Hogwarts Glory Days

Chloe looked at him breathing hard looking down at the ground. Her half animagus form disappeared as she stood there normally. Her spare hand clenched into a fist as her other clenched her wand.

"ME?!" She shouted at him before storming at him standing directly in front of him.

"What are you doing here, Apollo?! I asked you also not to come here! And what the hell were you doing?! Casting a forbidden spell?! The spoken words of those spell even when not casting should not be done, let alone attempting to cast the spell?!" Chloe shouted at him. Her blood was boiling.

"The last known person to cast that spell killed hundreds of people, hundreds, he was a being of complete darkness, not fit for even the term of wizard. He was a monster! That spell turns people into monsters! Is that what you want to become?" Chloe asked him, voice raised and now shaking at this point.

At this point, her whole body was shaking, her hands were clenched into fists, blood boiling, but the most noticeable thing about her right there, were the tears.

She was crying, her face was soaked with them as some were to the point of already dripping off her face to the snow covered ground leaving drops in the snow where they landed and melted.

"Apollo... why?"

Chloe looked up at him in utter shock and disbelief, still crying. She stood there though in silence as the tears flowed down her face.

Chloe found it hard to look at Apollo, to think even at a low and lost point he found himself there practicing a forbidden curse. After awhile of just standing in his arms, not hugging him back, she raised her arms up and laid her head on his chest.

They could only hope things would get better, but the truth was, it would only get worst.




Another student from the Christmas Quidditch match was taken, this time students witnessed it but were unable to do anything.

Students left on school grounds were in a bit of shock as realization of werewolves came to be known as the kidnappers.

Things got worst when the other students returned, they weren't even on Hogwarts grounds yet when the Hogwarts Express was stopped and attacked by the whole pack of werewolves. Several students were taken. Fortunately a lot of the professors who didn't reside at Hogwarts were able to step in and get the werewolves to call off the attack.

It didn't make it better though when four students were taken.

April was on that train, she was almost taken thankfully for her, the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor was on her same train and was able to save her. April told Chloe and Apollo this, ever since then Apollo has sunken into an even darker stage. The relationship between Chloe and April has been tense, the two girl's noticing. April because of it has been trying to distance herself from her brother getting annoyed and definitely sharing the same stubborn trait as her older brother, as for Chloe, she has been just existing with Apollo.

Their relationship has been tense, tightening, and the original spark and playfulness was lost. Chloe hopes everyday and prays that it'll come back, but she suspects even the day the werewolves disappear that it still won't return back to what they normally had.

Come the first week of February, a bigger shocker occurred when Chaz Michaels, Apollo's best friend, assistant team captain and chaser of the Hufflepuff quidditch team, and seventh year prefect wasn't just taken, but was actually found dead, wand in hand. It's rumored the forbidden killing curse, the same Apollo had previously attempted to learn, did it.

From that day on, students were forbidden to venture the halls and definitely not outside the castle without being accompanied in a small group. Older students were paired up with younger first year and second year students. Students were not allowed outside past sunset and prefects were not permitted to roam the castle grounds as part of their assignments anymore, they would be restricted to strictly inside the castle. The professor's took over the grounds, and even then they were in pairs.


"Dueling club?"

That's all it took, Chloe asking what it was as she found herself at the try outs in the dueling room, forced there by Apollo. It was the biggest turn up in the past decade.

"Welcome to the biggest turn up in over a decade the Dueling Club has ever seen." Professor Figee, Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, stated, for the fifth time that day, the times prior though were in individual conversation and maybe twice when he approached Apollo and her.

"I'm so excited for this year, we're going to have a fun time and learn a lot. But of course to join the club it is a try out." Figee stated looking around at everybody. Many people stood eager, many more seemed bored... other's forced to come.

It has been something almost all the professor's were pushing students to attend. Every student taking a Defense Against the Dark Arts class were forced to come, including first and second years (though they were on a different day with a different club).

"Now then, for your tryouts, you will be facing against Apollo here, he is the student leader of this club as well as the top student dueler in the entire school." Figee pointed out as Apollo stood proudly on the stage.

