The 'I' is supposed to be lower cased, not upper cased. And the sentence sounds a little awkward. 'I am left with little option' sounds incorrect. Something more like 'I am left with a few choices' or something. Minus two points.

Too, not to. You use 'to' for sentences such as 'I am going to the mall.' You use too for something like 'It is too much.' And of course, two is used for numbers. Minus one point.

Same reason as before. Too, not to. Minus one point.

The comma is not needed. Without the comma, that part of the sentence would go something like '... [W]ould soon join the spirits that he had long been summoning.' Minus one point.

Once again, no comma needed. Without the comma, were would be was. And it is simple, not simply. Minus two points.

Either hints, or the hint. Minus one point.

No comma. Minus one point. And the sentence itself sounds like a run on, but there is nothing gramatically incorrect.

To summarize, Zerieth has five points, Zhyriad has four points. Both of you have six posts left.

Ben knew that something was up with Kuan. He could see him smiling savagely, and felt that if he didn't kill him fast then he would be the one lying dead. He pulled on his blade, making it grind his body in half. Kuan lay dead now, but for some reason, Ben could feel that the fight wasn't over. "Wait a second. He's a necromancer, and everyone knows they have ways to cheat death. Shit." He began searching for Kuan, or a possible threat. He pulled his whip back into sword mode, and kept himself as aware as possible, constantly searching for threats.

    {Snap, didn't even know I was in this thread. But my post will be going up here}

EDIT AS OF 12:34 AM EST, December16

    The desired effect…

Ben’s reaction to Kuan’s maneuver was has he had hoped. While he was confident at first that he had bested his foe, which was lost when he remembered the fullest extents of a necromancer’s power. Kuan felt a slight bemusement watching his hunter search frantically for his new dwelling form. In this lapse of battle,

This body does feel fit enough. It will do fine… but for now, I’ll leave it be.

This man, whatever his name was, provided Kuan with a body that was more than suitable to the necessity. His lean, fit form housed a level of physical fitness that had surpassed the taller, clumsier body that had been Kuan’s home for so long. It was more attractive at that, one that stood out amongst many others. Gray eyes, and black hair to match, and no doubt with a smile that could charm any woman he so desired, which had been a liberty that had been nonexistent in his old form. And still, he was unaware that his body was playing host to not just one soul, but two. And with his soul holding dominance, Kuan’s presence in him was, on the whole, masked. The greatest hint to any sort of change was that the man’s eyes seemed to shift slightly to a purple tint.

After a bit of searching, Kuan managed to scour out the man’s name. ‘Lance Dutreau’ was his designated name. He had been enlisted into the Galactic Military Air Force at the age of 20, two years ago. His rank was Sergeant, and he had been a squad leader. His reason for being here: He was on a weeklong leave from service, but for what, Kuan was unable to retrieve. Something was impeding his attempts to learn of his new host. His puzzlement lasted for a moment before he figured out what the problem was. This man had uncovered him, and was keeping his secrets held tight from the Kuan’s view.

I know you’re there. Even a normal person can feel it when a spirit has taken residence within their body.

Then I take it you won’t let me stay?

Well, I can tell you right now that if this guy really wants you dead, he probably won’t think twice about killing me to make that happen.

Well, hopefully he’ll know the value of a human life. I just need to get myself out of here.

I won’t ask what’s up between the two of you, but I’ll help you out, so long as you leave my body to me when this is over.

    >He was apparently trying to do real life stuff. Please let us know in the future Zhyriad, that way no one has to wait. Let's just keep going.<

Ben was looking around for anything out of the ordinary. At last he spotted a guy that seemed to fit the bill. He was the only one not moving, and was standing oddly, like two people were trying to control him at the same time. Further more, the guys eyes were blank, like nothing was really looking through them. A second later, the guys eyes began going jerky, moving everywhere, common behaviour for someone getting used to a new position. "Check." Ben said aloud, then unfurled his blade. Flames sprouted on it almost instantly. The blade headed point first for the military guy.

(Sorry for the delay. Seriously misjudged wifi availibility in airports.)

I thank you Lance Dutreau. Oh, and you should probably watch out.

Yeah, I know. I got it.

Lance's military training had lent itself to a surpased level of physicality, which he used quite effectively. The nail tipped, razor sharp point of the extending blade threatened the pair. It's flinging motion, so much like a snake's method, was precise, but avoidable. Such a weapon was not easily moved from one point of attack to another, and many of the whips either of the two had encountered, had to be recalled in order for a new attack to be made. The soldier's motions were a sort of backwards roll into a crouched position, ducking below the blade's path.*

Under Kuan's direction, Lance's arm shot out pushing against the air with its palm open facing out. Ensuing from the hand, a blast of purple energy, the same energy that had been used in his earlier defenses, sprung out in rush at Ben's chest. In midflight, the Dead Energy blast split itself into five separate blasts diverging from the original Position of the larger one. One still aimed at his chest. Two others split off below and above the original. The last two split off to the left and right of that point.

