Beyond Life and Death ~Actual RP~

“By all that is holy! What is that creature?! A servant of Lucifer?!” Victor shouted as he pushed his weight into the floor, widening his stance slightly. He had witnessed and participated in exorcisms before, often the one who was told to hold the possessed down; he remembered at the sheer strength a little girl had when she was in contact with the demon, toppling over strong men with ease, as if they were nothing but ragdolls. But this...this was different. Never before had Victor witnessed with his own eyes a beast as terrifying as this: it's long sinewy body, coiled up, pointing an accusatory claw in his direction. The body of a dragon and the wings of a bird, without a doubt this had to be some lesser, albeit powerful, demon.

“Ahem... let's see... Angels...” It growled as it pointed to Victor and a young woman, it clambered over on its large, bony claws, a melodic clicking sound as it's razer-sharp nails rapped against the tiled floor. “You first... I believe you'll be tasty...” It said as it eyed the young woman, excitement and hunger shining in it's murky eyes as it bared its fangs. The woman, unsure of what to do, threw a small bottle at the creature, the beast screeching in agony as its contents poured over its face. "You little piece of..." It bellowed at the girl, at it inched closer, "I should poke your eyes out...and rip you in half!" Victor looked over to Shuya, he was frightened and looked frozen, until he ran at the creature with all his might. "Shuya!" He called out to him as the boy sprinted at the creature.

Victor's heart was racing, he held his rosary firmly in his hand, counting down each bead as the creature slowly moved towards the woman. “Ave Maria, Ave Maria, Ave Maria...” He counted each prayer bead aloud to himself as the creature moved closer and closer to her, “Ave Maria, Ave Maria, Ave Maria...” He stopped right there, everything seemed to move slower, Victor could hear the sound of his rapid-breathing.

What was happening? He clutched his chest and could hear a soft-voice in the back of his mind, “Victor...it is normal to not know your place in the world,” He recognized the voice, it was the little monk! He smiled as he imagined the man berating him for being too-devout, “It is the Lord's way of testing our resolve when faced with dire straits,” Victor felt something warm coming over him, something pleasant and relaxing. He wasn't sure what it was, but he felt...confident.

The clicking of the beasts nails brought Victor back to reality, the creature practically on top of the young woman now. Without thinking he ran towards the girl and threw her out of the way, a look of surprise coming from both the woman and himself. The words of the little monk still rang in his head, “When these things happen, the best thing to do is pray and ask the Lord for strength,” Victor looked at the creature intently, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't scared, “for he shall reveal all that is hidden to you when the time is right.” Victor nervously fingered his final prayer bead, “Gloria Patri...”

 

Sweat was dripping off of Victor's forehead, the concentration and tenseness of the situation was showing now. The creature let out an eerie chuckle, “What's this... another pathetic, un-awakened Angel wants to fight me... interesting... but...” With a muffled, distorted sigh, it picked up Victor and threw him half-way across the store. Cereal, drinks, and cups flew everywhere as Vic slid across the tile, only to be stopped by a small freezer.

This was it. This was where he was going to die. Victor let out a breath of hot air, spitting out some blood that was forming in the back of his mouth. He touched the last prayer bead and signed himself in the cross, “Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum.” He let out another stream of hot air, as he started breathing heavily, “Lord,” He murmured, “Give me strength...” As soon as he said it, a bright light engulfed him, obscuring his vision. The light brushed across his cheeks, gently caressing him as if he was a newborn child.

“An earlier Awakening... I see God wants to protect you...” The beast spat out as its glare pierced Victor.

A large being knelt down beside him and touched his chest, it smiled and looked reassuringly at Victor, “You will be given power... power to protect... be loyal to your God and carry out his order...” It said to him, its voice was melodic and soothing, giving Victor a rush of chills down his spine. The being took its hand off of Victor's chest and began ascending back into the sky.

Victor stood up and brushed himself off. This feeling... A warmth was flowing through his body like nothing he could describe. He felt strong, courageous, as if the Archangel Michael had blessed him with a sliver of his grace. Victor stared at the beast intensely, “The Lord has granted me, one of his humble flock, something great,” He roared at the creature, “To smite all those who oppose him and to protect the faith of the pure hearted!” He mockingly pointed a finger at the creature, a smile forming on his cracked, bloody lips, “You are but a blemish on the Lord's great plan and for that,” Victor said as he walked closer to the beast, “You will be punished.”

He rushed at the beast, throwing all his strength into a right-hook square against the creatures jaw. A blood-curdling scream echoed from the beast's throat as it flew to the back of the store from the impact of the punch. Victor looked at his hand, it was radiating with a soft-yellow light as the creature's blood slowly evaporated off of his knuckles. He reached for his rosary and kissed its crucifix, “I am your servant, O Lord.”

