"Welcome, mage" Howl said. "I'm sure you'll do just fine. And for our enemies: They will all burn in hellfire in the end.. for Ayana's patience has ended." Howl sat on the chair.
"Look, i know most of you here today don't trust me. I can sense the hesitation and disgust in your hearts. As for the secrecy of this location, don't worry. You're not the only ones working for me.
And just the fact that i let you all into the game, doesn't mean you're under my command just yet."...

Game? Since when was this a game? A game that involves the lives of many shouldn't be played by someone so young. Now that guy with the sword up there, he could play this. Trying to keep the disgust out of his face and aura, he addressed howl once more. "I'm glad to hear it. I'm qualified to train other mages, so if you find someone with the talent please do send them to me. In the time we have i doubt i could fully train them, but just a little power would be better than nothing." And it will give me some loyal followers to. With that, he sat down in a nearby seat and sat back in his seat. While Howl might not be so good at this sort of game, Zendo was very good at chess. Playing these fools would be incredibly easy. Let Howl have his rebellion. Zendo had been imprisoned for almost ten years now. He new patience, and he could wait until the last vikings head rolled in the dust. After that, Howl wouldn't live for long. Zendo would soon lead the land, and he would usher in a age of knowledge, and declare war on the remaining viking provinces. He wouldn't rest until every last one of their kind was either destroyed, or converted to his people.

"That's good to hear" Howl continued. "We could use some extra" he said smiling.
Is he faking it or is he being honest.. Howl thought to himself.
I can't tell. Weither he is playing this well or he's just incredibly focused, doesn't matter. I have to keep an eye on him either way.
"If you'll excuse me now, i have other business to attend to." he said. "For those convinced of my trust, meet me at the dire woods tommorow. One of my men will hand you a ticket, telling at what time you will arrive and at what safe location. Your times will be different so don't go looking for people. I will see those of you tommorow..." he said and left in the cousine of the stage. He briefly walked back said: "Oh, and don't be suprised when you walk out..."

When we walk out? the blond girl thought to herself. What does that have to mean? Mmm, i better show up to see what he has in mind with them next.. This man.. he is different then the rest. He confuses me.
She walked towards the door and received a ticket from the bold man standing at the door.
    It only said:

    Dire woods
    10:45
    49|12

Assuming that the last digits should mean the location's, she walked out the door. She shrugged and looked around her with awe.
"Whe-Where am i?" she asked and looked at surrounding signs. "The other side of town?! Of course...
He's sending everybody out to another part of the town, so that it won't look suspicious.."

    EtherealSummoner Lamentations 3:22-26

A girl started to walk around town in Ayonna, coming from a dark alleyway with baskets of flowers. She started to see some people started to be weary of the snow as she was walking down the streets. "I feel so terrible of disappearing like that. I need to make sure that the viking army don't find me no matter what. There are no priests or priestess that can soothe the people's griefs." She started to walk up to two kids playing in the snow, not worrying about the cold air. She started to smile as she walked up to them. "Hey there. Would you like to come with me?" She gave both of them flowers for free as they started to walk west...

Zendo walked outside after receiving his card. "What the? A transportation spell? Why didn't i feel the magic vibrations when this was casted?" He looked around the streets, finding himself to be near his shop. "That guy. I wonder what he has planned for his silly little revolution." He looked at the card, making sure he had the time and location memorized. Then he held it up, and it burst into flames. He let it fall and started walking to his store. Behind him, it fluttered to the ground, and soon became nothing but ash.

When he arrived, he found his dopple ganger still in his bed. He made it get up, and looked at it for a minute. "Hmm." Then he lifted his hand, and made a waving motion. It burst into water particles that merged with the air. He changed into his sleeping robe, then got into bed. He looked at his right hand, and saw a mark start to appear. It grew until a circle was visible. This one had a solitary eye at its center, half closed. "Looks like the time before this mark releases itself is starting to run out." He muttered. He concentrated, making it fade away. "Those vikings. Inflicting such a terrible curse on me. They will soon pay dearly." With that, he fell asleep.