"Now he's been instructed to go easy on you all, based on your level of studies, of course. So any volunteers to go first." That was the moment when nobody wanted to go first, not even the students who wanted to be there.

The thing was nobody really knew if Apollo would go easy on them. They all saw how Apollo was being, he was cold and a bit distant with everybody. He had earned a reputation over the past few weeks worst that some Slytherin's who were the same way.

People had even begun to question why Chloe was still in a relationship with him based on the way he treated her. But she knew some truths.

"Ok... how about I pick, York, how about you." Chloe looked up a bit shock, "Oh come on, I'm sure you and Apollo have a lot of duels."

If by duels it consisted of mental duels yes, but the only time Chloe ever used a spell against Apollo was to stop him from using a forbidden curse. Even then Chloe was never able to truly forgive him or herself for that day.

Chloe hesitantly moved towards the stage walking up the steps and towards Apollo who stood in the middle with Professor Figee.

Her hair pulled back, her outfit showed confidence, but her body showed hesitant.

"Alright to start our duels, I will call 'wands at the ready.'" Immediately Apollo demonstrated his arm snapping his wand up, "Then you will lower your wands and take four steps back. You will turn around and face one another and once you've made eye contact cast your spell." Meanwhile Apollo demonstrated every step with Chloe still standing there, but not casting a spell.

"Alright, now from the start... Wand's to the Ready."

 

Chloe listened to the professor, still hesitant. She turned back around not expecting what was about to happen.

She felt her body fly back and fall hard.

" Get up...get up right now! i said Get the hell up! do you want to lay down when wolves come upon you huh! then get the hell up! Don't be weak we can't afford to be weak not now...not ever"

Apollo shouted at her. She writhed in pain as he shouted at her.

"Get up!" He shouted again. Chloe closed her eyes as tears stung.

"Pathetic." The whole room was in silence and shock, even Professor Figee who seemed to be in the biggest bit of shock.

Apollo started to walk off his back to her.

"Deprimo." Chloe reached her wand and casted it on Apollo as suddenly he fell to the ground with an intense force and he screamed out in pain.

"Get up." Chloe spoke in a whisper her wand still held up, her voice was monotone and soft.

"You don't lay down with the wolves." She spoke again.

"Perhaps this will bring you down to Earth." She said before flicking her wand and throwing him towards the back wall. The room was even in more shock by what just happened. Apollo they were shocked, but many expected that from him, but not from Chloe. She turned around and walked out of the duel room.

 

She raised her fist instead and punched him square in the nose.

"Who the hell are you?" Chloe asked as blood ran from his nose, sure to be a broken nose.

"You're not keeping anybody safe! Look around you, you're destroying people!" She shouted at him.

"Whoever you are, I want you to bring back my boyfriend, release him wherever you have him." Chloe shouted at him tears falling down her face as students started to gather.

 

Tears fell from her eyes.

"Alright everybody, move, move!" Chloe could hear the professor arrive. Chloe looked up with blurry eyes as she saw Professor McGonagall frown towards her and Professor Dumbledore next to her.

"Go on, everybody back to your common rooms, curfew is almost on you all." Professor McGonagall said pushing all the students along as Dumbledore looked towards her.

Amongst the crowd stood April, in complete and utter shock. She witnessed it, all of it, having skipped out on her duel club she was waiting on Chloe, expecting her to try out first and leave, but what she saw was much work.

"Ah, Miss. Vance, would you mind escorting Miss. York back with you to the Ravenclaw Tower?" April looked up before nodding her head.

"Yes, professor..." April said hurrying over to the shocked Chloe, "Come on, Chloe..." April said leading her down the hall, hand around the older girl's back and arm for comfort.


"Professor..." Professor Figee stepped forward sighing, "I witnessed everything that occurred in the Duel Club Try Outs but, I didn't see what happened out here, though I can confirm what a lot of us suspected, would seem to be true."

"Professor I know Miss. York, she's one student I actually do enjoy, I call forth that boy be punished!" Filch exclaimed in anger.

"If I might, the boy's sister is my top student, she has told me quite a bit about Mr. Vance that I may also suggest he be put on tight surveillance, the boy is a danger to the students, maybe even more than the wolves he so passionately seeks to destroy." Snape spoke next.

