Hunters

Will reloaded his battle rifle with lightning presicion as he continued to back up into the complex, aim never straying from Grahl's helmet. He continued to shoot at Grah, ducking behind a wall to reload afer he had used that clip. "Get in, lockdown in 15 seconds!" He barked, peeking around the corner and shooting down one of Grahl's men.

 

Lync was quiet. He never really talked during missions. All he did was follow orders. This time was back into a wall while 20 men were trying to gun him down. He looked at the wall behind him and said "It seems I'm done for." He then turned to the men and said "Not." He then started shooting with his colt .45 pistol. He kept shooting while dogding every bullet that was going for him. Once the shooting stop, Lyn, who was unharmed walked over to Wolf and said "What should we do now chief?"

 

Reonarudo deassembled his sniper rifle and ran down the hill with great speed. He pulled his USP .45 and held it up at an enemy that was to his right. He pulled the trigger three times and the bullets zoomed and hit the enemy in the head, heart, and abdomen. "Damn 7 seconds!" He leaped forward and landed next to Will heaving. He leaned back on the wall and breathed out. "Hey huff, huff, you." he said with his usual grin.

 

"Now exiting Hyper space." The ships computer said in a light male voice. Zain woke up from his power nap, and sat forward so he could control his ship. The Inshalla flies like a dream. I have to thank the tech heads for this baby. He thought.
Just then his scanning monitor beeped. He didn't even bother looking at it. The ship would tell him what was coming. "4 fighters spotted. Configuration matches Shadow Claw fighters. Fighters now designated as enemies. Enemy starfighters are Freen class. Enemy arament unknown. Standing by." He tapped a button that was blinking, signaling that he was being hailed. A helmeted face appeared on his heads up screen. "Fighter, you are in Shadow Claw space. Indentify yourself and state your intentions." Zain smiled at the formality. His ship was hardly unnkown, but these flunkies were just covering the bases before they could blast his ship out from under him. "I bet you know me, so why don't we just skip that bit." "Very well. Zain, why are you in our space?" "Let me see. It couldn't have anything to do with frying your asses could it?" He could almost see the pilots eyes burning with rage at the comment. "Laugh while you can. This is your last day." The screen went back to showing the stars. "I just love messing with these fighter jocks. Inshalla, revert to manual control." "Now on manual control. I assume you want weapons and shields up?" He had long ago customized his ship with a personality. It made his trips a little less lonely. "Yes."
The engines increased in pitch as a slight haze covered his ship, and just in time. The first two fighters had let loose with a salvo of laser shots that hit his shield, and bounced away. "Enemies are now firing." "Gee, thanks for that. I didn't know." He growled, before putting his ship in a dive. The first two fighters followed him, while the other two started straight down. Wow, these guys are smarter than i thought. Out loud he said, "Release replacement parts." "Parts released." There was a clunk, and suddenly a bunch of parts flew out of the back of his ship, right into the path of the enemy fighters. Their shields flared at the multiple impacts, and they broke off. At the same time, Zain set his missles to target the two fighters in front of him. His console beeped twice, and he fired. The two fighters also broke off, but it was to late. They both flared as the missles hit, and when the explosion cleared they were just scrap, open to space.
Zain crowed, but was cut off as several shots fired by him. The other two were back, and they were looking for revenge. "Put bow shields to aft." "Shields configured." He sent his ship into a loop, trying to break off. It wasn't working, and he was being matched maneuver for maneuver. "Damn, get off my back. Full stop." He said. The engines instantly cut out, and the enemies soared by him. He set his missles, and again the monitor beeped. He fired. One ship got away, but the other was destroyed quickly. He let loose with a salvo of lasers, but he was matched and the enemy ship shot away.
"I hope my ship jammed that guy for me." "Confirmed." "That was rhetorical." His missle lock beeped, but he knew that the missles computer brain wouldn't fix this guy. He was beginning to regret the speed of his ship, as the guy was pulling away. He decided to fire the missles, and let loose with two more. His missle malfunction light came on, but the two were streaking away. "Inshalla, identify problem." "Missle L4 is jammed, and will not fire if required." "Cuuuuute." This was directed at the ship, as it went into a barrel roll. The missles cycled closer and closer, then exploded. A brain wave hit Zain. Before, the guy had peeled away to the left when he had foiled his first missle. If he was cocky, it might be a bit of a victory dance for him, modified to help him in battle and let him gloat. It was a long shot. There! The ships right engine glowed brighter, and the guy was peeling to the left just like last time. "Got you!" Zain crowed as he also matched the guy. He fired his blasters, and was greeted with an explosion. The four fighters were dust.
"YES!" He shouted.
A few hours after the battle, he pulled into orbit over Mephra. "Inshalla, begin scanning for Wolf and his team." After a minute or so, his computer beeped. "Hail him, D9 encryption." "Hailing." Now all he had to do was wait patiently, and years of bounty hunting had let him develop a vast amount of that.

