Cho caught up to them, smiled and shrugged non-chelantly, "Simply curious is all. A pair like you two is bound to raise questions. You ever think about getting some .... less conspicuous clothing?" Cho questioned them as they continued walking and before any of them could bother to answer he added, "Speaking of conspicuous, perhaps we should get off of the roofs? If we stay up here we are bound to raise peoples suspicions, and I for one, would rather not get questioned by the patrols." He leaped off the buildings and waited for the other travelers to follow.

Shuhei hung lazily over the side of the boat as his father had gone off to get supplies. The wait was too much and any longer he would probably loose his sanity. His fingers rested in the icy water and small fish swam up to him and nibbled his fingers. A smile tugged at his face and he chuckled a little.

"I don't think i'm going to like that kid." Jaffar growled. "Aww, let him be." "He didn't even help us. That snot would be running all the way to the water nation if he found out who I was." Nino sighed. "But thats behind us. You aren't an assassin anymore. Your a normal guy, and a merchant." Jaffar looked up at the sky. "Yes, but something tells me i will have to use my knives again. Come on." He helped her onto this back, then jumped off the roof. He pushed off from the wall, and zig zagged to the ground. Nino jumped off. "Well, lets get our shopping done." "Yeah." They started to walk away. Jaffar stopped. Grudgingly, he said, "Your welcome to come with if you want kid." He pulled his hat down, and they walked back towards the market.

 

Kazuya stood up slow and rigid as if he had practiced the stance for years. The coners of his eyes quivered like a blade of grass on a windy day as small trails of liquified crystal traveled down his face. He clenched his fists tightly allowing the skin of his fingers and his palms to strictly nudge against each other. He pivoted his body one hundred and eighty degrees and then walked menacingly through the frame of the stone buildings entrance. He noticed a male and a female that seemed to stand out among the crowd. One was proudly carrying aa eccentricly styled spear and the other seemed to be a forest bender. Kazuya turned to them with hatred coating his eyes. He reached slowly into his haori (top part of his clothing) and pulled out a rolled up piece of parchment. He stuck out his index finger and harshly pointed at the mans face on the parchment. He spoke out loudly adressing the two incividuals. "You two, have you seen this man?" Growing impatient all ready he asked again. "I said have you seen him?!" He knew that he had come off as a bit of a jerk but he needed to find Keiyusetsu. "I suggest you answer quickly unless you want your hands and feet to be bound." He let his eyes stare coldly into theirs.

Leon turned around and looked at Kazuya. "No. I have not seen him before." Leon started to reach for his spear, but then he stopped himself. "And also. You should not give out hollow threats to somebody. In fact, you should not threaten those you do not know." Leon continued walking. He walked past Kazuya, since Kazuya came from where the commotion was. He stopped again. "This person you are asking about... Did he do something that caused that big commotion up ahead?"

Tom also heard the commotion. But instead of walking through the streets, he walked across the roofs of houses. He noticed Kazuya and Leon. "Hmm... This looks interesting. I've got nothing else to do."

 

Jaffar and Nino had finished up their shopping, and were argueing about what should happen next. "I want to out side the city walls for a while. Its been so long." Nino argued. "Yeah, but how will you get by the soldiers? They tend to keep people in." "I can handle it." Nino stuck out her tongue. "Yeah, sure. Listen, i'd rather you didn't get into any trouble." Jaffar was trying for placating. To bad he didn't have any practice. Nino on the other hand was a force to be reckoned with. "I'm going Jaffar, whether you want me to or not." Jaffar was annoyed, but knew how Nino could be. "Fine, but if you cause trouble I won't help you. Clean up your own messes." Nino smiled. "Don't worry Jaffar, I won't do anything rash. I promise." She turned and ran off towards the walls. Nino, why are you such a bother? He thought, before heading home.

Nino had arrived at the gates, and was trying to get a look at the time. "Hour till they close for the night, i think." She walked out side, and saw the major commotion. "Wow, I wonder what happened." She started walking towards the people. She also saw a guy with a spear walk away in a huff.

Cho's lips tugged into a smile, "You two seem to be like family. I'd assume the two of you have been through a lot?" He questioned the traveler, "By the way my name is Cho -- ji" Cho had to quickly change his name as a pair of guards passed them, "Choji" He stated again and held out his hand for the man to take it, "If you need a guide I'd be more than happy to show you around."

 

Jaffar shook his head. "Thanks but no thanks. Yes, we have been through a lot. I just hope that girl doesn't bring down all of Ba Sing Se on us." He kept walking, and looked at the sky. He idly wondered what it was he was supposed to do with his life. He hadn't killed in ages, but.. It was all he knew. He stopped walking, and turned around to face Chojing. "Why are you following us any way? What is it you want?"

 

Cho shrugged again, "As I said before. I'm curious. Nothing else to it." He smiled and leaned against a wall not far behind him.

"Suit yourself. But i warn you that i lead a very dull existence now. Don't bother me." With that, Jaffar began walking away. The second he rounded a corner, he climbed the wall to the roof tops, then began running. Something about that boy was bugging him, though he couldn't put his finger on why.

Kazuya put down his hand and glared at Leon. He calmed imself down realizing that he was going overboard and replied to Leons remark. "I may threaten whom ever I so please, and I assure you my threats were not empty." He let out a prideful scof. "Since you say you don't know him or you havn't seen him it doesn't matter anyway because I havn't the time."

He turned to Sekerra and looked at her not with an angry look but with eyes of confusion. "You, your a forest bender correct?" He said to her more calm then he had spoken to Leon. "I wouldn't say it's obvious but your presence just gives it away I guess." Kazuya said ignoring the fact that Leon was also a forest bender. He noticed, he just didn't care. "I'm sorry for being rude, I just really need to know where he is." He was now speaking to both of the benders, it had seem that he was a different person a result of his easily angered personality. He took a deep breath and then uttered words that he regreted having to say. "This man killed my uncle, that's why I was so blunt..." He winced as if the sentence he spoke had cut through him.

 

Leon felt a little sorry. "I appologize. I didn't know. If you want, I will help you find him. Searching for one person in Ba Sing Se is like looking for a needle in a haystack."

 

Kazuya's white hair hung dreadgully in his face. He replied to Leon. "It's fine." He said quickly as not to waste time. "I know hes still in Ba Sing Se because he isn't dumb enough to leave his hidden weapons bunker unmanned, if we hurry we can catch him before his trail slips away." He seemed to know a bit about this general. "Thanks."

Tori had been sobbing against the trunk of the old tree for quite some time now. She was finally tired of the tears. She stood up and wiped her eyes with the sleeves of her Obi. "Dad..." she said quietly after realizing that she was out of line. "I-I'm sorry....I didn't mean to yell..." She placed her hand on his shoulder passing on her appology.

He sat silently for a few seconds and then turned to her and smiled. "It's ok Tori, Your dinners over there." He peered into a fish that had been sitting over the coals of the fire that he had built. "It turns out that airbending did work out anyway." He turned around so that Tori could not see his face.

"Thanks dad, but wheres yours?" she asked curiously.

"I still have to catch mine you go ahead and eat." He said to her in a gentle tone although his face was melancholy. He thought to himself many times. 'I knew she should have stayed in the water tribe, I knew it...She doesn't like me, I'm such a bad parent...she should have stayed in water tribe.'