    EtherealSummoner Lamentations 3:22-26

The girl started to go into a abandoned church in ruins as she started to walk in with the two kids. Inside, the place is in ruins but flowers are everywhere in pots, in the ground and on the walls. Candles were also lit up along with the incense to remove negative energy. "This place... it's so calm. Will you help me water them?" The two kids nodded as they went off to help her. "Ambrosia... how I wish I could have seen this sooner..." She started to close her eyes as she was remembering when she had to run away from the army several times as they attempted to kidnap her. "Um... will you stay here for a little while. There's food in the back if you get hungry. I'm going out to sell some more flowers." The children started to smile and went to one of the flowerbeds while the girl started to leave out of the church. "I might as well head out to the woods to find some more seeds. "I need to keep everyone through this harsh weather without letting them know that I'm SummonerAshia. Otherwise, I have to end up running away to a different town." She started to walk north towards the dire woods...

((OOC--I'm going to be gone over the weekend, so I'll probably fall behind. I'll just read and catch up when I get back. In other words, don't interact with my character unless you want to be stunted until I get back. Just a heads up!))

Ryosuke took the ticket from the man, and left quickly after the mage. The moment he opened the door, he was in a vacant lot. He turned to find a solid wall.

No door. It seems I've been teleported. Impressive magic indeed.

"Now I am very impressed. I most assuredly did not expect this...

Very rearely do you expect anything old man.

Turning to the open lot, its was pretty small. There were empty bottles along the stone walls, which separated the lot from the buildings around it. Near the center, there was a small tree.

"Doesn't mean I'm wrong whenI do expect something. Remember those bandits that--"

Yes, I remember the bandits. Hard to forget witnessing the one thing I despise most.

"So, what are you going to do? Are you going to lay down your mat and sleep here? Like you usually do?

That's what I was intending, yes. Complaining are we?

Well, yes. I for one would like rest upon a soft bed for once."

You're a sword. Since when do you complain about where you sleep?

"Since I had a voice to complain with. It happens to be very uncomfortable, even when I'm sheathed..."

Ryo rolled his eyes as he layed a mat down under the tree. Looking up at the sky, there were few clouds overhead. Even so, he wanted to be protected from the elements at least a little bit.

Well, in that case, I guess you can lay on soft grass for a change.

He set the old sword down next to him as he layed down on his cloth mat.

    "So, he's considerate after all."

Ryo ignored his last comment as he drifted off to sleep.

    >Mind if i speed my character up a bit to morning? If not i will edit.<

Zendo woke himself with the dawn, moments before his viking guard went to wake him. "Don't bother, I'm up." Zendo said to the guard. The guard nodded, then walked back out into the opening of the shop. Aside from being his keeper, the mas was also his assistant. While Zendo began going through his morning rituals, the guard had begun cleaning up the shop for opening. "I supposed that when their heads roll, this one can stay as my helper." He said. He always felt better with the dawn. He splashed some water on his face to get the rest of the sleep out of him. He looked at the mirror, and saw a shadowy figure behind him.

The figure seemed to breathe out a pale yellow smog, and was shrouded in a torn up black robe. In its hand was a large scythe. He looked down at his hand, to see the eye back again. This time it was more open than before. "Well, so it looks like this thing finally got there attention." He mused, then looked back into the mirror. He didn't bother looking behind him, because his auroric eye would never pick this one out. But a mirrors true nature was to reflect anything and everything that existed within its vision. Nothing could stop this, no matter what. Thus, even those in the realm of the dead were no human could see them, appeared in the mirror. "My time is not yet up. The sands of time that spill away my life have not run out. Leave me." The figure whispered to him in a sibilant voice. "You know very well why I have come." Zendo stared at his hand for a moment. "I hadn't fully realized the curse marks power, but i could probably take a guess." "Allow me to give you the grace of telling you how that mark you bear works." Zendo almost smiled. "How kind of you." He said, then sat in the chair before his mirror. The creature moved closer. If Zendo reach over his back, he would be able to feel the chill that this creature created in the living world. "When the curse marks eye is fully open, your power will be turned against you. You will fall with the blood fever, your very body attacking itself. You will endure a week of terrible pain and agony, and then..." The figure touched his shoulder with a gray, scaly hand. "You will feel the bite of my scythe, as it rips your soul from your body. The eye is nearly open, and then you will face your judgement. Only when it opens can you face down this threat. That is all i will impart to you. Remember, that in three days the eye will be open. Three days." It shrank into itself, and vanished.

