~Broken Dreams~

Lily looked up at him and smiled. To be pretty honest, she never really knew he was gone anywhere. She scratched her head.....come to think of it.....she never even knew he had a sister! Her and Barry didn't really talk much. Mostly because he was always sitting in his corner singing. 'Barry's always singing and if he isnt he's dashing off to places.' She thought to herself. He was always so unorthadox.

 

Will spun his laptop so Ed and Raven could see it. It was a song list, and a big one at that. "I played Metallica, AC/DC, Offspring, Avenged Sevenfold, Foo Fighters, Guns N Roses, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, 3 Days Grace, and much more..." He said, naming a few off of the list of about 30 bands. "And also, if the bands on this list, I could play their music blindfolded." He said, grinning slightly.

 

Ed's eyes widened a bit by the list. "Okay, so you're skilled with plenty of music styles. The drums work for pretty much any sound, or mostly any band sound anyway. But I'm used to playing hard and fast, or soft and slow, but I'm not too bad in between."

He looked over at Max. "Hey, Max, what do you think?"

 

Barry sat down on a little sofa as he munched down a hot-dog he had bought from a street-vender outside.
Barry wiped some mustard off his chin,

"Whose band?" He said taking breaks to chew as he talked.

 

Lily looked at Barry with his hotdog. She was both hungry and bored. She grinned and said with every intention of putting him off his hotdog. "You know the guy that serves those doesn't wash his hands after he goes to the bathroom."

 

Ed looked around, and realized no one had probably ate sense being here. "Is anybody hungry? I'll buy."

He looked over at Lily, "Hotdog, right?" then looked to Barry. "And by the way man, she's right. I don't buy hotdogs from him either."

 

Barry slurped down his dog and laughed, "Too late, suckah!" He chuckled, giving a little soft friendly punch on Lily's shoulder as he went to wash his hands.

Barry got a napkin to clean up his face and sat back down. "So, which one of you guys are gonna be the rock-star?" Barry smiled looking around, he hadn't understood what they were talking about.

 

She sighed then looked at her shoulder 'Dude.... u got mustard on Will's hoddie.' Lily said while wiping it clean. She retched at the smell......she hated mustard. 'These guys must have tounges of wood. it tastes disgusting, it looks horrid and they just guzzle it down.' She suddenly realised that she has been thinking alot lately too.

 

Ed shrugged, "Alright kiddies. I'm gonna get some pizza. And NO complaining."

"Be back in a bit!" Ed walked back to his corvette, and drove off to the nearest Pizza Hut.

 

Barry exhaled and sighed, "Never-mind..." He groaned and looked down at his watch, it was already five.

"Hey, listen, you guys, I gotta be at the club in an hour- have fun." Barry quickly smiled as he ran out to his car.

He was disappointed no one would come or tell him what they were talking about, but in the meanwhile- Barry had a date.

 

'There he goes again' she thought 'typical'. She streached and looked around. Her stomach grumbled. 'Ed better hurry with that pizza, not sure if my tummy can take the waiting' She sat back down and resumed playing with the string. Raven, Will and Max looked as bored as she did.

 

Ed got to the Pizza hut around 4:30, and was relieved to see no line at the counter. He walked over, and tried not to sound too unfriendly.

"Seat for one?" The waitress asked.
"Um no, I'd like to order to go please."
"Ok, what can I get ya?" She was starting to blush, he could tell she was new. Her nametag had the name Sarra written on it.

"I'd like to get four larges. Two pepperoni, and two cheese. Both with extra cheese too please. And three two liters of Dr. Pepper, and one Mt. Dew" He didn't know exactly what everyone liked, so he was trying to wing it.

She took her time writing it down, and ringing up the price. "That's gonna be $26.43."
Ed reached into his back pocked for his wallet, and pulled out a twenty and a ten.

"Thank you." She returned his change. "That's going to take about thirty minutes. Why don't you have a seat until its done."

He turned around and sat at the booth next to the door. "Thank you, and could I get a Mt. Dew while I wait please?" She smiled at him. "Sure thing, and you've been so nice, its on me."

While she went to get his drink, he heard someone else come in. He looked over and saw a asian man, looked like he was in his twenties, and had long, spiked black and blond hair. And then he recognized who it was.

"Billy!" Ed got up from his seat as Billy was turning around. "Rei! Its been ages!" They grasped each other's forearms. "Billy, I thought you'd gone on to Chicago!"