 

Will keyed his com to the ship. "Bring the dropship down. Put the SPNKR Launchers and all Snipers we have onboard." He told the pilot, reloading his gun as he said this. He keyed it again. "Wolf, I'm having the dropship come in. He has to have an escape area." He said to the commander, slinging his BR55 Battle Rifle over his shoulder.

 

Lync looked at Wolf and said "Sorry Wolf." He then put his hand on Wolf's shoulder, whichever is something he would never do. He then said "Its going to be ok, my friend." He then took his hand off of Wolf's shoulder and said "We should get going." "We can't stay here for long." He then loaded up his pistol and started walking.

 

Reon breathed out and walked behind the group. "All right guys so what do we know about this guy? He's smart, a hellova fighter, and he controls a massive force that has already killed many of our dudes? I mean, hey, how about we just switch sides?" Reon looked around the group to see there reaction. Then he bent backwards and laughed, "HAHAHAHA! OH MAN, I WAS ONLY KIDDIN'. But umm, yeah, let's go, too crowded."

 

It was taking forever on his ship. Finally he said, "Inshalla, bring up his location on tactical." "On screen." He was surprised to see they were on planet. "Ah, i was late." "Life signs detected. Enemies." "I see that. Time to head down there." He grabbed his controls, and headed planet side.

He landed his ship in a crevice, using super strong cables to keep it there until he got back. Pulling out a cable, he rapelled down the rock face, until he was inside the enemies hangar bay. Looking across the room, he saw Wolf. "Way to not answer my bloody call you dog." He called, then walked over.

 

Will srode up to Zain, grinning behind his polarized visor. "Welcome back Zain, How have you been?" He asked, checking all his guns. He hadn't seen Zain since they traine together almost two years ago. "How is your ship? Still malfunctioning?" He asked.

 

Reonarudo ran up and punched Zain in the arm. "Well, well, looks who's here!" he said with a huge grin on his face. "Did you think that we were gonna wait up on you man, shoot, yeah right!" Reonarudo holsterd the USP.45 in his hand and stood back from the two. "All right," he began, "we got Grahl on the run and in there," he pointed to the area from which they had been not to long ago, "we have a possible way to getting to him. I don't what else we have to do but the T.L. told to get inside before the lockdown happened."

 

The dropship laded right in front of Wolf. Will grinned. "Everyone in. We have all the SPNKR Launchers and every long range weapon on this ship. Let's go." Will said, entering the dropship. He strode up to a rack that had the numbers 119 above it. He put all his weapon into the racks and went to the pilot seat, bringing up a 3D topographical map on his HUD display. "I found his escape route, we can cut it off." He said into his com.

 

Will grinned. "Well not this time." He said, shutting the ship's bay when everyone was in and slamming the throttle forward. The ship kicked up off the ground and above the cave Grahl went into. He circled the cliff and came around to see a large ship docked to the rock face. "Ummm... we have a problem." He said.

 

Will stood, pushing Wolf into the pilot's seat and opening the side bay door. He grabbed a SPNKR homing launcher and some ammo and went to the bay, hefting the launcher one handed. "Wolf, get me a clear shot!" He roared. He tried to let it home in but he couldn't hold it steady.

 

Will let loose two of the missles, hitting one of Grahl's engines. He started to reload and said. "Wolf, follow him!" He hefted the launcher for another shot and fired, these two going wide. One of the second set of missled skimmed the cockpit. "Crap!" He said, throwing the empty shells from the SPNKR Launcher and reloading it, hands flying over the gun.