 

"Wow this girl is amazing in water...who is she?"
"I have no Idea but we need her on our female swim team"
"It's like she's just gliding through the water. It's unbelievable, she's like the female Michael Phelps...or better"

People began to crowd the edge of the pool as the girl got out of the pool, she stood about 4'1 and appeared to be 17 years old. The girl hadn't realized people had began crowding around her until she untied her hair from the long ponytail. Her turquoise hair began to glisten as the water fell from her hair and her turquoise eyes appeared to glow as she opened her eyes and flipped her hair. When the girl opened her eyes she had realized people where crowding and they began to flood her with question.

"Whoa...whoa...leave me alone!" Kimari said as she grabbed her bag and her towel and stormed out the entrance to the pool. Kimari cheeks began to get red and her eyes began to get teary as she reached the exit of the gymnasium. "Why would you even go swimming Kimmi that was so stupid of you!...im such an idiot." Kimari murmured as she walked out the door and began to head for the park.

Kimari looked around and then began putting on white dress with a blue trim. "You need to think more Kimari...your on your own out here....no parent...no family...you barely know why you have these powers." The girl began looking through her bag and grabbed out a small turquoise book the read "Holy Bible" on the front of it. Kimari bowed her head down and put her hands together before saying " Dear, God please help, I know I seem to ask you for a lot. And I know I'm not supposed to question you...but please let me know why am I going through these strange changes and why am I able to do this awkward things...I just want answers...Please don't let my nosey-ness be the death of me. In the name of Jesus i ask of you". She then began to cry silently. Kimari couldn't think as her tears began to hit the book, in which was open to Genesis 1:1.

 

"Rose, my dear..." Rose stood there panic when she heard a familiar voice. She turned and saw a beautiful woman standing next to her she turned and looked at her and was shocked.

"M--mom...?" Rose stood there.

"You have been chosen, my wonderful daughter, you are gifted, you are destined to do many great things in this world and for the almighty kingdom. A defender, a fighter, a powerful healer. You contain the power of Earth's Greens. Use the power and rid this world of creatures like that." Her mother said looking up at the creature. Rose looked over at it.

"You want me to fight that?! But how?!" Rose exclaimed probably gaining funny looks.

"You are powerful, you have nothing to fear, your tests as a normal human have proven that to us and to yourself. You must defend them, you can do it. Think back to our times in the garden, think back to watching all the vegetables and flowers grow, think back to watching your tree grow and age as you grew and aged as well. That is your gift." Her mother laid a hand on her heart and a warm feeling found itself into Rose. She closed her eyes feeling it. She felt less afraid, she felt stronger, confident, protective. She could do anything, as long as anything involved defending the lives of humans and heaven.

"Mom..." Rose turned and looked at her mother.

"Go newborn angel, grow, defend, and heal! Use your heart and feel the life in the Earthy Greens around you. Go, Angel Rose." Her mother said starting to fade away.

"Mom, I miss you..."

"I love you dear, but now you must go fulfill your destiny." Her mother said before disappearing. She looked back to see the older man fighting while the other two stood in the store.

"Come on, get out!" She said grabbing the other girl's hand and the boy's hand pulling them out of the store as fast as she could. She quickly ran back in and went behind the counter and looked at the cashier. He was bloody but alive. Rose looked over him and from her nurse training at the community college while still in high school she noticed that he had fractured the rib, judging by it's location if moved or tampered with it would puncture the lung and cause major damage.

"We need to call an ambulance..." Rose first thought until she looked over at a rack of seeds. Suddenly as if knowledge was put into her head knowledge she knew for centuries came to life. She ran over and picked up a seed packet belonging to a simple herb for seasoning. She hurried back to the cashier and ripped open the envelope dumping the seeds into her hand she watched as the seed began to grow over her hand and it glowed a gold color before she picked off a leaf and dropped it into his mouth. The leaf absorbed into his body as the fracture began to heal at a miraculous rate. In a matter of a few seconds it was healed so were other severe injuries and any pain he experience.

"How did...?" the cashier asked. Rose shook her head.

"I'm not even sure, now get out of here." Rose said as the cashier got up and many other cashiers and pharmaceutical assistances and a doctor ran out the door. She stood up and watched as the man, Virgin, was fighting the beast.

 

As Minato started walking on his way back to the store where he got himself a drink, Minato thought something.
"Something evil is down there... could it be, a evil, vile four-legged beast? Minato continued walking. He was sure it could be really real what he was thinking... A beast, with a dragon's body and has the wings of a bird? Minato was confused. But he eventually was in front of the store right now where he got a drink a few hours ago. Minato looked at the store and walked there to take a seat. His friend dog followed him and just sat in the ground.

