From Dawn till Dusk

Hope blocked his attack and kicked him back. "You are a fool. You will never understand why darkness isn't the hearts biggest streingth. You will never understand good. Thats why I have to kill you."

 

Hope shot a beam of light at Xehanort at the same time that he shot darkness at her.

 

Hope nodded and allowed Riku's streingth to be added to hers. Their beam got more bright and more powerfull and both Xehanorts and the light beam hit Xehanort simultaniously. There was a loud explosion and Hope put her hand up to shield her eyes from the light.

 

Hope looked defeated though she and Riku had just won. She walked over to Xehanort slowly, the blade in her hand was shaking. Her hair blew slightly in the wind. She was breathing hard. "You killed my mother... you have tortured me for seventeen years..." a tear ran down her face, "You have killed everyone I loved.... You tried to kill Riku..." she shook her head, "Why cant I finish this!? Why cant I kill you!?" she dropped her sword.

 

Hope looked away and nodded.

 

Hope looked at Xehanort, "Compared to what you've done to us... this is mercy..." she said, though her voice didn't sound very sure. Though she hated him, even though he had tortured her and Riku for years... he was still the only father she had ever known. She hated seeing the sight of blood. She held out her hand to her sword and it flew back to her hand.

 

Hope shook her head, "I don't know..." she was crying because of Xehanort for the first time in years. It was shocking to her the reason she was crying because of him. She rememered many times of him killing her loved ones, or him hurting her. But those times weren't near as hard as now. She was confused and hurt and angry. "I'm not him... I cant kill out of anger. It will make me him."

 

Hope looked defeated and angry, "I'm not showing mercy... this is totally selfish. I don't want to be like him... so I can't kill out of anger."

 

(Ya, I'm not sure If I'm in on that one... sorry)

Hope sighed, "Ok..." she looked away, "Of all the times I've wanted to kill him... I can't make myself do it now."

 

Hope took one last look at Xehanort and then walked slowly through the portal.