"How did we ever get to this point. He was always such a nice student, so friendly, kind, gentle, and loyal to everybody. Whatever happened..." Professor Sprout, head of Hufflepuff spoke next frowning.

"We must relax, we all suspected this when he confronted the wolves, though we may not have foreseen this extreme of actions as this, we predicted this. The importance is still we keep the students safe, guide, care, lead, teach, and perhaps nourish them. As for Mr. Vance, I will speak to him alone in my office on his own terms, which I shall inform him now. Now like Minerva stated, curfew is almost on us and I encourage we begin our nightly posts." Dumbledore spoke as the professor's who gathered looked towards each other before doing just as Dumbledore instructed.

 

That last month was hard on Chloe. She sunk away from everybody, often being alone. She's often found sitting alone not even trying to connect with people.

April has given up on her brother. She was extremely upset and angry that he broke up with Chloe. She has distanced herself from him, and she tries to still be there for Chloe, but has begun to find her own path.

Chloe found herself at the Slytherin and Hufflepuff match. Originally she wanted to stay behind in the Ravenclaw Tower.

"Welcome to today's match of Hufflepuff vs. Slytherin!" An announcer stated. Chloe sat on the bench as the Ravenclaw house cheered. They were mixed on who they were cheering for, but due to Hufflepuff's strong loyalty to Apollo despite the way he's been treating everybody, Hufflepuff has slowly begun to receive a cold shoulder, especially from Ravenclaw where Apollo's ex girl friend was a prefect and on the quidditch team, it was April's idea to cheer for Slytherin though else most like Chloe, might of been not doing anything else or not cheering for anybody.

The players were already out flying about and the announcer, a Hufflepuff, read through names,

"And ladies and gentlemen we have the best seeker hogwarts has ever seen. Give it up forrrr Apollo Vance!!"

Boo's came from Slytherin and quite a few from Ravenclaw, meanwhile Griffindor hesitantly cheered as Hufflepuff still went mad. A banner was made "For Chaz" in honor of the player they lost, Chloe was good friend's with Chaz, he had died over winter break. This was their first game without their assistant captain.

Chloe looked up briefly at Apollo as he looked towards Ravenclaw but looked away instead.

"I'm going back..." Chloe said standing up.

"Chloe! No wait, look there he is!" April exclaimed pointing towards Slytherin's Seeker, a second year, Matthew Watson.

The whistle was blown and snitch was released with the quaffle in the air, the match begun.

It was clear Hufflepuff had worked their butts off to do well in that game. The chasers were on the best game yet.

Meanwhile, the two seekers stood well above the match watching for the snitch.

"Hey, Vance!" The Slytherin seeker called to the other boy.

"I wanted to introduce myself, maybe not the best place during a match, but introductions have been made at weirder locations, I'm Matthew Watson."

 

Chloe sat there and watched the game go on.

"Matt's found it! He's even passed Apollo!" April shouted excited. Chloe looked over next to her as the whole Ravenclaw team stood up cheering for Matt.

Chloe remained sitting there not particularly cheering for anybody, "Come on... Apollo." She whispered under her breath.

Chloe watched, she knew Apollo could blame part of it on the brooms, Matt has a newer broom which is incredibly fast.

"Go Matt!" April shouted over everybody else. That's when Apollo suddenly stopped and looked over at Ravenclaw and over to his sister, he lost sight of the snitch staring at his sister with a look of disappointment, April not caring as she watched Matt go after the snitch.

"He got it!" April shouted as the whole house erupted into our roar of celebration.

"Matthew Watson has caught the golden snitch! Slytherin Wins!!"

Chloe sat there looking towards Apollo frowning, she looked over at Matthew flew over and he and April hugged.

As Chloe looked back towards Apollo, they made eye contact. She looked down before watching him fly off as fast as he could on his broom.

That's when she stood up and without the rest of the house noticing, she managed to leave the stands.

