And medically serious. If you stay up 3 days, there's a medical reason behind it...not just noisy neighbours. If you stay up for 4 or 5, you'll die...so there must be a medical reason.

    Double post, my bad.

Omg, i was reading all these posts after i have left. Wow, this is just incredible.
I will start on something worthwhile interesting so that this Conversation is not spam.

Now, I have heard that in order to obtain and having a lincense, u have to be 18 and up. This is only in my place, witch will chain soon. I dont know over there, but it might change and its not a good idea for us.

In my case, here they want it to change because many of the teens are driving crazy and smashing a post or taking out someones life. This can be observed in many ways. F

For example, many of the teens stay up all night to drink, and party and going from place to place. Now, in my opinion, its not healthy to walk around or,in this case, driving at 2:00am in the street. This can cause disasters and can even have the risk of taking out someones life, including themselves.

Now, this the main reason why here they want to change it to 18 +.

If teens where more carefull in these days, it will stay to 16 to get the license. Its impossible now, because each day there is a death from a teen drving like crazy/drunk.

Would anyone agree to this matter?

I wouldn't agree. People pin the blame on teenagers/Drink driving. Although there are cases of this, Theres more of adult drink driving.

Its always been 18 over here and i don't think that it will be changing. Personally i would like it to change. I think that there are as many irrisponsable 20 year olds as there are 16 year olds. But people want to pin the blame on somone. And that somone is teenagers, Cause there too "youg" to know better.

^^20 year olds are practically 16 year olds...it isn't until you settle down that you can be 'trusted' behind the wheel. That's the reason why teenagers (in particular males) pay more insurance. Where I live, you pay increased insurance until you're 25.

There's a precise mathematical (/financial) reason why this is, dealing with risk, and insurance...but I don't know if I should bother. The point is, teenagers (yes this includes 20 year olds) have the worst driving records, and as such pay higher premiums. It doesn't seem fair to the good drivers, but everyone claims to be a good driver until they do something stupid.

In particular this deals with 16 year olds, who have the absolute highest incidence of driving accidents. This isn't necessarily because of alcohol or foolish driving, but simply due to inexperience.

So take home point: I think raising the age to 18 will accomplish nothing. They'll simply have a higher proportion of accidents caused by 18 year olds than 16 year olds.

However I disagree with sao-sao's claim above. There is a lot of alcohol-related accidents in the adult population...but there are still more teenage driving accidents (just ask the insurance companies how much they dish out to teenagers).

Ya, that's what im trying to point out. Even though, i have seen teens drink in a very low age. This is hits with the adult supervision and education.

It only depends on how much dicipline is in their adult. But ofcourse, in the end.. the teens decide weather or not trust there parents. But now, many parents don't have 'time' to stay with their children.

That is true. I am 16, and have my driving permit. Last week, I drove on the freeway for the first time. I am saying this because there were times that I was going 80 mph without even realizing it. I didn't get into an accident, but it shows that I need more practice. The only problem with getting that practice is my mom won't let me drive on the freeway (I drove with my aunt and uncle, my mom doesn't know about it), so it is hard to get that practice. My dad won't let me drive if somebody who isn't an adult is in the car. That is understandible, but it prevents me from practicing.

Where I live, people are first given a learner's permit which doesn't allow them to ride on the highway.

After a year learning period (where they must be accompanied by an experienced driver) they must take a driver's test, which allows them to drive anywhere, without an experienced driver, but are limited to having passengers over the age of 17...but they cannot have ANY alcohol when driving.

They then take a THIRD test (which is tedious, yes), which allows them to drive with no restriction, and a slightly elevated blood alcohol.

Well, that happens with all permits. You can't drive alone if u have a permit. U can drive if some beside is very experienced.

Looks like this matter has pointed out enough. Lets go for another topic shall we?

Will the economy (where you live/the world) get better in any way?

I dont think our econmy is going to be getting better anywhere soon. Maybe in a couple of decades or so. But before/IF it gets better, Its going to get a hell of alot worse

Would you marry someone for love or for money?

I would hope the answer is obvious...and yet it's not, is it?

Every person has needs...I picture these needs as a Chessboard let's say. Each square of the chessboard corresponds to one thing that is needed, and some people need 'more than one' of a given thing.

Some people need money above all else...so the entire chessboard corresponds to wealth.

Others need love above all else...so the entire chessboard corresponds to wealth.

A third choice, perhaps, might be sexual desire. Many people marry for lust, instead of love and/or money.

And of course it goes without saying that there are other needs, and it can be any combination of these needs. Even something like video games, is a need, in this sense.

The way a given person allocates this 'chessboard' indicates how they are most likely to respond to this question: Are more squares on the chessboard 'love' squares?...then you'd marry for love, and not money.

Personally, I grew up in kind of a rundown neighbourhood and didn't have the most money...so I'd probably not have as much of a need of money as a lot of people might. I on the otherhand, do not like time to myself. I get lonely very easily...I'm kind of needy in that way.

    So I'd choose love.
