Digimon Generations : Rise Of The Deva Kings

A little bit of off topic never hurt an RP; sometimes it helps break the insanity of figuring out where the plot train is going.

I'm off to sleep now. Early class+30-45 minute commute and stuff. I'll begin pricing my character together between classes, since I've got long breaks.

 

I'll be making some serious headway on my character tonight.

Personality: A stoic philosophy of sorts has developed over her time in the Digital World, particularly in her travels through the Dark World. The extremes of emotion and expression are all but lost in her, quelled from the inside to keep them from flushing out. Make no mistake, she can be happy, frightened, and even sad; but she’s got it pretty well under control, and isn’t very quick to display it like an open book. Her gestures, expressions, and words give off a sense of nihilism and disinterest in the happenings of life. She claims to follow the courses of actions that are most rational and productive, rather than follow the path of what her emotions dictate. Necessity outweighs desire. Her display of emotion, or lack thereof, lends a distinctly cold disposition towards the emotions of others; she’ll turn a deaf ear towards the cries of enemies, and scold her comrades for being too over the top.

Biography: Born in Japan, her family moved to California in the US when Hoshi was about 5 years old, because her father’s business had transferred him to an international branch. She grew up moving between the cities in California. For a while she lived in San Francisco. Later, she would move with her family to Sacramento. Eventually, when Hoshi was ten, the family was able to settle down in the Los Angeles area. Between changing homes and changing schools, Hoshi learned that it was best to not get too wrapped up in her emotional ties with people. She forced herself to get over the ever-changing groups of friends as she moved, and learned to adjust to new environments and crowds.

She actually happened upon the Digital World by chance at age 15, while she was on a casual walk from her city limit bus stop back to her home on the outskirts. The phenomenon that was the Digital World sucked her in, and she was again forced to subdue her attachments to her home in favor of her new, interesting environment. She encountered many Digimon, most of them being either mere bothers, or potential menaces. At first, they had their way with frightening her, leaving her a tear-soaked child in a ditch somewhere. As time went, she realized that she couldn’t give them the satisfaction of knowing she was frightened of them, and began suppressing her fearful reactions to their advances.

As fate would have it, it was this aspect of her that led to her finding a Digimon partner. As she wandered into the less savory corners of the Digital World, she encountered a feline Digimon. The Digimon, like many of the others, tried to attack her for the sake of frightening her. But when she didn’t flinch or recoil, the Digimon was both puzzled and considerably impressed. The creature introduced itself as a BlackGatomon, and said that she could get to like someone like Hoshi. The two struck a steady but effective companionship, and ventured the Digital World together. They weathered several turbulent events, and witnessed the coming of the Digi-Destined that saved the world, and returned to merge it with the “Real World.”

Over her tenure in the Digital World, Hoshi became curious on how to return to her world as well. She had been in the Digital world for nearly four years when the Deva Kings began to take root; she had never found a way out as others before her had. Being comfortable within the Digital World, but harboring a need to return to the Real World somehow, she grew a sympathy and agreement with the idea of merging the two worlds. Thus, she and the BlackGatomon joined the ranks of the Deva Kings, so that the two worlds could unify.

(Note: I've simply listed what seems to be the most likely flow of Digivolutions (and regressions) that BlackGatomon would take. I doubt I'll use the Mega forms right away.
