    Both, but more so the latter.

    I'll start with the first, giving a quick explanation of aura's.

    Basically there are two types of aura. There is the inner aura and the outer aura. Both come from the same source and both have completely different tasks.

    Aura is created from the electrical energy that fires between our nerve cells. Basically, it is the electric field that this electricity generates as it flows back and forth, giving and receiving signals from and to the brain. In a aura wielder, a certain, mostly unused, part of the brain is turned on at around five to eight years of age, that give them the power to control this electricity in their bodies.

    That said, here is an explanation on inner aura.

    The inner aura deals directly with the electricity within the body. It can be used to release the limits on a humans strength and speed, letting them reach their full capability. Most humans have a limit on how far they can push themselves. The inner aura can also control pain, sense strength, and reaction time. Basically this means that aura user's can temporarily ignore the signals from their pain receptors so they don't lose their concentration. Also they can hear sounds most can't here, taste and smell far better than the average human, and even increase their eye strength to those unimaginable to those of our race. They can even see the outer aura of a person. The inner aura is colorless.

    The outer aura deals with the energy field outside of our bodies. It can do many more things than the inner aura, like using telepathy to read minds, move objects, and even control the very elements themselves. In avatar the last air bender, i suspect that this is how they "bend" their elements, requiring certain mind frames to control certain elements. The outer aura can allow a person to read another persons mind by looking into their inner aura, which works regardless of whether they can use their aura or not. They can move objects with their power as well, using energy as a force to act on an object. They can even float for short periods of time. A persons outer aura will show as a color, depending on their mood.

    Using both auras is not without risk. Remember that when aura is used, the body is being forced to do something it was not originally meant to do. While minor telepathy doesn't tax the body very much, using this power in a fight is exhausting both physically and mentally. If to much electricity is used, the persons nerves will lose partial function, effectively paralyzing them for a period of time if not permanently, and they can even lose their nervous system completely. If this happens, the organs of the body will stop receiving commands to function, and the person will die almost instantly. A aura user can sense their limits, judging off how exhausted they feel.

    Now for a fast explanation on elemental power.

    No matter were you look in the elements, you can usually break them into four true elements. Air, Water, Fire, and Earth. Air can be broken into calm, and wind. Water can be broken into water, ice, and mist. Fire can be made into lightening, and smoke. Earth can be broken into stone, and sand. Regardless, a aura user who has mastered their powers can use these elements. They just have to create the conditions in which the four main elements exist. No easy feat, but once done they can use power much greater than just normal aura abilities.

    Since Air is basically whether or not a wind is blowing, this technique requires little in the way of construction. They simply have to create heat and cold fronts to make the winds move to and fro. Using these simple techniques, a aura wielder can create something like a slight breeze, to a raging tornado while only exerting the same amount of work for both.

    Water is slightly more difficult than Air. Since water is created from 2 oxygen atoms and 1 hydrogen atom, a person has to bond the two elements to create it. It is actually easier to resort to wind to gather the water that is required. Simply pulling the water out of the air can be difficult, but not taxing. It requires a lot of concentration to then keep the water in a liquid form because it came from a gaseous form. Just imagine trying to then turn it into a solid, the exact opposite of what it wants to do. Using water in its liquid form from the get go is much easier than taking it from a gas or solid source. Water is more powerful than Air because one can do much more with it. A person can even, and yes i do this a lot, rain a hale of ice needles on their foe. Since you are controlling how close the atoms are together, ice that was made from mist will not be cold but actually warm. Same as taking ice and turning it into mist.

    Earth is the next element, and possibly the easiest to use since it is everywhere. No matter the form, it can be changed from sand to stone and back again, though it does require a lot of mental effort to keep many sand particles together to make any size of stone. The bigger the rock, the more power that is needed to control it. A person can not actually make a rock grow bigger or smaller, unless sand is being used, and once a person cuts a junk out of the ground they are stuck with it. Earth use takes sheer will power to control this element, though its defensive capabilities are far higher than any other element. The most some one could do to hurt a foe would be to make the ground shake or shift, or pull a rock out of the ground and throw it. Once thrown, a person can take their control from it. It just needs some force to get it moving. In terms of sheer power earth is the strongest, but not much can be done with it.

    Fire is the last element, and some might say that it is the strongest. It requires several things to create, heat and fuel. Because of this, fire is also the hardest element to control. First, someone must make their aura heat without burning themselves, no easy task, and second they must find a fuel source. Oxygen can be used, but once a source is designated, the fire will want to spread as far as that source will let it. Water can be used to raise the mist concentration around the fire to prevent it from getting to big. In order to hurl a fire ball, the fire must be allowed to have fuel as it goes. Once ignited, fire is fairly easy to deal with so long as the user has a lot of self control.

    Basically the sky is the limit with each ability, save for the limitations i posted. Remember that lightening is actually fire, since it is basically heat and energy requiring a source of fuel. Lightening is risky to use though because it can just as easily shoot back on the user as opposed to the target.

    Thus ends my really freagin big post on what aura users can, and can't do. Hope this answers all of your questions. :D

    I am closing this because no one seems to want to step forward and say, "I wanna help." I will attempt to get the rp up in a week, without a skill tree. That's right, a plain story rp allowing for element manipulation. That said,

    Command = Closed
