    Chapter 9, is that Barthandelus?

He's not to hard once you get the hang of it.

    Team:
    Lightning (COM/RAV/MED)
    Snow (SEN/RAV/COM)
    Sazh (SYN/RAV/COM)

Strategy: Lightning will be doing most of the fighting. Start the battle in COM/RAV/SYN so that Lightning and Snow can attack the side faces, while Sazh casts haste and other buffs. Once you are buffed, switch to MED/SEN/COM so that you can heal while snow draws the damage, and Sazh damages the faces. Once you are healed back up, switch to COM/COM/COM until you kill all the side faces. Once the faces are dead, switch between COM/RAV/RAV, RAV/RAV/RAV, and MED/COM/COM to do as much damage as possible, and he will go down.

I used Lightning, Snow and Vanille.

    Ligh ( Com / Rav / Med)
Snow (Com / Rav / Com)
Vanille (Med / Rav / Med)

Literally choose a side you want to begin with, dont go for the main part yet. Let lightning and snow work together on it while vanille constantly heals you guys. Just keep doing this till when damage gets really high switch lightning to a med too. And switch back to rav or com. Work your way till you get to the main part of the boss.

Lightning, Hope, and Fang are a good team because all 6 roles are available between them. If you're not doing enough damage, go and train some more. Max out a role or two, then fight Barthandelus. He'll be much easier then.

When I fought him, I used Lightning, Snow, and Sazh. I'd normally have Relentless Assault (Com/Rav/Rav), but also have something like Med/Sen/Syn. If you need to stagger one of his heads quickly, go Rav/Rav/Rav, then switch to Com/Com/Com to do a lot of damage.

Also if your damage is not enough try leveling up your weapons, make sure you have bravery cast on your people, and use as many commando roles as you can.

For leveling up your weapons as Zenrot has said, fight as many PSICOM and Guardian Corps soldiers as you can. They drop Credit Chips and Incentive Chips (I think. It is something like that). Sell those. And then buy the most expensive thing you can, as many of them as you can. To help quicken your weapon level gains, go to the Creature Comfort store and buy 36 Sturdy Bones. If you use all of those on a weapon, the weapon gets the Rank 3 Experience Boost, which gives it a 200% experience boost. It helps for leveling up. And once the weapons reach the star rank, use one of the items to upgrade it, then repeat the process.

As Zenrot and I have already said, use Lightning, Snow, and Sazh for your team. Begin the battle with Med/Sen/Syn or Com/Sen/Syn. Once everybody has all the good buffs on them, switch to either Com/Rav/Rav or Rav/Rav/Rav. Stagger a head, then go Com/Com/Com. When needed, do something like Med/Sen/Com or Med/Sen/Rav. If your two supporting members are down, summon.

Yeah, use Odin if your team starts getting beaten, but it should be a last resort. If you can do some good damage with Odin (about 10,000 or so minimum) you should be able to win no problem with a full health team again.

Ok I will try it, but I just suck at being medic. I cant heal my party members on time.

I finnaly beat it! What I did was used Lightning, Hope and Fang. I started by taking the puldrons and attelets out with diversity. Then when they were all gone I staggered with relentless asult, turning to bully to heal and cast debuffs and buffs. Then when Destrodo came I used combat clinic to heal really fast, then bring the stagger bar to 180 to make the attack lest effective with rellentlus assult.
The problem was that I needed to farm CP. I was really far behind because I skipped battles and barely got by in the game, and then it caught up to me.

    Srry for the double post.