"Some coffee please. And milk." Minato said to the man. The man took a pitcher with coffee in it and poured it into a cup. Then the man took a container of milk in the refrigerator and poured it to a bowl.

"Here you go, hope you enjoy it!" The man said as he puts on the television.
Minato took the bowl and placed it carefully next to his friend dog. The dog licked it fast.
Minato sipped his coffee and he enjoyed it.

"Still, I'm worried of that beast killing people. Could I... go back to Earth to save some people? Well, I'm sure that the Lord blessed some people. I know he will always help them..." Minato thought as he sipped his cup of coffee again.

 

"What the hell, what was that thing? Ryuu cautiously walked back Into the store the creature was gone and It looked like everyone was okay, She ran over to the lady that dragged her out "What just happend?" Ryuu asked her while trying to take In what she had just seen.

 

No soon as Victor had sent the beast flying to the back of the store, Shuya was on top of it. He was about to call out to the boy until he saw a dark, malevolent aura surrounding him, not only that but a long sword was erupting from his hand. The boy held the blade above his head and, with a force uncommon for a boy his size, cleanly sliced the creature in two. A ear-shattering scream bellowed out from the beast's lungs, as if it was calling out to someone or something. Victor stood in amazement, 'Perhaps it is a special day for all of us?' He thought to himself as the boy wiped the dark blood off his new-found sword.

Victor, in a stroke of brilliance unbeknownst to him, realized that he threw a young woman out of the small store. “Oh Lord...” He muttered as he imagined the tongue-lashing he might receive. Turning around he noticed the girl just standing there, no doubt having witnessed the fight. He ran his hand through his hair, an apologetic smile on his face, “I apologize for being rough with you, I suppose we've all had a trying day today; I hope you aren't injured, Miss.”

He walked over to the young woman and held a slightly scuffed up hand to her, as a kind gesture. Victor looked at her, she was a pretty girl, couldn't have been more than 18, but she had this kind, gentle face that reminded him strongly of a mother figure. “It seems everyone escaped unharmed,” He thought a loud to himself as he shook off a slight soreness in his arm, “For that I am thankful. The Lord surely does care for his people!” He smiled widely as he thought again of the celestial being. Surely this is the plan the Lord had made for him! Victor looked back to the young woman and realized something, “Oh, excuse me, I haven't introduced myself. My name is Victor, who are you?”

In another stroke of brilliance, he also realized there was another young girl latched onto the woman's arm, thoroughly embarrassed at this point, Victor bowed his head, “Excuse me, once again! I didn't see you there!” He looked up to notice it was the same girl who was running about outside with a large box of ice cream in her hands. She looked younger than the other girl, but she didn't seem scared of what happened at all, merely...confused. Victor shook his head and smiled softly, “Perhaps this would be a good time to sit somewhere, preferably cool, and talk?” He suggested as he pointed to Shuya and the two young women.

 

Minato felt something that the beast disappeared/died. But the cause of it's death was it been sliced by a boy which had some dark aura. Since Angels don't even have dark aura, they have light instead.
"Huh? I felt something, that the beast died. That beast... It must've been a demon from Hell or some servant." Minato thought as he finished his coffee. His friend dog was already gone and left his drink on the ground.

"He finished it. Well it's time to leave." Minato said as he used some of his powers without even fire since he had the power to control the element Volcano to get the empty bowl of milk up to his hand. He placed it in the table next to his empty cup of coffee. Minato left with money also left on the table and He walked back to his house.

"Good to be home. Now let's eat some food instead drinking a drink." He said as he grabbed a bag of some snacks. He picks up a container of biscuits and opened it. He ate some biscuits and enjoyed it too. Minato thinked that he should read the book again today.

"Maybe I should read that book again." He thought as he grabbed the book and opened it to the page where he left at.
The book was about some creatures that didn't exist. They were all myths, but yet interesting.

 

The battle was quick over and the young girl ran in grabbing hold of her arm.She listened to her but then the man came over introducing herself.

"My name is Rose, pleasure to meet you." Rose told the boy.She looked at his arm that appeared to be sore. She looked at the small plant she had created and grew in her hand. She ripped off a leaf and gave it to the man.

"This should help with your sore arm. I don't know how and why but it should help." Rose told him before looking back at the boy in the back.

"And going somewhere and talking would be nice." Rose said smiling to him.

 

Minato was still reading the book. He was almost finished in it, but Minato stopped reading it and putted a mark on it too. He closed the book and took it back to the bookcase.
"Time for some training, Destroyer." Minato said as he opened the door and was greeted by his friend dog, looking forward to his training.

