When Marx saw the result of his little fun he grinned. Perfect. Marx quickly charged the chain with electrictiy and spunit so that it began to fly around Raiga. As Raiga slashed at it, the electrified blade failed to cut the charged metal, only throwing the spear blade off course into a pillar. Marx leapt over to the pillar and ripped his blade out before re-attacjing it to his spear shaft. With a loud yell Marx charged in, leaping from pillar to pillar before landing in front of Raiga and unleashing a barrage of stabs.

Overload, now! Raiga conjured in his head in response to the rapid attacks, slowing everything down around him. Now that he could see the attacks coming, it became a much easier matter to dodge. Granted, while his muscles moved just as slow, this ability still came in handy for preparations. The electrically oriented man began to bend his sword, adjusting slightly where need be so he was only just barely missed by the spear (And occasionally being nicked) until it was in a cylindrical shape that fit over his hand, with plenty of metal inside to spare. He aimed it just right to intercept the next jab, the head going into the cylinder quite nicely and just barely poking out the end, just below Raiga's wrist. He sealed the head in with some of the spare metal that was ripped and grinned a grin, just as the overload wore out. The bizarre object began to spark as he remarked, "It's buster time."

Marx grunted as his spear was suddenly caught. He pulled it a couple times but it wasn't going to come free easily. It even bagan to spark so Marx lossend his right hands grip on the spear, ready to let go if he needed to.
    "It's buster time."
Marx looked up as hi opponent spoke. "Buster time? No, it's time for you to die!" Marx pulled his left arm back and threw a punch at Raigas face

Raiga's hands were busy holding the Handcannon in place so that the spear wouldn't escape, so he was unable to block the punch as it came. By the time the hit connected, however, the shot had been just released. The ball of energy incinerated the spear as it traveled down the length, Raiga attempting to hold his ground at the same time. He attempted to roll his head with the punch as it came.

As the punch connected Marx smiled. A clean hit! He thought. However instead of following through with another punch he jumped back to a nearby pillar. Once he landed he looked down to the few remaining chain links in his other hand. His spear was destroyed, all that was left was a small amount of chain. Marx's face grew to once of immense rage. "You'll pay for that!"

Raiga stepped backwards and fell, stunned by the punch. Just as he was just about to pass the edge, his hand lashed out and his Whip flew and grabbed at Marx, connecting with the chain (Attracted, I should say) and giving Raiga enough leverage to fling himself back up. He landed on his feet, having somersaulted onto the platform moments before.

"What a. . . SHOCKING discovery, wouldn't you say?" He began as he came out of the roll. "Here's the deal - we both have a lightning, battle, 'k? Alright, one, two, three!"

As he finished counting, He stretched his arms out and pointed his fingers at his opponents. Upon finishing the stance, electricity branched out from his fingertips.

Marx growled as he leapt aside to a different piller. He needed his weapon, without it he felt vulnerable. Despite his lightning abilities, his spear was always his go to weapon because it saw him through everything and never failed him. Losing it really had more of an impact on him than any attack could have otherwise. Feeling empowered by the rage over his loss he began charging up all the electric energy he could and channeled it all to the small remaining chain he still held in his hand. When he felt he couldn't hold it any longer he threw the chain at the pillar that Raiga was standing on. The white hot, supercharged metal easily cut through the rock. As the tower began to collapse beneath Raiga, Marx fired a powerful bolt of lightning at his foe's head.

The fact that the pillar was beginning to collapse certainly startled him, but it didn't phase him from by fact that Raiga was expecting his foe to throw something powerful at him. Granted, those seconds of charging went into the chain and not into Marx's hands, but his guard was still up (mostly). As the bolt of lighting headed towards the man, he began to create a Plasma Blade while jumping up in the air*. The Blade was unfinished, but that was the point. The bolt struck it and it exploded, sending its user back a pillar. Once he recovered, he immediately began reforming his Handcannon into the HRG, using the remaining metal to make five rounds. Raiga pulled his static barrier up as he prepared it.