Billy was Ed's privious lead guitar, and he'd been damn good too. Billy grinned, "Yeah, I did, but then I got myself in owning a local club here."

Ed about swooned. "A club? As in, a popular local club? As in a club where you'd let a band play, for a price?"

Billy thought for a moment, his eyes looking slightly up and to the right. "Well, yeah, if they're good. Do you have someone in mind?"

Ed was about to jump out of his skin. He almost shouted his next line. "Yeah, but they're still getting ready. I mean, the practically made the decicion an hour ago."

Billy shrugged. "Alright, if they get started, get me a sample, and if they're good, I'll pay a good $100 a person."

Ed was freaking out. He didn't even notice the drink that had been placed on the table. He saw that the ice was melting, and it was starting to soak the table. He grabbed it, and guzzled it down.

"Billy, I'm going to let them know. Can I get your number?" Ed got out his phone.

"Sure, its 541-213-8680."

"Awesome, got it." He put up the phone, and grasped Billy's forearm again. "You won't regret it!"

"Sir, your pizza is done." The waitress said as she was placing the pizza on the counter.

"Thank you Serra." He grabbed the pizza, and bolted out the door, nodding to Billy.

He couldn't wait to get back to the others. He checked his clock, it was 5:13.

 

Lily was starting to fall asleep again... 'Ed's taking his time' she thought. 'He better not be eating it' She wrapped the string around her wrist, pulled out her ipod, turned on 'Good enough' by evanescence and closed her eyes. She curled into a ball on the couch and fell asleep to the soothing sound of the piano intro.

 

Ed pulled up the the usual spot. He was trying not to eat the pizza, but he couldn't help himself. He'd already had a slice of pepproni.

He got out of the car, pulled out the pizzas, and walked over to the others. He walked over to Lily, and saw her sound asleep.

He put down the pizza by her feet, and took out a slice of chesse. He put it by her nose, "Wake up kitty, kitty."

 

While Lily was asleep she could feel a tingly feeling under her nose and it smelt of melted cheese, but soon it became a burning feeling. She wrinkled her nose and opened her eyes and squinted at the huge pizza slice that was dangling under her nose. Then she looked up and saw Ed's huge face grinning at her. "Whats up chuck?" She asked while sliding the pizza out of Ed's hand. She was just about to take a bite out of it until she heard tiny music playing in the backround. She handed the pizza back to Ed, pulled out her headphones,and turned her ipod off. Then she slowly took the pizza from his hands again and took a huge bite. She looked up and smiled at Ed.

 

Raven had fallen asleep as well. He could never stay awake for long without eating regulary (alot).
*sniff* *sniff*
"I smell... Pepperoni and cheese." he whispered. He quickly grabbed a few slices from the box and put one in his mouth. "Mmm! Nice!"

 

He smiled back. "Cheesy, no?"

He grabbed a slice of cheese, and folded it. "I should have got some marinara sause too."

He took a seat next to Lily. "Sooo, are we the only ones eating?" He looked at everyone else.

He decided to go ahead and call Barry later and give him the news.

"Okay guys. I've got hella sick news. At Pizza Hut, I saw an old friend of mine, from my last band. He said he owns a popular local club in the area, and that he'd pay a good band to play for 100$ a person." He looked around. "I guess they'll get the news when they wake up."

He shrugged, "Anyway, when we start recording, we'll take him a sample, and get the gig. Score to Apollo baby!"

 

Lily was too hungrey to care about anything, she just kept nibbling at her pizza and savouring the cheesyness of it. She looked at raven guzzling down his pizza. Then she looked at Ed.......she wondered why guys fold their pizza before eating it. She finished her first slice and grabbed another out of the box. This time she took a pepperoni pizza. She took a bite then looked at Ed. "okkkaaaayyy?" she said while taking a bite.

 

"That's awesome! And we'll all have another $50 to spend!" Raven said enthousiasticly. "But... Start recording with what? I don't have a studio...
Do you?" He shrugged. "And what if we make it... won't we freeze on stage?" He saw Lily wake up as well.
"Hello sleepyhead!"

 

He looked over at her, and realized he had sauce on his mouth. He wiped off, and tried not to blush. "Well, when I saw that friend of mine, and they had to cook the pizza too." Then he realized the forgot the sodas in the car.

"Hold on, I forgot something" He put his pizza back in the boxes, and ran to the car, and got the soda.

"I got Dr.Pepper and Mt. Dew. Who wants some?"
