Crimson Gaurdian - Final Fantasy VII

Chapter 10 - Diagnosis of the Planet

The heros arrived at Cosmos Canyon, they were greeted by Bugenhagen, Red XIII's grandpa. "Ho Ho, so the heros are on another quest and seek the guidance of an old man like me." Bugehagen joked. Red XIII nodded and said, "Grandpa, can you tell us what is wrong with the planet?" Before Bugenhagen could answer, Vincent landed and joined the group. Bugenhagen nodded and said, "Follow me and we'll see what ales the planet." The group were lead into Bugenhagen's house, but were shocked to see two robbers stealing his equipment. "Hey you, get back here." Bugenhagen ordered as the two robbers jumped from the window onto a small air carrier. Genesis clenched his fist and said, "Don't worry. We'll get your stuff back for you." Bugenhagen nodded and said, "You better or else I can't tell what is wrong with the planet." Genesis and the others left and boarded the highwind so they could look for the air carrier.

Cid spotted the air carrier and swooped the highwind infront of it. Genesis, Cloud, and Vincent jumped onto the carrier. three robbers confronted them, but our heros easily took them out. Then Genesis ran into the air carrier and fought more gaurds. When he arrived at the lowest floor of the air carrier he found that the door was locked and needed to be opened by a card key. Genesis ran searched through the entire carrier and found a hidden chamber. When he entered it, he encountered a Giant Tank.

Genesis deafeted the robot and obtained the key card.

They proceeded to the lock door and when they opened it, they encountered an old foe, Don Corneo. Don Corneo looked nervous, "Oh no, not you punks again." Don Corneo said. Cloud smirked and said, "So your still alive and still cheating through life, huh? Stealing from a defensless old man, thats shamefull. We'll put you out of misery Don Corneo." Don Corneo was mad, "No way, those parts I stoll could make me a fortune." Don Corneo said. "Why you already have tons of cash?" Cloud asked. Don Corneo laughed and said, "You can never have too much money. HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa!!!!!!!!"

Don Carneo backed away toward the window and accidently fell out of it. This time to his true death.

The heros gathered Bugenhagen's stuff and headed back to Cosmos Canyon. With his stuff returned, Bugenhagen started investigating the planet. An hour later he walked out to the heros and said, "It appears the will of the lifestream is being strangled by someone else's will. This is causing the planet great pain." Cloud looked shocked, "Do you know who's will is strangling the planet?" Bugenhagen shook his head and said, "No, but it's someone very powerfull." Genesis looked sad, "So Minerva is being hurt by someone else's will." He said. Bugenhagen nodded and said, "That is correct." Cloud stood up said, "Thanks Bugenhagen, we'll save the planet." Bugenhagen nodded and said, "The life stream is being concentrated in Mideel for some reason. perhaps there you will find more answers." The heros boarded the Highwind, their next stop was Mideel.

Well the only important and interesting thing is that chapter is that we discovered that Minerva's will is being over powered by someone else's and this is causing her and the planet great pain. But who's will is overpowering Minerva? Get ready for chapter 11, it will be the most shocking yet.

Chapter 11 - The Goddess:

Genesis and the others soon arrived in Mideel. They exited the ship and looked around. Genesis could feel Minerva was close by, but he also sensed a more sinister presence. Cloud walked upto Genesis and said, "So what do you think?" Genesis looked at Cloud and replied, "We need to head north." The group of heros headed north toward the ruins of the town, when the arrived they saw the life stream was active here. It glowed a shining green, it warm energy was radient in the area.

Genesis looked into the river of life and saw a woman rise from the depths. When she got closer to the surface he realised it was the divine maiden from his visions, the goddess of the planet, the one he had met several years ago, Minerva. He quickly helped her out of the life stream and made sure she was alright. She appeared stable but she had lost the heavenly glow that had surounded her before. The goddess had obviously been injured, bruises and cuts all over he clean body. Her neck had evidence that she had been choked.

Genesis allowed her to rest. Barret meanwhile commented, "Damn, now women popping up out of rivers. The hell is going on?" Cloud then asked, "So this is the goddess of the planet, Minerva?" Genesis shook his head, yes. Suddenly a voice was heard saying, "Well the goddess has finaly appeared." Cloud and the others looked behind them to see two old enemies from the past, two of Sephiroth's remnants, Loz and Yazoo. Yazoo smirked and said, "We will be taking the Goddess, if you don't mind."