She descended down the stairs until she heard a blood curdling scream echo within the stairway. Nobody else seemed to have heard it though. Quickly Chloe ran down the stairs as fast as possible and nearly screamed herself finding Professor Figee, knocked out cold.

"Help!" Chloe heard the scream again digging out her wand she ran out the stairwell door looking across the field seeing a massive wolf running off with a student from Slytherin.

"Alarte Ascendare!" Chloe shouted pointing her wand towards the werewolf as it shot up high in the air, and dropped the student. This gave her time to run after it. She slid to a stop at the student.

"Get back to the Quidditch pitch and alert the professors!" She exclaimed as the student nodded frantically and ran off back towards the pitch.

Chloe looked over as the werewolf landed back on the ground.

"You're going to wish you didn't do that you little-"

"Baubillious!" Chloe called out as the tip of her wand lit up and shot towards the werewolf, attacking it.

"Bombarda Maxima!" Chloe called out next as an explosion occurred around the werewolf. As the smoke cleared the werewolf laid in naked human form bloody and cut up.

"Chloe get back!" Chloe looked back to see Professor Snape, Professor Dumbledore, and Professor Fitwick.

She didn't move though as the professor pulled out their wands as well. The werewolf pushed up off the ground looking up.

"You're going to pay for that!" The werewolf raised a wand and pointed it towards Chloe flicking it, only for Professor Snape to jump in front of the spell putting up a shield. When he lowered it the werewolf looked angered.

"I will make you pay Chloe York, Alpha wants you, and I'll make sure I'll be the one to deliver." The professors stood around as they got ready to cast before a puff of smoke appeared. Chloe felt the professors hold onto her as if to make sure the werewolf didn't come after her.

"What were you thinking, Chloe! You could of been severely hurt or worst!" Professor Fitwick exclaimed Chloe looked towards him.

"I must agree." Snape snarled as well.

"What led you to do this, Chloe?"

"I heard a scream leaving the stands, ran down and found Professor Figee knocked out and saw the Slytherin student being taken. I reacted how I could to save her." Chloe explained.

"You risked yourself from also being taken away." Dumbledore spoke up, "I cannot encourage this type activity, but you seemed to know what you were doing. Professors, I must ask that you get the students escorted back to Hogwarts immediately and attention be given to Professor Figee. As for you Miss. York, I reward Ravenclaw 60 points for you quick actions, but I must speak to you alone."

Chloe looked at Dumbledore and nodded.

"I must also speak to you alone, sir."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, Professor." Chloe said as she sat in a chair in his office Dumbledore standing looking out a window.

"I'm glad you're now tell me, Chloe, but of course you knew that I already knew."

"Yes, sir, I just felt I needed to come clean."

"I'm glad you did, that means I may finally have the two greatest students most prepared to deal with this threat, a threat many of the professor's themselves can't deal with."

"Excuse me professor, but you mentioned... two?"

"Aw, yes, and it would seem our second student has just arrived. Mr. Vance, you can come in, no need to be eavesdropping.

Chloe looked shocked looking back towards the door of Dumbledore's office. The door opened, as Apollo stood there a bit shocked and looked around the office until he and Chloe made eye contact both of them looking away from each other.

"Before I can rely on the two of you to do anything though, I need you two to make up and realize each other as equals." Dumbledore spoke.

Chloe glanced over at Apollo as he entered and stood next to Chloe. She remained silent not saying a word.

"Make up?! Dumbledore that's just not possible I can handle it on my own." Chloe moved her self angled more away from Apollo as he spoke.

Dumbledore seemed to stand there looking at Chloe. Chloe felt the wise headmaster's eyes on her as she looked up at him and sighed.

"I don't think it's possible, sir. I would love to help you with whatever, but I must get going." She said as she turned back around to leave.

"Tch, typical" Chloe had her back to Apollo and Dumbledore hearing his remark, she shoulders already hung low before heaving slightly as she felt tears roll to her eyes.

"Tell me Apollo why did you come then?" Dumbledore asked. Chloe stood at the door reaching out to grab the doorknob with shaking hand before pausing to find out what his response would be.

Hesitant to speak, he looked out the window. With a deep breath and a heavy sigh he looked back at dumbldore. " I...I came here as fast as i could because I heard she was in danger, That she confronted a werewolf and I wanted to make sure she was ok..."