Were one to hit, Ben's lifeforce would be depleted, or rather, it would be cut off. Should this happen, he would begin to feel drained of energy, and come to an inability to cast spells. Ar most, this would last long enough to stall him for a moment while Kuan made his escape. Should they all hit, he would likely be left unconscious for a short while.*

Either way, Kuan would be able to skim out of a pointless battle.

Since no time was worthy of waste, and every moment prescious to the necromancer, the body of Lance Dutreau followed through with a hapazard sprinting motion into the droves of people, leaving behind his issued carrying pack. If Lance could just make it into the colony, Kuan so ***
Would be able to depart for another location, and find a more willing host.

    >Hey! Wtf. Did my post get deleted? I can't see my last post.<
"Nice move." Ben said to himself, recalling his blade. Before it completely reset, he whipped it around his body, creating a fiery wall. At the same time, a dome of flame surrounded him, blocking all of the anti life blasts. "But he forgot that I'm not just limited to this one method of attack." He ran forward, flinging his blade out, and managed to catch the army guys ankle. He pulled, grinding into the guys heel. "You don't have a body to go to you know. Eventually, you will run out of power, and you will die."

Lance was running, sprinting really, at a faster pace than he could recall, even from his endless days of training at the boot camp (and they always said that boot camp was the hardest thing ever). But there was one big difference between this situation, and the days a boot camp: At boot camp, nothing was real, and the only things at stake was his own future. Here and now, there was more to it. Not only was the danger real, but he was no longer responsible for only himself, but for the well being of another person's life. So he ran hard, and ran fast, pushing legs and lungs to move faster, keeping the hope that he'd be able to reach the crowds of people, wherein he would be safer.

Just ten feet shy of a small drove of tourist type people, he felt something wrap around his ankle, and a force pulling him back in the direction from whence he had come. It would have been painful, and possibly debilitating, had he not been wearing the same army issued boots that had been specifically designed for combat. Thus, there was a fine layer of armored material upon the them, especially upon the lower part, which lessened the effect of having a blade driven into his heel. He needed no eyes upon the back of his head to tell him what had happened: The other mage had used his extending blade to reach out, and catch his leg. Now he was reeling him in like a fish on a hook, helpless to move out of harm's way should it come upon him. Even if his foot was still in tact, it was, as far as he could tell, the end of the road, unless his resident soul had any plans.

Unless you've got a plan for us, it's been a pleasure having you around.

Not to worry, I'm not out of ideas just yet. How fast could you unlatch your boot?

Pretty fast. But probably not fast enough to make an escape now.

Then I'll just have to use a different method. I operate best in places where death is rampant, and ever present. I can bring us to such a place.

But will that not kill me?

You will be fine, so long as I'm with you.

    Go for it then.

Given that the barrier between life and death was a paper thin manifestation, it was easily broken through by those that knew how to do so. And given that it was present as the space in which the two realms were held, it could be opened anywhere, from anywhere. It was upon this knowledge that Kuan's new tactic rested. Extending his concentrations out to the space around Ben, first just above his head, and beneath his feet seconds later, he performed another 'summoning', or so it would seem. But there was no spirit coming out from either gateway. The first portal was geared as a distraction from the one opening beneath Ben's feet. The one beneath his feet, was to act to suck him down into the realm of the dead. Even if Lance and Kuan were unable to escape from his coiling blade, the success of the move could spell his defeat.

    "You drove us to this."
    "You drove us to this."

The two voices of Kuan and Lance spoke clearly to their attacker just as the portals were fully opened.

"Shoot." He said. "That was totally and completely unexpected. Guess I have to loose my inner fire. TAKE THIS!!" His whole body began to glow red, yellow, and orange. Bits of lightening crackled around him as he charged his body to it's limit. The hair on the back of Lances neck stood straight up, as the power began to spread outside of Bens body. Then, everything became calm. In the center of Bens right hand, having switched his blade to his left, was a white ball of fire the size of a nickle. The two portals, their energy disrupted by the display Ben had put up, became unstable, and started to close. "This white dot, holds all but a 1/20 of my inner fire. Lets see you dodge this." He let the ball slide to his index finger, which he pointed at Lance, and Kuan. "Later." Ben said with a smile, then all hell broke loose. A circle of light, showing the signs of Fire and Life appeared around Bens wrist. The white ball instantly grew to about the size of a basketball. Then, it sent out a colossal blast of white hot fire. This is my last attack. After this, I won't even be able to stay conscious, let alone fight a undead master. But he isn't going to dodge this with my sword around his foot. Looks like a tie. The blast picked up speed. Lance and Kuan had only seconds left before it hit.

