I read it along time ago and can't find it again. It was on just a random fansite I was at looking for news on KH. I can't find it though. I'll keep searching though.

Nomura did say the unbirth's existence would be revealed soon.

...now that's also interesting. Why would a heart be unborn? What could possibly prevent it?

I think that a huge part in attempting to solve this mystery lies in understanding the basics behind it. The components of a being with a spirit, a soul, a body...and maybe an additional one: the heart. Depends. I need to conduct more research in regards to this.

Anyway, the spirit has three functions (communion/fellowship--with God, intuition--ability to determine God's will from our own, and conscience--ability to know right from wrong). The soul also has three functions (mind/intellect--ability to remember, think, etc., free will--ability to choose/make decisions, and emotions--ability to feel, express feeling, etc.). The body is a vessel for the soul and the spirit.

The heart is trickier to place into a category, however. Some argue that the heart is the innermost core of the spirit, yet is inseparable from the soul. Some argue that the heart is a combination of all of the faculties of the soul (mind, will, emotions) and the foremost part of the spirit (the conscience), which supports the idea of being inseparable from the soul.

Either way, I am convinced that the heart remembers. Memories are integral to the heart--as are feelings themselves. And feelings and memories are clearly intertwined...and based upon these two things in combination with what we recognize as right or wrong, we make choices of free will. It seems to fit nicely.

So, I was thinking about memories and their connection to the heart, and wondered about the relationship between Namine, Kairi, Xion, Roxas, Sora, and (lesser) Riku...could Xion have come into being because of lost, false, or rewritten memories?

I am beginning to think that the soul and the heart are very close to one another, if the heart does not share the soul's faculties...

I think the unbirths are involved with death. That when death occurs the soul is released and something is applied and creates an unbirth.

Well, in a BBS trailer Ven was asking someone to erase him. Possibly, when you get 'erased' you turn into an Unbirth. Or maybe, when one becomes an Unbirth, you become just that...undone, to be born again in some future time. Is that what Ven wanted? Maybe that's why...he came back as Roxas? O____o

I doubt being erase turns someone into an unbirth. If that was so then they would still be around.

Maybe not. If Unbirths are formed by people being erased, and then people stop being erased, no more Unbirths.

Well it has to be something that has stopped, and being erased i don't think has stopped, so i don't think its that, but i don't think its when death occurs either.

Depending on your definition "erased". The organization still uses the word erase though.
