Hunters

Lync looked at Wolf and stood there. "Thank you Wolfe." He then walked away from the group to find a place to be alone. He walked to the back room of the ship. it had a great view of space. Lyn saw a chair in the corner and sat down in it. He then sighed and took a look at the space behind them. "It looks nice out."

 

Reonarudo took off his helmet and walked to the area that Lync was in. He put the wheat stalk back in his and turned to him with his elbow pressed on the glass. "It got pretty hot back there huh?" He looked out to the empty and sighed. For the first time in a long time since his leaving from Earth at six years old, training in the Elite Defenders Academy, finishing top of his class at 10, then being shipped off at 15, a lot had changed in him. Finally, finally, he had been sober in his behavior.

Seeing men die on his first mission made his attitude change. "Lync . . . do you think we can really take this guy down?"

 

Reonarudo walked back to the bridge, something didn't feel right to him. He looked at wolf and spoke, "Sir, I think that we should turn back. I know have completed the mission, but I don't know what our parameters were. Was this mission a S & D mission? We couldn't have killed Grahl, could we?"

 

Lync sat just sat there. He was thinking about what Reo said. "I think we can." He looked towards the window and said "Even if the future looks bleak, we'll take him down." After that, he just sat there looking out of the window and wondering if they can do it. "I really hope we can."

 

"Arrived." "Bring us out." The second the ship came out of hyper space, Zain could see getting back in would be hopeless. "Wow, they brought out the stops. Scan, small range so they don't see us." "Scan complete. 4 Battle cruisers Kra'dak Class. Ten flights of 3 fighters flying escort." "Yeah, going in there would screw us up bad. Set hyperspace coordinates for the nearest friendly fleet." As the computer beavered away, Zain looked out at the stars. He could feel in his gut that Grahl was alive. After all, it had taken them several years to get this opportunity. They guy was good at staying alive. "I think he's out there." "Shall i run a scan for his life signature?" After some thought he replied, "That would be a waste of time. Lets just leave." "Very well. Coordinates set." He pushed the button, and they shot away.
He undid his clips, then headed aft once again. "Hey guys. Oh doggie, you're awake. I'll grab my medical stuff but i can't do much more than just stopping your bleeding. We're now leaving the system. They brought a lot of stuff to this planet, so we can't go back in unless we want to enter the atmosphere in pieces. Sorry, but you can't get your ship back." He grimace at this. "Now, let me fill you guys in. We're heading to the nearest friendly fleet, and dog bone can get some medical attention. The rules of my ship are as follows. Don't, Touch, Anything. Unless, of course that something is about to blow up in which case by all means, if you can fix it. Now, let me show you to your quarters." He slapped a nearby switch and several beds folded out of the wall. "There you go." He pulled out his medical supplies and proceeded to bandage Wolf.

 

Reo walked back out with his equipment back on. The dust from the area swept up and made the area look more barren than before. He looked at the wrekage and thought back to his training in the academy. "The quieter the area, the worse the ambush cadets ... Reo jumped back to reality and ran to a nearby rock for cover. He then took out his sniper rifle and scanned the area with his finger trembling on the trigger. "Damn, what if he's not dead, he could be waiting for us right now with everything he's got ... CRAP!" Reon regained his composer and signaled an "all clear" to the team.

 

Reon continued to scan the terrain with his weapon. But then out of the corner of the lens he noticed a giant figure limping about looking for a place to go. Reon pressed his fingers tightly on his COM link and shouted. "Search confirmed! Grahl is alive! Repeat Grahl is alive! Requesting Aggressive Progress!"

 

OOC: Your not even on mephra guys. Your in my ship. I pulled you guys in back when wolf was unconcious. We're almost back in our air space and we are setting up to look around for him again.

Zain woke up with a start as his ships computer beeped. They had arrived at the alliance fleet. "Bringing us out." He said into his intercom. It had been a few hours since their escape. Obviously his computer had found a really close fleet. The second he did so, his ship was rocked by an explosion. Claw ships and Defense ships were moving slowly to bring their main guns to bear on each other. Fighters danced around the behemoths in a deadly dance. Blaster shots flew everywhere. "My god. Did the Defenders try to invade? Jesus." He was snapped out of the moment as a his ships warning siren blared. Missle lock.
"We got company!" He yelled into the intercom. "Inshalla, bring all weapons and shields online. Set back to manual. We got a problem." "Really?" "And no sarcasm right now, or we'll be dust." He cranked his ship hard right, and dove to escape the shots. "This is the inshalla, requesting permisssion to land. I have a wounded guy on board, and flying around dodging missles probably won't be good for his health."
"Inshalla, this is the Brigade Star. Sorry, but as you can see we're busy ourselves."
"Do something, or Wolfs not gonna survive the trip. He's hurt bad."
"Wolf!? Did they suceed?"
"No, i think grahl escaped. Just a gut feeling. His ship was damaged in low orbit, but i didn't really see it go down."
"We'll arrange a escort team."
"Thanks." An explosion sounded as his shields began to flare under enemy fire. "Make that fast, i'll hold em off as long as I can. Inshalla out." In his intercom he yelled, "Reo, get your sorry butt up here and fly co pilot."

 

Lync heard what Zain said and called to out to Reo on his intercom. "Reo." "I'll take care of it." He then got off of the chair and started walking towards the cockpit. He put his gun away while walking and started to yawn. Once he was at the cockpit, he looked at Zain and said "Hey, I'm here in Reo's place." "Please let me help."

 

Lync looked at the ship and said "Yeah." "I think it is." He saw the lasers and missles fired coming towards them. "Aw crap." He then manuvered part of the ship to dodge the attacks. He then turned to Zain and said "We have to be careful or else they are going to smoke us!" He looked around and said "And we don't want that."

 

"If you got time to talk, you're not flying fast enough. Inshalla, target incoming missles." "Targeted." He loosed a blast of lasers and destroyed the oncoming missles. "And i don't care who's ship that is. It's still trying to kill us."
"Inshalla. We have arranged an escort for you. Stand by."
As these words were spoken, a wing of fighters flew out of the fight and escorted the Inshalla to the nearest carrier. "Finally." They docked, then a med team came running out to take wolf to the med room.

"All hands. We have lost number 2 engine." Blared the ships intercom.

"God, i hope this thing holds together."

 

Reon looked at the lasers flash past the ship at great speed. However, deep fear set into his chest. "Oh my God, we're gonna die. It's in space . . . there's no way out if we get hit . . . I'm gonna die!" The ship rocked hard from an impact and Reo fell to his knees and began to breathe heavily. "I'm gonna HUFF! I'm gonna die out here. No, no, no, no, no, NO!!!"