Setting up for the Moogle vs. Shadow*91.

    One of my personal favorites

    Location:

Within an unknown plane of existance, surrounded by a thin white-gray cloud of mist, this battle is to be determined upon a series of unfathomably high stone pillars. Each pillar drops off into the depths of the mist, beyond which is unknown. They are roughly four feet in diameter, and spaced about four feet apart. the warriors start off at opposite ends if the arena, appearing as mere shadows to their foe on the other side.

    Conditions:

The pillars upon which this battle are none too sturdy at their bases, or otherwise, are being eaten away at the bottom. Either or, the pillars are falling one after another at random intervals.

    Ready... Set... GOOOOO!!!!!

Marx lightly touched down on one of the larger pillars, overlooking the smaller. He gripped his spear and wrapped a small bit of its chain around his right hand. "So my fight is to be here." Marx looked about the surroundings, taking note of how some of the pillars looked ready to fall at the slightest touch. Ke kicked a tiny pebble off his pillar and listened. And listened, but what for never came. "It seems falling past the mist would be a dangerous and deadly move. It will take all my care to keep my balance."

Raiga appeared on a platform about ten pilliars away, wearing a breastplate over his normal clothes. "This again? It's like the universe likes to see me fight." He grumbled before pulling the breastplate off. He quickly remolded it into a Charged Blade and gave it a few practice swings before staring down his opponent across the way, activating his weapon and bracing himself for the imminent attack.

Marx had watched his opponent appear with little interest, however when he manipulated his metal breastplate into a sword Marx smiled. At least I am promised an interesting match up. Seeing Raiga stand awaitng an attack, Marx realized he was expected to make the first move. He sighed but otherwise readied himself, it wasn't his style to actually start fights. It was more to his liking to finish them.
However, Marx was not going to be discurtious and force his opponent to make the first move. Gripping his spear, Marx began leaping from pillar to pillar, getting closre to Raiga with each bound. When he was only three feat away, Marx lashed out with his spear aiming a stab at Raiga's newly exposed chest.

The moment his foe began running, Raiga stabbed his sword to the side of himself into the pillar. He was waiting for just the right moment, one had curling into a 'gun' and the other gripping the handle of the blade, which was in the direct center of the platform. Once Marx had reached him, the man pulled himself to the right (using the sword as leverage) and fired a Graviga shot at Marx. He then pulled the sword out and jumped backwards onto the next pillar to the right.

    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

As Marx had stabbed in mid-air, the Graviga attack was going to be hard to dodge. For an ordinary warrior that is. Marx quickly fired off the spear blade, embedding it into one of the pillars. With a hard tug on the chain he wapped around his hand earlier, Marx pulled himself out of harms way and swung himself back on top of a pillar. He gave another tug and the blade was pulled free from the stone and lifted up to him. Marx caught it on the spear shaft, forming his complete spear once more and grinned. The battle was not to be finished that easily. Marx this time tried a different strategy. He cegan to charge electricity into his spear and with a quick thrust, he fired out a lighting bolt straight at Raiga.

Raiga immediately discharged his blade and connected the hilt to one of the gems on his gauntlets when he saw the bolt coming. The single strike connected with the metal and ran down it straight into the amber gem - and was completely absorbed. It glowed brightly for a moment before it was re-channeled into the blade, creating the arcing effect that was necessary for its infamous slicing power. The man then retaliated with several more Gravity shots with a Magnega shot thrown in in case he blocked it. Odds are, his opponent wouldn't just try to dodge it all.

    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

Marx smiled when he launched the attack but the smile faded when Raiga used it to fuel his own counterattack. Reacting quiclkly Marx jumped back to a different pillar and launched lightning bolts at the graviy shots. Against the Magnega though, Marx had a different plan. He quickly fired off his spear blade into the magnega shot. Let's see what happens now...

The spear blade was immediately magnetized the moment it hit the 'bullet' of attracting energy, getting the attention of Raiga's sword. Raiga immediately responded by leaping the two or three platforms over to where the two connected, attempting to grab the chain and cut it. Even if he just barely missed hit with his hands, he would still attempt to slice it with the electrified sword.