Tifa looked angry, she then asked, "Just how are you two still living?" Yazoo replied, "Now Now, we would'nt want to spoil the fun. Would we little girl?" Tifa got angry and charged at the two. However Loz simply knocked her back. Next Cloud attacked but Yazoo moved and shot his leg sending Cloud back to the ground. Genesis looked at the group and said, "Take Minerva and prepare the ship. I'll hold off these two." Barret nodded and picked Minerva up and the others ran toward the ship. Loz smirked and said, "Well then, this should be fun."

While the two we're weakened, Genesis escaped.

Genesis ran through the Mideel jungle, heading toward the ship. However Genesis was interuppted by another S-monster.

Genesis defeated the monster, but he sensed that Loz and Yazoo were not to far behind. He hurried to the ship, although he was tired he continued to run. He jumped onto the ship just as Loz and Yazoo arrived. The ship took off and flew away. Yazoo looked angry, he pulled a cellphone from his pocket and said, "They have the goddess."

Genesis walked into the medical room and sat by Minerva. He held her hand as she rest in her soft bed, "I'm so sorry that you were hurt." He whispered. At this moment, a mortal developed love for a goddess. Cloud was in the control room of the ship, he looked at Tifa and said, "Loz and Yazoo were the strangers that summoned the ifrit in Midgar, the ones at Rocket city, and the ones that have been spying on us. What are the planning?" Tifa sighed and said, "Obviously they want Minerva, but for what?"

So Minerva has left the life stream and is now recorvering. Who is the strange man that Yazoo contacted on his cellphone? What do Loz and Yazoo plan to do with Minerva? How did the two remnants survive the explosion in Advent Children? And Genesis is developing feelings for the goddess Minerva.

These questions and more will soon be answered, but how will Genesis's feelings affect the outcome of this situation?

Prepare for chapter 12.

 

Chapter 12 - Formulating a Plan:

Cloud and the others were in the bridge while Genesis sat by Minerva's side in the medical room. Cloud spoke up first, "So, somehow Loz and Yazoo survived the explosion, but how. I saw them fade into the lifestream." Vincent the spoke, "They could'nt have possibly survived unless someone helped them." Cloud looked a little surprised, "So you think someone is aiding them?" He asked Vincent. Vincent replied, "Perhaps, it's possible." Tifa then spoke up, "Then that will make things alot more complicated."

"So what are they trying to acheive by using this goddess lady?" Cid asked. Cloud replied, "Don't know. But we better find out soon before they attack us again." Vincent brought up an idea, "The WRO wants us to meet them at their headquaters." Genesis walked in and said, "I have a better idea. We should seek out the aid of the Tvseist." Vincent shook his head and said, "No, their dead." Weiss laughed a little and said, "You should listen to Genesis, we Tvsiest share cells with Genesis. So he would know if their dead or not. Besides the other Tvsiest are loyal to me, they wont harm you if I command them not too." Cloud looked at Weiss and said, "How do we know we can trust you? You already tried to kill us once before." Weiss replied, "I was under the control of Hojo, and besides if I was your enemy I would have already attacked you." Cloud knew he had a point.

Genesis looked at the group, "We must let go of the past and ban together to stop Loz and Yazoo. For Minerva's sake.....please." Cloud nodded and said, "So where should we look for a Tvsiest?" Genesis answered, "Let's head to Modoiheim, we should find Azul the Cereluen." Genesis then returned to the medical room, Minerva's well being on his mind. Weiss left the bridge and headed deep into the ship to relaxe. Cidd set course for Modoiheim.

Not a very exciting chapter but now you kinda know where the story is heading.

Chapter 13 - The Tsviest in the Snowy Mountains:

The airship landed in the mountains near Modoheim. Genesis stepped out and said, "Azul should be in the abandoned town." Genesis, Cloud, and Vincent headed to the town. They fought many normal and S monsters on the way. When they arrived at the abandoned mako reactor, Cloud saw a Behemoth run out of it. The behemoth growled and charged at the group.

The group finished the monster and headed for the town.

Upon arrival to the town, Genesis sensed Azul was in the old bath house. "So tell us, how do we know you wont turn on us once we find Azul?" Vincent asked. Genesis was about to answer in an annoyed tone, but Cloud interrupted by saying, "He wont, Vincent. Genesis cares far too much for Minerva...I see that now. Genesis is one of us now." Cloud and Vincent started to walk ahead. Genesis just stood there and whispered too himself, "It's been so long since I felt what friendship was like." He started to smile for the first time in a long time. Cloud looked back at Genesis and said, "Hey you coming or what?" Genesis looked at Cloud and said, "Ah....Yeah." He smiled and ran to the two.