Dumbledore was about to speak, until Chloe did, asking along the same lines of what he was about to ask.

"Why?" Her back still to the other two, her hands down to her side.

" Why else would I come. I don't want you to get hurt...why do you think I watch you when you walk to class, whenever you're on duty I sneak out at night to make sure nothing happens " Nodding over to dumbledore " Sorry sir" " I'm here...because I care about you." Chloe turned back around, her eyes red and face wet, but it was clear this was now something no longer new to her.

"I want to show you both something." Dumbledore spoke up as he walked over to a pensive and stuck his wand in it pulling it out he moved the wand around the room as the scene changed around them.

Various scenes of their lives played out around them.

The book store where they first met, Apollo knocking over the books as Chloe helped clean them up and silently placed the correct books back in order.

To the point of when April became a Ravenclaw and Chloe promised to watch out for April.

Then getting to know one another as Chloe escorted him back to his common room.

How both of them looked out for April to make sure she would be alright.

Apollo's accident at the first quidditch match of the year and going to make sure he was ok.

And the night together in the hospital.

Their first kiss.

Becoming an actual couple.

The match of Hufflepuff vests Ravenclaw resulting in what probably became the first tie in over 100 years.

The halloween ball.

And the spark was officially ignited

When Apollo and Chloe decided to start investigating the attacks and going on their first mission working together.

"You both had such wonderful moments together, your love and passion is unlike anything I've ever seen. I often found myself jealous. But love I learned can turn sour quickly." Dumbledore grew quiet as Apollo and Chloe looked around at all the scenes.

"I don't often talk about my past, but for you two, I need to for I don't want what happened in my own love life to happen to you two."

Dumbledore stated as the room got darker, he thinking back to his own past, of course he's blocked it out from nobody to see it. So much though he saw the same thing in Apollo and Chloe as he did in Grindlewald and himself. A single tear rolled down Dumbledore's cheek.

The room started become darker.

"You're starting to go down a path that you two should not be on. I blame myself for not stepping in sooner."

Chloe and Apollo heard a howl and looked around as the start of everything began. Chloe looked as a werewolf stood in front of her and the scene began from when Apollo came to rescue her.

"You both started to descend down a dark path. Chloe, you don't remember this scene, very well, Apollo noted this when you woke up. It's because I took it from you, I tried to take it from Apollo as well, but I was unable to as this changed Apollo too much, it became apart of him." Chloe's heart was pounding watching the scene.

"But Apollo, this scene is when you started down a dark path. I hoped Chloe's light would save you, but apparently it hasn't been enough."

The room was immediately darker as scenes started to play out.

The descent Apollo went into darkness.

And the two paths they both were on starting to become opposing forces.

Apollo starting to become dark and forceful with Chloe all because of his worry about her.

They're breakup.

The light from Chloe as it slowly started to go out.

The darkness suddenly was closing in on both Apollo and Chloe as they backed up quickly their backs up against each other, eyes wide.

"This is what you both have become."

"Chloe when you rescued that student, I saw the light was still in you, you must bring it back out, Apollo, you must use Chloe's light, just as much as she is still latched on to your dying light, in order to become who you both are supposed to become." Dumbledore spoke, he stood so far away to them as both of them stood in darkness back to back.

Where Dumbledore stood was a small light.

"Recreate this, recreate this light..." A scene of another memory played out behind him.

" It sure is dark out better hope no creepy crawly's get us" Apollo joked walking alongside Chloe It was a pretty chilly night but very quiet around the grounds. " Seriously though if i see one of those things BOOM i got a new spell i've been just itching to try

" Oh yea?"

" Mmmhmm i've been working on it in secret, but i haven't had a chance to use it considering it's a pretty big spell and i'd get in trouble if i used it on a student."

