Ok...but you can see the "Sora" card right?

Probably something to do with my internet cache that lets me see them...I'll upload them elsewhere, and edit that post so they show up.

EDIT: They're working now. I've also considered using the regular text background on those colour-changed ones. (It's pretty obvious I just did a hue/sat modifier thing). But at the same time, it might look ok this way.

Semantics are silly. Who cares if it's Chocobo's, keyblade's, mine, or the King of Siam's?

The goal was that we all contribute ideas, designs, descriptions, characters, images, all that jazz...and make one huge project.

If anything, I would say the project is KH-3.NET's project...no single person should lay claim to everyone else's work.

Here is my suggested order of production:

    1) Plan out the rules
    2) If people feel the rules are too complicated, make them simpler! Something Triple Triad-esque is perfect in my opinion, but of course opinions differ. Remember, everyone is doing this for fun, so we can't always do everything perfectly and consistently.
    3) Design/Choose a card template that adequately portrays the rules (ie. should cards display HP? MP? Etc.)
    4) Select a graphical template...but SELECT one, it is of utmost importance that you put your foot down and pick one...that follows #3.
5 & 6) Once the above is complete, begin designing cards, character descriptions, stats, etc....and then make the cards!
    7) Have patience with other people...they all share your goal of a KH TCG.

The reason there is so much confusion is because people are jumping right to 5 & 6 (myself included...but to be fair, I only did so because of the other topic about templates). Lay an appropriate foundation, and there will be much to talk about in regards to actually designing cards.

One suggestion I'll make, since I withdrew my templates, is that psychology (and math) have shown that human beings like symmetry**. Put the time and effort in to line up your boxes properly, and the rewards will be great...after all, you only have to make a template once.

**For instance, they have done scientific studies involving 'attractive' men, such as hollywood celebrities, and have found that their qualitative attribute of 'attractive' is correlated to a high level of facial symmetry. (That is, if you cut a line down the middle, and flipped one half onto the other, it looked almost identical to the actual person)

Don't give up on cards! I worked so hard on this one!
    What do you think!::
I was thinking maybe this can be the template because to be honest, the template is just too plain. The template background is too blue. and the images and lines.... i wouldn't want to talk about it.

There might be a problem in that you probably need to use photoshop, or some other editor with 'layers' to keep the artistic detail intact...making a template for something like that would be fairly tough...but if everyone is fluent in photoshop (at least how to 'layer' things), then it shouldn't be so bad.

This brings up a point I was thinking about earlier...perhaps one person should 'finalize' the cards, after everyone contributes....ie. so the alignment is the same, and the proper (ie. 'the same') technique is used on all the cards.

EDIT: IF you run into problems...I'll repost my template. I prefer yours though zzic, it's more artsy. But the beauty part of mine is it's done entirely in MSPaint, so it's easier to incorporate a group effort.

For the record, we will NOT be using mine, unless perhaps zzic has difficulties making a template...so nobody get all confused. I'll just re-post them so they're here if anyone needs them:

So why don't you post the card info and then i'll make it.
    e.g.
    Card Name: Sora
    HP: #
    MP: #
    ATK: #
    DEF:#
    descrption: #
    other: (optional)

    Sorry for double posting!
I can make a template. But the problem is I also need to make a tutorial on photoshop because there are more than one pictures of the character in the card. For example...
If you look at the Riku card, you can see Riku in the box with his face, then Riku it the background with an orange back. I personaly think that if you people are going to add stuff to the template, they should either learn of the tutorial which i'm going to make or only let people who are good at using photoshop make it.

Do you know what I mean?

Yep, that was exactly my point. It's slightly technical (not much, but slightly), and unless everyone involved owns photoshop and is at least moderately fluent, it'd be a bit tough.

But as you said, you can make all the cards...I was just under the impression that this was something we could do as a group effort, where several people submit several cards of differing levels of quality even. You know, for pure enjoyment as opposed to a rigorous design process.

I also want a group effort in this but I can't think of any way that we can all make a card which only a few of us can make.
    *Thinking*............

Well, keep thinking...we've got a few options here:

    1) You (and only some other skilled photoshoppers) can make the cards
    2) Some other alternative, like maybe making yours slightly simpler
    3) Changing the template entirely

In the event of a #3, I posted mine for the simple reason that it's ridiculously simple to make (I'll admit, the 'colour changes' are kind of fugly, but I gave up with them before I got them right). I'd supply 2 images, and the creators would find the third, representing their character. Like I was saying earlier, it's all "MSPaint-able" (hence why they're kind of rough around the edges). You'd just open the 'background' file, paste on their character, paste on my 'foreground' file, and then write text.

Whenever you get into transparencies it gets kind of tough to recreate...I hope it doesn't come to a #3 as I really do like your design better (aesthetically), but it's there if anyone wants to mess around with them.