The three warriors entered the bath house, they did'nt see anyone in there. Vincent looked around and asked, "So where is he?" Genesis pointed to a door, "Beyond there." He said. The three walked into the room and saw a giant bath tube that had murky water in it. Genesis looked around and said, "I don't understand it, I sensed he was here." Suddenly Azul jumped from the murky water and tried to slam the group, but they dodged. "Now it is time for Azul the Cerulean to take his revenge." Azul shouted. Vincent was about to shoot him but Genesis stopped Vincent. Genesis looked at Azul and said, "You know me, we share the same cells. Azul then shouted again, "SILENCE!!!!!" Genesis pulled out his sword and said, "Knock him out but don't kill him."

Azul jumped in the air to strike Cloud but Genesis knocked Azul unconsious with a Fire spell to the head. With Azul unconsious, Genesis brought him to the ship and he was placed in a prison cell with bars made of energy.

Weiss waited outside the prison cell for Azul to awake so he could explain things to Azul. Genesis and the others discussed things on the bridge. Genesis looked outside the window and said, "We should find Rosso the Crimson at the Gold Saucer." Cidd nodded and said, "Then thats where we're heading."

Well definantly an action packed chapter, although not much story development here. However it is nice to see Genesis smile for once

 

Chapter 14 - The Blood Red Woman in the Gold Saucer:

The airship landed in Barret's hometown of Corel. The group decided that Genesis, Weiss, and Yuffie should go to find Rosso the Crimson in the Gold Saucer. The three boarded the cable car and headed to the gold saucer. Upon arrival to the saucer, Genesis sensed Rosso at the station. They immediatly headed there but where stopped by Reno and Elena. Reno smirked and said, "Ya know, you guys are'nt easy to track but we finaly found ya. So let's get the show over with quick shall we." Reno prepared to fight our heros but the building behind him exploded and a peice of the ruble landed on Reno. Elena tried to pull him out, this gave our heros time to escape, "Let's take our chance and run." Yuffie said.

The three entered the station and saw Rosso. Weiss walked upto her and said, "Rosso, it's me Weiss." Rosso turned around and attacked Weiss knocking him back. Rosso then ran toward wonder square. Genesis helped Weiss up and asked, "Are you o'k?" Weiss nodded in a way that meant Yes. The group followed Rosso, but they were constantly stopped by S-monsters. They eventualy made it to wonder square where Rosso stood, she looked at the group and jumped into the hole that said Ghost. Genesis tried to jump into the hole but was stopped by more S-monsters, these S-monsters seemed stronger than the rest though. The group were able to defeat them and resumed their chase of Rosso. At the end of the ghost tunnel was a grave yard with a hotel on a hill. Genesis sensed Rosso in the hotel, "She's in there, be ready though...I have this feeling she's not alone.

The group walked slowly into the hotel and began searching for Rosso. While Weiss was searching in the lounge he accidently discovered a small doorway behind a desk. Genesis smiled, "Good job, Weiss. Now let's get Rosso." They were about to enter the doorway but more S-monsters appeared. Yuffie looked at Genesis and Weiss and said, "Go, i'll handle these jerks." Genesis nodded and he and Weiss crawled through the doorway making to the other end. When they arrived at the other end they found themselves in a dark, dirty cellar, in front of them was Rosso, "Rosso, what are you doing? You know me i'm Weiss." Rosso shouted and began to attack Genesis and Weiss. Weiss pointed to her neck, "Look at that, she's being controlled by that device." Weiss noticed a small grey device on her neck.

Genesis pulled the device off and threw it into a pile of wood. Rosso fainted under the stress, Weiss picke up her body and they went to rejoin Yuffie.

The three carried Rosso back to the cable car and returned to Corel. There they boarded the airship and placed Rosso in the medical room. Weiss returned to the prison cell still waiting for Azul to awake. While the others discussed their next course of action in the bridge. Vincent was the first to speak, "The WRO is still waiting for us at their headquaters." Genesis nodded and said, "Then that's where we should go to. There we can group and figure out a plan." Yuffie than asked, "But who was using that device to control Rosso?" Genesis looked at her and said, "Is'nt it obvious? Obviously Yazoo, Loz, and whoever they might be working with did this. Still though what did they want with the Tsviest?"

Back at the hotel cellar Yazoo and Loz picked up the decive they used on Rosso. Yazoo called someone on his phone and said, "We have the device, it was able to get her DNA." A sick cackle could be heard on Yazoo's phone.

Well Yazoo and Loz have interest in the Tsviest, but why? Who is this person Yazoo keeps calling? Why did they need Rosso's DNA? These questions will be answered soon.

In the next chapter Minerva finaly awakes.