Zendo got up, and changed into his normal, every day robes. "So." He whispered, trying to keep the fear from his voice. "The Halja call." He shook himself, trying to get a grip. Of course he was scared. Any man would have been scared after talking to the messengers of death. Soon, he knew, it would return again to usher him into hell. Gods he didn't believe in, but he wasn't foolish enough to say that the Halja didn't exist after having encountered several of the creatures. If he remembered right, he had destroyed one that had tried to take him early a few years back. No doubt it didn't have any fond memories of him. Was this the same one? Maybe, but with them being all alike, it was nearly impossible to tell them apart.

Zendo walked out to the front of his shop, and settled himself behind the counter, tugging at the brown robes he wore. "Is something wrong?" The guard asked from his place near the at the opposite side of the room. "You look like you have seen a ghost." Zendo had to stop himself from laughing at how close the viking had come. "Something similar my friend." He said back, then continued with his work. This flunky hadn't a clue what his leader had done to him. "How about you Sha Rack? You don't look so good yourself." He replied. Indeed, Sha Rack looked a little green. "Something wrong?" "Not feeling so great to tell you the truth." He replied wearily. After some thought, Zendo said, "Take the day off. I'm not about to run. So far, I have all I need here." After a moment, the Viking said, "My thanks, Zendo." He got up, and headed back to his room. I've no reason to run, yet.

Too early. It was way too early in the morning for him to be up. But he had to be up. He knew people outside the rebellious group he secreted. If he started acting outside the normal of his routine it would draw eyes and unwanted attention. Something he couldn't have. Something he wouldn't have.

The ending of the meeting was odd. The last message Howl had left, while cryptic, made completely no sense. When he exited the men standing at the entrance hadn't handed him a paper. It was as if Howl knew he didn't want to be part of their rebellion. It was an eerie feeling Tettallin didn't like. What more when he stepped outside he was in the same alleyway he had entered through. It came as a surprise to him that there wasn't a flood of people. He half wondered if there had been magic behind it. Maybe a cloak over people or ... Well he wasn't entirely sure. His knowledge of magic was limited and he wouldn't ponder it for too long.

"Stop your sighing," Limier's voice stated suddenly. The gambler looked up to see his cohort standing before the tavern table they used. A friendly grin spread over his face. "That's the sign of a man with nothing to do, or too much on his mind." They both shared a brief chuckle as Limier took a seat. The serving girl stopped to ask if he would order, and he did. Some food for the day and a cold brew. When she left he turned back and leaned forward a bit. His friendly grin never leaving his face, making it look like two friends sitting and chatting about their lives, "So, you saw the lovers, right? How was the show?"

Tettallin rolled his eyes, "Horrible. The man talked a lot. Very theatrical with a lot of powerful words to swoon his loving lady. She seemed very, very moved. Even professed some of her own words of love. Quite droll, honestly. Barely any hiding - for Ambrosia sake! - they were practically in plain view!"

"What?" his friend suddenly asked urgently, "What do you mean?"

"Well, they were careful to bring guards and lookouts that I missed, but anyone walking by could have joined in." he shivered before continuing. "They were careful in meeting at first I assume because they left like the wind. They at least need some discipline."

The two of them conversed using specific words that hid the true meaning beneath their surface. The technique had proven near flawless. They had practiced it to make sure and found that if someone just jumped into eavesdropping, they'd get the 'right' idea and then people would have to cover themselves. It was a good thing they strongly practiced secrecy.

"Do you plan on ever helping them?"

The gambler shook his head slowly, "Wouldn't be worth my time. I do have my own love to look after, and besides if they're love falls, ours should prosper. Better to keep a clean nose."

The serving girl came back mid-discussion, so they paused to receive her. She stayed to chat a little. Gossiping about whatever she heard from merchants, guards, vikings. Anytime she mentioned vikings, Tettallin could see the fear in her eyes. The city was regressing toward more and more fear. If too many more revolts happen the people's spirit would break and they'd all give in. That dark thought was the only thing that made him hope Howl wasn't a fraud.

