Hope sighed, "It appears we have a lot in common. At least your parents just plain didn't give you attention though, instead of following you around your whole life, deturmined to force you to be evil or kill everyone you love until you learn it." she said bitterly.

Kairi shook her head, "He's one of the strongest fighters I know. He can protect himself."

 

"I'm glad I met you now... I would rather it be late than never." Hope said, attemting to be optimistic for a change.

 

Hope smiled, "Yes... I do like you."

 

Hope sighed, "Please don't start that again... I told you, the closer we are the more in danger your life becomes."

 

Hope looked away, lying was easier when she didn't have to make eye contact, "No, I don't love you."

 

Hope hated herself for hurting him like that but it was the only way she knew she could save him. she changed the subject, "I'm not sure the king would like it if I were to eat his food. I'll just wait until later for now. I am the daughter of his mortal enemy after all."

 

Hope shook her head, "And I am his enemy staying in his home and I would rather not do anything to upset him."

 

Hope didn't want to start an argument so she gave up, "Ok... if you're sure."

 

Hope didn't know what to do... nobody had ever been this nice to her before. It was a little strange to her. She stared at the chair for a moment, hesitating before sitting down.

 

Hope nodded and did what he told her to. "Can I ask you something?"