*By this time, the pillar had begun to slant a bit from the chain hitting and taking a chunk out of it.

Marx was angry that his attacks had failed to knock Riaga down into below the clouds floating around the pillars. Once he saw his foe forming the cannon that was used to destroy his spear he grew enraged. He began to leap from pillar to pillar, rushing around Raiga. As he did, Marx began firing multiple bolts of lighting at the man.

Raiga had finished making the Hand Railgun by the time his foe had fired off the second shot. The barrier did take the edge off the bolts some, but it still didn't stop his legs from getting shocked a little. The third bolt Raiga dodged, loading the gun with the first bullet. While Marx was firing the fourth, he was charging the round for maximum velocity, but was still nicked by the bolt. As his foe was in the air (after firing the fourth bolt and was moving from pillar to pillar) Raiga took aim and fired the supercharged bullet at the only speed Railguns could go - too damn fast. He immediately reloaded and charged up another shot.

"I was going to make a witty comment, but I couldn't think of anything."

The railgun's bullet hit Marx square in the chest and sent him flying through the pillar behind him and causing him to make a small crater in the next pillar he hit. Before he fell, Marx quickly reached onto the pillar and pulled himself to the top. He coughed up blood as he tried to regain his breath. He stood up and after a single glance he threw off his chest armor. There was a large hole in the front and the back was so dented that it was digging into his skin. All Marx had left was his shoulder and arm greives and his pants and leg armor. His cape was attached to his chest armor so when that came off so did his cape. Now without the cape and armor on Marx muscular phisyque was fully on display. He had the body of a battle-hardened warrior, muscles were clearly defined. The only marks on his skin were a few scars from previous battles and a large bruise right in the center of his chest, caused from his armor taking the blow from the railgun, no railcannon it seemed. His long light blue hair flew to the right as the wind blowed. I need to finish this now. Marx gragged the armor he took off and turne it around so that the hole faced him. Without Raiga being able to see the inside of the armor, Marx charged up a large ball of lightning within it. If the armor hit something with a decent amount of force, it would explode like a bomb of pure thuindering energy. Marx jumped closer to Raiga and to quickly distract him, he launched a couple lightning bolts at him before throwing the armor with enough force that as soon as it collided with something it would explode.

Raiga took the opportunity that his opponent gave him (When inspecting his own armor) to finish readying another round and trying something new. He placed his hands on the gun (One finger still curling around the trigger) in the same style he would when he was preparing a magiked shot. However, his hands encased the railgun instead of air and straight up magical energy. This new technique was almost put to use with a Gravity round, but after seeing Marx begin to rush at him while (Suspiciously) carrying his ruined armor, he had an idea. He charged it up with a Magnega round instead, dodging the few bolts his foe threw at him as best he could (But not letting them touch the gun). The moment Marx was throwing the 'package', Raiga fired the round right into his body, magnetizing his foe.

"I say, looks like your attempt to throw a rather sharp piece of metal at me has backfired, wouldn't you say?" He cackled before dismantling the HRG enough so that it too was just sharp pieces of metal and let them fly at his foe.

    GAME!

"NO!!" Marx yelled as evrything hit him. First the light sharp metal of Raiga's armor ripped him up, cutting through his skin like butter. Some even got lodged in his skin. Marx felt right there that he wouldn't be able to keep fighting but the worst had yet to come. His own lightning bomb, formed from his power and armor, now came rushing at him. The last thought to cross his mind was how foolish he was. The armor hit him right in his chest and for a second there was nothing but silence. Suddenly without warning the armor exploded into thousands of peices while charging Marx with more power than anything in the world could handle. Then the effects of the mangnega caused the shrapnel from his exploded armor to rush in and slice through his body beyond a human limit. As the light and smoke cleared, Marx was standing on a pillar. He was bloodied, bits of srap metal were sticking out of his body at various spots and angles. His eyes were glazed over and his hair was stained by his blood. He took a step forward as if to still fight, but then his strength gave out and he fell off the pillar. The end of a proud and brutal warrior.