The weak light of dawn came through the windows of a dark room. There were ritualish trinkets all over the wall and ceiling, and chalk-drawn rituals drawn on the floor, probebly wizard's circles. The only things of common sense you could find in there were a bed and an enormous bookcase full of weird books and the kind.
A small brown-greyish feather floated in from the window. The moment it landed in the center of the wizard circle, the circle started to glow fiercely. A cloud of dark-blue magic surrounded the feather, and it started to grow. When the height of an average man, the fog dissapeared.
Howl walked out of the circle, and slowly lay on the bed. A woman came in.
"Hm. Another tiring night is suspect?" she said.
"Same old, some new recruits.. I have to be in the woods again in a few hours." Howl replied.
"... Howl, you'll kill yourself if you keep this up. This isn't healthy!" the woman became more aggresive.
"The Viking-reign isn't either!!" Howl shouted. A silence...
"Fine, but keep coming back.. i don't want to keep worrying about you." the girl said as the stepped further into the room. She looked young and wore a dress, that could be confused as a witches gown.
"I will, Abigail.. Of course i will. You're my sister after all." Howl said softly. "I have to go now, i'm sorry."
"It's allright.." Abigail replied. "Just keep yourself safe."
Howl sat in the window opening, and mumbled something. The smog appeared again, and Howl transformed into a brown bird. He flew out into the young morning sky.

I will... he thought to himself.

Delilah woke up in the cozy room of the inn she mostly slept in when she was "Away" from home. She slowly got out of bed and looked in the mirror. Her hair was all messed up as always. With a few strokes of her hand, it was back to normal again. She grabbed the ticket, the man at the meeting gave her, and stared at it for a while. Then she took a map from her hunting bag, to locate her meeting place. It was one Exact spot.
He's not kidding around... I better get going. she tought while she was getting dressed.

She tipped the owner, and walked out the inn, heading for the Dire woods.
The woods, they were dark. Not a place you would go to too pleasently. But whoever wanted to join, was surely determined enough to enter the wretched place.
It should be here somewhere.. she thought to herself while checking the coördinates and the map time and time again. She then saw something flicker between the snow and leaves. A tiny spark, just enough to attract someone's attention who was looking for something.
Delilah walked over, to see what it was. When she stopped to look, the ticket in her hands started to glow, and dark-blue smog surrounded her. What Th-

When the smog pulled away, and she was free to look again, Delilah could see she was in a dry Savanne with a lot of rocks. There were already some other people see saw at the meeting the other day, training their skills in combat, waiting for Howl to show up

Will sat on the edge of a bed in the inn, polishing his swords. He had the sheaths on his back and his shield strapped to them but his cloak was not on. He slid one sword into the sheath and started on the other one, running the cloth the length of the blade. "Why did he pick me? I am good at stealth but there are others... was it because I stepped up first?" He asked himself again, slipping the sword into the sheath. He then stood, grabbing the dark green cloak. "Time to go to Howl and get my first assignment." He muttered, fastening the buckle of his cloak.

Zendo knew that if he was to take part in the rebellion, he would have to make his escape now. "Now or never." He decided, before walking to Sha's room. "I am sorry my friend, but i must leave now." He said to him. Sha tried to move, but was to tired. "Why?" He asked. "Because, keeping me cooped up will be the death of me. There is a rebellion soon, so i must ask. Will you join me? You are no were near as bad as the rest of them." "You must think I'm stupid." He growled, before trying to grab his sword again. Zendo turned the blade into scrap metal with a word, before looking at his old charge. Finally, "Very well. I can see your mind is made up. Still, you were good to me over the years. Your death will not be painful." He lifted his hand, lightening playing around his fingers. "Farewell, old friend." Then, a bolt of power lanced from his finger tips, straight into Sha's heart. The Vikings eyes widened for but a second, before he died.
"So much for taking you with. Fine, i see how it is." Zendo grabbed his few belongings, then set out to the meeting point.

Ryo had awoken very early in the morning. Even though it was just before daybreak, he had overslept.
Upon waking, he checked his ticket for the coordinates, and made his way out of the city and into the Dire Woods.