They conversed for a long time laughing and poking fun, there were no werewolves out and not a single soul along the grounds. They found themselves so lost in each other that they were at the quidditch field. " It's a big chilly out tonight, follow me you can wear my cloak back to the rooms. " He said as he tugged Chloe along to the Hufflepuff locker room. dropping a piece of chocolate out of his pocket at the door

" Apollo wait a minute we shouldn't be here"

" Pah! says who? i'm captain of this team so technically it's my room"

She sat down next to him while he went through his locker pulling out a jacket that had his name on the back of it. " Well this is better" he mumbled as he tugged it out of the locker falling back onto his rear.

With clothes all over his body Chloe began to laugh uncontrollably. " Oh ha ha very funny" He said as he tossed the clothes off of him.

" Oh so you think it's funny huh!" he began to tickle her and they bough laughed until they fell off the bench onto the ground. Apollo was pressed on top of her and she looked back at him. There was a brief silence till he spoke.

" Hey um..Chloe"

" Y...yea"

" Well...it's cold out so...i was wondering if it was..oh forget it."

before she could respond he kissed her. But this time it was somehow...different it was stronger. She placed her hands on his face as he pulled away, gently pushing her lips onto his. Running his hands through her long hair with every free breath he could speak he'd mumbled out the words " I love you so much"

She'd respond in kind when her lips were not interlocked onto his. The pressure was building when suddenly he took his hand sliding it down her pants slowly. she let out a small gasp

" Did i hurt you?"

" No, just...your hands are cold"

He smiled and began to massage her lower part while continuing to passionately kiss her neck. Her moans were rising little by little as he began to insert fingers inside of her. " I want you...now'" he whispered into her ear. He pulled up a bit and unbuckled his belt and took off his shirt. Exposing his bare chest, his well toned abdomen seemed to almost glisten as the moonlight shone through one of the locker room panel windows. " Are you ready...?"

She nodded and he undid her pants as well sliding them just far enough and he did the same to himself. " I love you so much..." She could feel the warmth of his lower part inching into her slowly. Until they were one. They continued to moan in unison until the door creaked open. Quickly pullng up and sliding his pants him he pulled out his wand. " Who is it!

A small little bunny rabbit chewing on the candy he dropped was at the door. then it scampered away quickly.

Looking down at her he laughed and rubbed his head. They both looked pretty silly and began laughing at each other uncontrollably.

" I love you Chloe"

" I love you too"

It was their light in the distance, it wasn't from Dumbledore, it was their light.

"Do it now!"

"Expecto-"
"Patronum!"

Both Apollo and Chloe exclaimed raising their wands up as light came from the tip of it and out came two dancing wolves.

The light from their patronus lit the entire space. The darkness flew backwards.

Dumbledore stood their and looked away from the light as he stood blinded by it.

As the light ended they stood back in Dumbledore's office. Chloe stood embraced in Apollo's arms.

"I'm so sorry... Chloe..."

 

A week had passed, things were starting to get better with Apollo and Chloe. Apollo's light was starting to come back. Other students started to take notice as well as Apollo began opening up.

Chloe it was still taking her a little longer, still having a low burning light, it was still hard for her to see past the way Apollo treated her in his dark time.

" Hey Chloe let's go practice a bit i'd like to show you some spells i've been working on and i think it would benefit us to have some spells we can cast in unison as well as combos."

Chloe was walking along reading from a book with Apollo walking alongside her. He's been trying so hard to help her ignite her inner light to be brighter like it used to, he promised Professor Dumbledore.

Chloe closed the book looking at him, "Eh the bad thing is we can't practice these spells in front of others they are far too dangerous..hmmm"

He went on rambling as he tried to think of a place to practice. With the werewolf attacks, students were now restricted to stay inside the castle, if they left the castle they were escorted by a prefect who had to let a professor know first the purpose of leaving.

Apollo stopped walking leaning against the wall. She stopped walking looking at him.

"There's always-" Chloe was about to suggest using the Maurader's Map, until the wall shifted behind Apollo.

" What the hell is....." Chloe stood back as Apollo also jumped back looking at the door appearing.

Chloe was in shock as the door opened.

"Apollo..."

" Wow! what is this place!' The two walked into the room as the door closed behind them, the two of them looking around.

