Will turned back to Hope. "What do you mean Sariah was taken?" Will asked.

 

"Well," Tom said, trying to stall, "It's kinda hard to talk about it. Basically, it is somebody important. He's been trying to get to me, but I've been running. Sooner or later though, he's gonna find me. And I've been thinking that it would be best for that to happen if and when the President dies."

Will shook his head. "I can afford to die, you can't." Will said to Tom. "I'll kill him."

"Yeah, he knows me," Tom sighed, "But he doesn't want to kill me. He just wants to talk to me."

 

Will sighed. "Angel can't lose you Tom, she loves you." Will said.

 

"He won't kill me," Tom told Will, "It's..... Complicated."

 

"I doubt that someone in the government won't kill us, they have been after us for months." Will said.

 

"Well, he's.... He's...." Tom's voice then got really quiet, "He's the Vice-President and my dad."

 

Will's jaw dropped. "Wow, there's a shocker." He said, returning to his burgers and stew.

 

"Yeah," Tom muttered, "That's why I've been avoiding him... But I have to face my fears eventually."

 

Will nodded. "Yeah, we do." He muttered, finishing his now cold stew.

 

"Yeah... He won't," Tom answered, "He just wants to talk to me. But I don't know if I can talk to him."