"Ryosuke, this feels very wrong. There are several displacments around us. Like the forest itself is being torn apart."]

Ryo couldn't feel much more than the itch on his nose. "So," he whispered to himself. "A dimensional desplacement."

He took out the ticket. He was in the designated location.

What do you think we're--" He was cut off mid scentence as smoke surrounded him. The forest dissapeared as he felt himself become weightless. Like his stomach suddenly had wings. Then he felt himself hit the ground as the air rushed from his lungs.

    Faceplant. Lovely.

His face numb, he stood up to find himself in a large Savanna. Most of the people at Howl's meeting were there, sparring.

    Now things are getting interesting.

"I must say Ryosuke, I am profoundly curious about this Howl character."

You're never bored, are you old man?

"Not since meeting you my fine friend. Seeing as how you usually have rocks for brains, there's never a dull moment." He said, feining mockery.

Zendo had arrived at the clearing. He could feel a lot of pent up energy in this forest. "Well, that can't be good for the trees." After sitting for a minute, he decided to get the rift open himself. He called his staff, and stabbed it into the ground. He closed his eyes, and reached out into the forest, searching for the magic that was just waiting to be opened. After finding it, he tugged. At first nothing happened, but then he could feel the world around him becoming distorted. Everything blurred together, making it look like he was underwater. He didn't dare open his eyes, knowing just how distorted he would be. He might even get vertigo. After a few more seconds, everything began moving really fast while he was standing still. Another few seconds, and everything stopped.

Trying to shake the feeling that he was still moving at the speed of light, he opened his eyes and started walking towards a group of mages. "That was a very nice way to get from place to place. Hope that doesn't become common place." "Ya." One of them agreed.

Will sat on a rock in the training area, waiting for Howl to test him in combat. He was a great swordsman but he hadn't trained in days. He was getting slow. He started to roll his shoulders and rotate his arms. When he was good and stretched he drew his swords, spinning them slowly in his hands. Once he felt comfortable he started to swing them, slow wuide arcs at first but then quick, short jabs and slices.

She then found some Nemesia seeds and put them in her baskets...

Ryo walked around the group absent mindedly, noting the mistakes some were making. These people were nothing more than peasants. Simple men and women that knew nothing about fighting wars. There were nearly a hundred of them. Most likely some he'd accumulated elsewhere.

These people are going to be massacred. They can't even hold a weapon properly.

"They're simple people Ryosuke. Farmers. Tailors. They've lived their lives expecting peace under dominion. It shouldn't come as a surprise that they can't fight."

I just don't expect Howl can properly train these people. He's a mage I assume. He probably can't hold his own in battle either.

Ryo noticed a man next to a rock, swinging his swords childishly. He had an arrogant air about him. He had skill, but his obvious ego was a massive dhamper.

"Are you going to approach him. It could be an interesting match."

No, I'm not here to mingle. I'm here to find Soteria. I couldn't care less what happens to the chaff of this flock. Let them bleed for patriotism. I bleed for love.

"If you really expect to be able to find her alone, you have a lot more growing up to do than I thought. Spar with him. You'll probably win anyway. So what could you lose?"

Ryo sighed in frustration. If he didn't approach this stranger, Avalon would give him the headache of the century. Fine, he'd show the boy how real men fought. It'd pass the time. He approached, and spoke at a distance. Those swords were lethal, and in the hands of the inexperienced.

"Excuse me. I saw you, and noticed you're a bit more experienced than the peasants here. Care to spar?"

At the same time, a blue bird landed on the rocky surface of the savanna. Two people were going to spar, and the tension was all around. The bird turned it's head a bit and kept inspecting the two.

Zendo walked up to the guy with the odd sword. "Hello, i don't think we were properly introduced." Hello mister sword thing. "Odd how Howl asks us to show up here, but doesn't come here to greet us." He lazily dodged a sword that had flown away from a farmers sweaty hands. "Also odd how he doesn't have people here to train these farm folk into warriors." He dodged a carelessly fired arrow. "Or teach archery." He held up a hand to block an incoming fireball. "Or magic. Seriously, are we all insane to fight for this guy? If the vikings don't kill us, we'll off each other." Zendo sighed.