"This is the room of requirement." Chloe stated, "The room is setup to create whatever the user needs. In this case, what we need." Chloe explained looking around the room. Observing the bookshelf lined with books on Defense Against the Dark Arts, Magical Creatures, Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, and more. And they weren't the standard text books. She looked around the room.

"It's, like..." Chloe didn't know what to think, it was a club house, a secret base, it had practice dummies, potion station, books, as well as it seemed a place to rest. It was like a common room, dueling room, classroom, and library thrown into one little room.

Chloe walked over to a mirror standing in front of it as she looked inside it and saw Apollo and her sharing a kiss, they were glowing. She stepped away looking over at Apollo.

"I wonder if Dumbledore sent this room to us..." Chloe whispered to herself looking over at Apollo who was looking all around.

"So should we get started?"

Chloe smiled at him nodding. She fell back on the oversize couch as well.

"We've been in here all day, it's a Saturday, I doubt nobody noticed we were missing, but, literally we've been here all day, it's past curfew even."

Apollo looked back at her looking out the window standing up shocked as the night sky sparkled with stars outside.

"You're not on duty tonight are you?" Apollo asked.

"No, but they'll wonder where I'm at." Apollo smiled shaking his head as he ran over to a table and scribbled down a note he ran over to the window pushing it open as the note turned into a flock of birds.

"Not anymore. I just sent it to the Ravenclaw prefects and the Hufflepuff prefects telling them we're safe." Apollo stated Chloe looking at him confused.

"Well, I mean I could tell them when I get back to Ravenclaw Tower." Chloe said as Apollo stood up and walked over to the fireplace pulling out his wand he cast a fire on it as a fire lit within.

"You don't have to go back you know." Chloe looked at Apollo shocked, "When was the last time we spent a night out together?" Chloe shook her head unsure when the last time was. "Please."

Chloe looked at Apollo sighing and smiling at him, "Fine." Apollo smiled even brighter sitting down next to her on the couch and pulling her tight into a side hug.

Chloe stared into the fire as it flickered lively, Apollo though was busy staring at her. She slid off the couch and crawled over to the fire poking with her wand to keep the fire going all night. She sighed pulling her shoes off and setting them down next to the stone ledge of the fire place. She watched as a yellow tie fell off next to her.

"Figured getting comfortable for the night, right?" Chloe looked up at Apollo as he took his shoes off next.

"Apollo?"

"Hmmm?"

"Listen, that moment back in Dumbledore's office, last week..." Chloe grew silent as Apollo sighed.

"You were right." Chloe looked at him shocked leaning his arm up against the fireplace mantle looking into the flickering flames.

"I wasn't Apollo, I tried so hard to kill Apollo. I wanted to be stronger than Apollo, the only way I thought I could was becoming tougher, stronger, colder. I know now, that wasn't the case. I'm trying to go back to who I was, the Apollo who was carefree and didn't care about anything, but honestly, Chloe, I can't, but I'm not who I was, I'm not trying to be that dark being I was unknowingly trying to become." Apollo stated.

"You're yourself now, though." Chloe spoke aloud. She reached up pulling her own tie off and laying it down on top of his Hufflepuff tie.

"I guess so."

"Thank you."

"Huh?" Chloe looked up at him smiling.

"You and I both have changed. I think where we're heading now though is the right path." Chloe said standing up and setting her wand on the mantle as she turned and looked at Apollo.

"I'm sorry for hurting you..." Apollo apologized smiling. She leaned up on her toes kissing him.

"I forgive you." She said breaking the kiss. Apollo smiled at her and wrapped his arms around her pulling her closer to him.

"Say," Chloe spoke looking at the fire.

"Even with the fire, it's a bit cold in here." Chloe said. Apollo looked at her confused.

"I was wondering if, we maybe tried to warm up a bit." Chloe said to him. Apollo looked at her confused until his eyes widened.

"You want to build a fire?" Apollo asked.

"A fire? I want to travel to the tropics." Apollo smiled at he kissed her passionately as the two fell to the floor losing balance. Apollo laid on top of her. Both of them giggled at each other's klutzy nature as they laid on the plush rug.

"I've been cold for so long, I'd be happy to do so." Apollo told her smiling down at her.