In the multi-versally famous Beta Arena, a jungle-gymlike structure appeared. It had a central 'cube' composed of eight smaller boxes (each measuring 10'-10'-10'); Then, each box outside that initial center area was 5'-5'-5'. The bars, 1 1/2 inches in diameter, are incapable of being broken by any means, non-conducive, and well insulated against temperature changes. The arena has a special field around it - a portal system, in fact. 30 feet from the main cube, the system activates (Unseen, it's just like travelling normally) that sends the traveler to the side opposite the one they had left. Fifty feet above the initial cube, a loop activates, sending the user back twenty. The sun shines precisely above the center bar of the whole structure. (Center -> go fifty feet up, you get sent back to the bottom of the cubes twenty feet down. Same principle applies to the sides, but you get sent to the cubes of the opposite sides. The portal system only works for living beings and things currently attatched to their bodies, so energy attacks, throwing items, and the like just fly through the portal and out of the arena.)

Malisa Jals appeared on a bar in the center area of the arena, balancing on it whilst being seated. She immediately took a glance and used a little typical magic sense, telling her that the place was enchanted. What kind, she would have to find out, but all in due time.

"So this is the Arena?" She muttered to herself, hopping off of her bar and landing neatly onto her feet on the ground below. "I can't say I was expecting this. Still, this is just one more way that I might meet my brother."

In preparation for her opponent, she erected her Defensive Barrier up (just large enough to encompass her body).

"Woah!" Xohka yells when he entered the arena. He stepped in an empty space and almost fell and broke his neck if he hadn't reached for one of the bars. He hadn't expected to be in a jungle gym. "Whew, that would've been embarassing, losing before a second in this match." Climbing down, he saw a girl looking around.
"Target acquired," he whispered. "Aw, but it's a girl. I can't just sneak attack her." And added a thought, Especially a cute one like her.
He climbed lower, took off his mask and yelled to the girl,"Hey! You! Up here! Are you my opponent?"

The witch looked up to see a rather strange person, dressed up in the garb of what one would consider an assassin. She obtained a sweet-ish look on her face, almost like a pout, beginning, "Maybe I- BLAZE!" and ending with a shout, bringing her arms up. A floating spell circle appeared in front of each hand and fired cylindrical blasts of light at the man, dropping her barrier moments before. She couldn't afford to let him have any slack.

Xohka jumped to five bars to the right and threw two ninja stars at the girl mid-air. When he landed, he said to himself sarcastically," Well, she sure is a nice one, huh." He covered his grinning face with the mask and put his left hand on a shadow of the closest bar. He used his right hand on his short sword. "I should at least try to get her name, though."

Malisa summoned her keyblade in time to block one of the stars, but didn't react quickly enough and was nicked by the second in the shoulder.

"Ow! That one almost got me!" She pointed out, much to the obviousness of it all. "No more easy mode, time to play rough!" The witch then pointed the keyblade at her opponent and shouted, "SCATTERSHOT!", firing a small bead of light. She was quick to activate Glide and begin sliding in the opposite direction, making sure to duck down from the bars. She was just a little taller than five feet, after all.

"A total magic user, eh? This is gonna be tough." He used Shadow Transfer before the pearls reached him and raced through the shadow's from the bars to get close to his opponent. He jumped out of the shadow in front of her and examined her weapon for a quick second. Letting go of the sword he was holding on to, mainly because the ninja code doesn't allow him to kill women or children that aren't demons, he curled his hand into a fist and struck at her. But he didn't know she was moving so it came up short and he tripped and fell on his face. As he was sliding painfully, he pushed himself off the ground to make him a human missile feet-first.