 

Chapter 15 - The Goddess Awakens:
------------------------------------------------
Azul awoke and Weiss informed him of everything, Azul agreed to help. Rosso also awoke and agreed to help. The airship landed at the WRO headquaters and were greeted by Reeve. Reeve smiled and said, "So you have finaly arrived, it's about time. We've been waiting for you." Vincent nodded and said, "The situation has changed, let's discuss it inside." The group headed into the headquaters and sat down in Reeve's office. They explained everything to Reeve who was now surprised that they actually had the goddess of the planet with them.

Reeve stood and said, "But the Tvsiest cant be trusted, their dangerous." Genesis was about to protest but Vincent interupted him by saying, "The Tsviest are now our team mates. You know I would'nt lie to you Reeve." Reeve sighed and said, "I know...But if they make one wrong move we take them out. Now we need to find out where Yazoo and Loz are hiding and if anyone is helping them." Genesis walked out and got on the ship. He went into the medical room with his eyes closed.

When he opened his eyes, he was shocked to see the Minerva was standing before him, "M..Minerva!?" He asked. She smiled and said, "Yes Genesis, it is me." He kneeled before her and said, "Forgive me.....if I had awoken sooner I could have kept you from suffering." He was literaly crying now. Minerva kneeled down and looked him in his eyes, "You did exactly what I wanted you to do. Well done." She said and whiped his tears away. He touched her neck and cried, "They hurt you, they choked you." The choke marks were obvious. She simply put her hand on his, "But you kept them from hurting me futher and I have to thank you for that."

Just then Cloud walked in and said, "Mi...Minerva, your awake?" Cloud walked over to her and said, "I'm sure you would like more suitable surroundings than a ship." She giggled and said, "Well it would be nice." Genesis and Cloud walked her into the headquaters and she was given the best room. Vincent, Genesis and Cloud walked in and sat down. Minerva also sat in a lovely chair. Vincent looked at her and asked, "We need to know, who's will has been harming you?" She sighed and shook her head, "I'm sorry, but i'm not sure. It was so foul though." Cloud looked away, he had an idea but he was'nt sure if it was correct. Genesis was about to say something but when he did the whole building shook.

Reeve walked in and said, "We're under attack by S-monsters." Vincent looked at Reeve and asked, "How many?" Reeve shook his head and said, "Hundreds, mabey thousands." Genesis looked shocked, he looked at Minerva and said, "Get yourself to safety." She was about to protest but before she could the group was gone.

So Minerva has awakened, all of the heros are finally together and just in time too. The S-monsters are attacking by the hundreds. How will they fare in the next chapter?

 

Chapter 16 - Battle and Stolen:

Genesis fought his way through waves of monsters. The entire building was full of them, WRO soilders were everywhere fighting these monsters. Genesis told Cloud and Weiss that they should split up and so they did, each taking their own path in the building. Genesis encounter S-monsters that were much stronger than any before, he had to use all of his skill to defeat these creatures. He found a broken elevator down a hallway, "Damn it...looks like i'll have to take the stairs." Genesis was trying to get to the entrance of the building.

Genesis ran down a flight of stairs fighting more monsters on each floor of the building. Though there was many monsters their forces were starting to dwendle. Genesis made it to the second floor and entered a large empty room. In the room he found something that shocked him beyond belief, a clone of Genesis was in the room. The Genesis clone looked at Genesis and smirked. Yazoo jumped down and said, "An S-monster that was designed after your image. He has all of your abilities and he knows your weakness. He was designed by the same scientist that saved us from the brink of death." Genesis clenched his fist and slashed at Yazoo but Yazoo dodged the attack. Genesis pointed his sword at the clone ready for battle.

The clone faded into the lifestream and Genesis simply moved foreward to the entrance.

Weiss was close to the entrance but a shot was heard and Weiss was unconsious, knocked out by a tranquilizer. Genesis arrived at the entrance but was shocked to see that the WRO members here were all dead. Yazoo and Loz jumped down from a ledge and smiled at Genesis, Loz was carrying Weiss's body on his shoulder. Genesis looked shocked, "What are you doing with Weiss?" Yazoo smiled and said, "Our great scientist studied Rosso's DNA and since she and Weiss are both Tvseist, we know that Weiss's body will be perfect for the experiment." Yazoo and Loz ran out of the building and jumped on a helicopter that was about to take off. In moments they were gone. Genesis was on his knees, "BRING HIM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!" Genesis shouted to the sky.

Well now the story has just gotten alot more interesting. We now know that the man Yazoo has been talking to is a scientist that saved them in Advent Children. We now know why they wanted Rosso's DNA but what experiment are they going to do on Weiss and what are their true intentions?

BTW, This chapter means that we are half way through the story
