downpour. Nicky felt the rain come down on her. It was sort of refreshing from the stress she recieved from Sky that day. Thinking baout her made her tickt off. She shrugged it off and looked at Alex.

"Looks like we might just be doing pick up." Nicky said not minding the rain at all. She was still a kid inside wanting to play out dorrs whenever. She rembers the one time her and Alex both ran outside in direntural down pour and began splashing in the mud her falling in and Alex going to help her up and he fell in. Good times to her.

 

Sky didn’t want Tyler to leave, she had grown accustomed to him looking after her. She now depended on him more than ever in times like these. The radiator seemed to sooth her, she yawned then began to close her eyes. It had been a long day and she could have done with a nice long rest.
Tyler left his guitar case, hmm I wonder what business he has to take care of in town. I hope he isn’t relying on me to look after it. I wonder what else is inside. Sky shook her head at the corrupt thought. I shouldn’t touch it, it’s not mine. She continued to stare at the smooth polished black case. She wanted to touch it, just to see how smooth the casing was.

“He locked it,” Sky mumbled under her breath. “I guess he doesn’t anyone knowing what’s inside.”