"Bark! I heard you are going for training. Can I--" The dog said but Minato talked as the dog was about to complete his question.
"Of course you can watch me." Minato smiled as he started walking on his way to the training grounds. The dog followed him.

Minato stepped into the ground of the training grounds. It was a large, space of big rocks surrounding it. There were 10 dummies at the distance.
"This is a good place for training indeed." Minato said as he showed up his katana, the Destroyer.
Minato walked near the dummies. He unsheathed his katana and swings it to the air. Then Minato sheathes his katana and the dummies were sliced, and fell off.

"Well that's kind of amazing. Let's try it this time with my powers." Minato said as he looked at his right hand.

 

Ryuu walked to the door and looked at the guy that was around her age "I think I saw him around school before..." then looked at the man and the women, She leaned on the wall "Are we gonna go or what?" She said, crossing her arms and tapping her foot waiting them.

 

Charlotte watched the passing group from her balcony. She recognised a few of them from her school; how could they have taken those things down? On a whim, she followed them of pure curiosity. Besides, she was skilled with a bow and arrow.

She grabbed her weapon and ran to catch up with the small group, slowing down as she approached them.

 

Minato putted his hands on the ground. The ground shaked for a while, but some spikes appeared at the ground and they were made out of earth. Some lava came out of it slowly.

"That... Was... Exhausting." Minato panted as it costed his energy using his strong power.
He looked at his friend dog, Hiro.
"That element is very rare, the Volcano...!" Hiro barked as he was surprised by Minato's powers. Minato stood up and he sweated a little bit. He walked on his way home to rest.

"I've gotta get used more to my powers." Minato said to himself, but Hiro ran to his home as Minato was already near his house.

 

Victor bowed his head, his hand to his chest, and smiled softly, “Likewise, Rose, a pleasure indeed.” He rubbed his arm again and winced slightly, he was starting to feel increasingly sore; that punch against the creature really took a toll on him. He noticed the young woman was looking at his arm as well, a slight look of concern crossing her face. She held out a leaf to him, “This should help with your sore arm. I don't know how and why but it should help.” She told him softly.

He looked at the small leaf, it seemed to be glowing with that same light that was emanating from his fist, 'This young woman seems to be blessed by the Lord as well.' He thought to himself as he tossed the small leaf into his mouth. Immediately, as if he didn't get into a fight in the first place, his arm and cuts were healed. “Sweet Mother in Heaven! A spectacular gift the Lord has granted you!” He cried out as he smiled broadly to Rose.

Rose looked to Victor and smiled as well, “And going somewhere and talking would be nice.” The other young woman standing near Rose spoke up for the first time, “Are we gonna go or what?” She thought a loud. Victor laughed heartily, “Patience is a virtue, young one! But, let's go on our way!” He called out to Shuya to follow them as he strode out of the destroyed building, now with purpose and meaning to his life, Victor made a promise to himself and the Lord to do all that he could for His divine plan.

 

Charlotte stopped before she reached the group. She'd underestimated those creatures.
She gazed at the pit that once was the local ice cream stand; now all that remained were parts of what looked to be an umbrella. Emotions swirled in her and she realised that she had to something to help; anything.

She whispered a prayer and hoped that God would listen, and the world seemed to pause momentarily.

"You have a great will, as I predicted. You have been chosen." A soothing voice echoed through her, subtle, almost inaudible. Yet it spoke over every other sound."Since you so desire to help, I will grant you the strength to do so." Charlotte couldn't hear or see anything else now; the only thing that mattered was the gentle voice."Never lose that strength nor the will to use it."

And then the world began again, but she felt strangely different. As if she were in another body. She had no doubt that what had just happened to her was what happened to the group that fought the demons. Charlotte figured that that group would know more about this- whatever it had been.

She ran in the direction they were heading, no longer fueled by mere curiosity.

 

"Well how about that..." I knew someone was following but decided to keep It to myself It probably wasn't anyone Important though, I put my headphones on and continued walking behind... um... whatever his name Is... wait I don't know his name yet eh I guess I'll learn It later. "Where are we going?" I asked him

 

Charlotte noticed that the girl with headphones knew she was following, and wondered why she said nothing of it. Not that it mattered. She stopped before the group.
"Hey, wait up!" she called to them. She immediately continued, "I know this is going to sound insane, but I saw what happened to you while you were fighting those things, and, umm..." she paused to consider exactly what she was going to say, finally settling on,"I think it happened to me as well. I was praying and I heard a voice."
She quieted and awaited their reaction.

OOC: I really need to find a better word for "group". I was going to use "congregation", but that seemed a little melodramartic.
