Deja Vu: The New Organization

Jaxx shook her head, "I can't. The less you know the better." she said, "Besides I've handled it myself just fine without your help before now. I can keep doing it I just don't want you to get hurt because of me again." She pulled her hands back.

 

Jaxx smiled at Voltiar as he addressed her, she looked a little stressed out. She looked back at Hunter "I don't NEED to tell you anything." she said in a whisper so the others wouldn't hear. She studied his expression for a moment and then her eyes moved to the shadowed areas around them where she seemed to be looking for something. She looked back at Hunter "Ok... fine you win." she said "But not here and not now. It's way too conspicuous." she said even quieter than before.

 

Jaxx looked around and put her finger to her lips as a signal for silence. She closed her eyes and said something too quiet and incoherent to understand. There was a soft gasp around a nearby corner and then a black figure fell dead and dissapeared into darkness. She sighed and looked back at Hunter "F*** spies. You can't trust anyone these days." she said, not whispering anymore. she couldn't believe he convinced her to tell him everything when he was the one she wanted most to protect. "Ok..." she looked away not exactly sure where to begin to explain what was going on.

 

Jaxx glared and then started speaking "Ok. So about a year after you... you know..." she shrugged "I started teaching Elyon to take my powers as princess of heart and all that and then..." she forced herself to keep talking "...I fell for a stupid trick see these men showed up a maybe two years ago and asked to speak to me and being the over naive child I was I trusted their word that they weren't here to cause trouble. Everything was kind of in a downward spiral for us already anyway so I figured that I didn't have much to lose anyway. I followed them, none of them would remove their hoods so I could see their faces. Thats about the last thing I remember from that day. The next thing I knew I woke up somewhere that there was nothing and I'm not taking that lightly. There was absolutly nothing, no light or dark or sound." she grimaced, this being the first time she said everything outloud. Page had just read it from her memories, she didn't have to recount it all word for word then. "I didn't know how long I had been gone or what happened in the time I couldn't remember. The hooded people..." she said the word 'people' sarcasticly "were there too. They told me that they needed my help." she got lost in a memory somewhere in the middle of telling Hunter what happened. She remembered standing in the complete darkness and nothing, surrounded, scared, angry. Xancu was what the leader had called himself. Jaxx had asked what he needed her for and Xancu's responce was that he heard of the organization and the wise but naive girl who lead it. He had heard about it's success and it's downfall and Jaxx, getting impatiend had asked what that had to do with anything. Xancu had smirked
"He told me he wanted power... and he told me that I could give it to him. I knew what he wanted was selfish. He wanted the same thing Tom had wanted... to recreate the galaxy into one world and to control everything in it. He tried to convince me that it was for the better and that nobody ever dared to say no to him."
Jaxx had told him to go to hell and he did something unexpected.
"He has my brother's soul. Ryan's fate rests in the hands of that creature." she shivered "I told him to get lost. He told me to think it over and then next thing I knew I was back home. Nobody remembered the visit from the hooded people, It was like I never left at all. They came back about a month later and I told them that if they would let Ryan go I would do what they wanted..." she was pale "...I don't know what I've done. They aren't human or heartless or nobodies, they are like some sort of mutalated thing in between."

 

Jaxx glared "Hey, the deal was 'need to know' information. You don't need to know exactly what he wants me to do and frankly I'm trying to forget myself. It doesn't matter as long as I kill him before he can do something Ryan will regret, it doesn't even have to come up again." she sighed and changed the subject away from specifics "But if they know about you It'll be just annother Ryan situation. I told them you don't matter to me... I don't know how long they'll believe that. I watched you die because of me once and it was torture. I can't go through that again."

 

Jaxx watched Hunter leave and did nothing to stop him. She knew it was going to hurt to do what she just did but at least he knew the truth. Seeing the look on his face and the way he talked, she knew he was hurt or offended. That fact tore into her heart, she wanted to call him back but she didn't. She didn't know if he was listening or not "You know that isn't what I want.... its just what had to happen...." a tear appeared in the corner of her eye realizing she had become someone she never wanted to be. Was Page right about her theory? Was she becoming a nothing like Xan? She shook her head, not wanting to think about it. Besides if she was like a nothing, breaking up with Hunter wouldn't have made her feel anything but it was killing her right now. After she had spoken and Hunter had left, rain was beginning to form but she never saw it when she the messenger came and took her into the dark relm. She didn't look at him when he spoke, in fact she hadn't moved at all.

Jaxx had a solom look on her face, "Shut up." was all she said.

 

Jaxx glared, she had seen this one comming. Page wasn't effected by the nothing. Of course Xan would see her as a threat. She pulled out her katana (the one Hunter gave her). Jaxx didn't turn to face the messenger as she spoke "Well I'm a little sick of this game Xancu has pulled me into." She suddenly turned around and killed him with one quick slash. She continued speaking "Let THIS be your messege this time, Xancu. I've lost enough because of you. You tell Ryan I'm comming for him tomorrow. And Xancu, I'm bringing all hell with me." after the messenger died the darkness dissapeared and Jaxx was back in the ally. She had just threatened Xancu and he knew it was over. She would have to tell Page and Blake what happened. She couldn't do this alone.
'what about Hunter?' she didn't know why she just plain didn't want to talk to him. This was a lot worse than other arguments they had in the past. Because simply for the sake of her pride, Jaxx could not and would not go and apologise to him. All she did was want to keep him safe. It wasn't her fault he decided to be a jerk about it.
