Ancient Egypt - Asequel to Highschool Hell (Continued, rated M for mature.)

Eris giggled "He reminds me so much of myself though. Maybe after you all die I will keep him as my pet."

 

Eris laughed darkly and put the scared looking baby down. "Go to your mommy little Jacob." she said with mocking gentleness.

 

Eris glared "Now is that any way to treat your true mother!?" she said to Jacob with a stern face. She used a little electricity on Jacob "A little dicipline wouldn't hurt you!"

 

Tom got to the base of the mountain. There was a small town nearby. He started running as fast as he could towards it. His dad followed with equal speed.

He made it to the town. He asked everybody he saw, "Is there a catacomb here?" One villager pointed him in the right direction. He went in there and found Hope. "Okay. Now how do I get to the Underworld?" He thought to himself.

His dad had dialed in for the fastest jet available for them to travel. It would be there in a few minutes.

 

Eris laughed "All questions will be answered if your friends return." she laughed "But if I were you I would be more worried about if Tom will find Kyuu on time."

Artemis looked at Eris "He found Hope." she informed her as she kept the Equator going. The shadow was already a third of the way across the sun."

 

"How do I get to Hell?" Tom thought to himself.

"I might know the entrance to the Underworld." Matt said to Tom.

"Really? Where?"

"I believe it's out in Siberia."

Tom stopped in his tracks. "But then we'll never make it in time."

"Don't worry." Matt said, looking up at the sky. A jet landed near them. "We'll make it in time. Get in."

Tom ran into the jet and sat down in the co-pilot seat. He set Hope down in one of the three extra seats. Matt got in the pilot's seat (obviously there was no original pilot). Matt flipped a few switches and they took off. Tom watched the ground soar below him. The speed they were moving at was incredible. They made it to Siberia.

"Okay, let's see if I can find this cave again." Matt said, looking around. "It's a rather big one, so keep your eyes open."

Tom scanned the horizon and saw a big dark spot. He ran to it and saw it was a gigantic cave in the shape of a dog's mouth. "Is this it?"

"Yeah, this looks like it's the place. Good job. Let's hurry."

Tom and Matt ran into the cave.

 

The Eclipse two thirds of the way across the sun by the time Matt and Tom reached Siberia "Better hurry, little hero. You'll never find your friends at this pace." Artemis's voice said to Tom.

 

"If you tell me where the last girl is, that'll make life much easier." Tom yelled out. The deeper they got into the cave, the more and more it started becoming like a building. Tom then saw Angel lying down against a pillar. "Angel!" He started to run towards her.

But then the ground started shaking. Before Tom made it to Angel, Cerberus jumped between them. Cerberus ran to attack Tom.

Tom pulled out the Phantom Dagger and slashed Cerberus. Cerberus fell down and looked dead. But before Tom could get to Angel, Cerberus rose up again.

"This is the Underworld." A voice said. "You can't kill the guardian." Hades walked out. Cerberus stood still, watching Tom the whole time.

"Hades, please help me." Tom said. "Surely you don't agree with Artemis."

"Go ahead, take the girl." Hades said. "She's still alive. She shouldn't be here. By the way, a little hint with that knife. As Artemis said, it won't work if you just will it with rage. You have to be calm when you fight with it. If it detects rage, it won't fully work. It'll hurt like hell, but won't kill."

"Thanks." Tom said, picking Angel up. He and Matt hurried to the exit.

 

The Eclipse was now three fourths of the way across the sun. By the time that Tom and Matt got out of the cave the light had drastically deminished. Artemis watched her two pawns in their game exit the cave with Angel in Tom's arms. She laughed "They will never find out the last one." she told Eris "That riddle has far too many possible answers."

 

Tom set Angel down in another seat. He turned to Matt. "Okay dad, we need to think. Where would somebody who is all around the world but stays in one corner be? The only place I can think of is Outer Space, but that's impossible. Kyuu would die."

"I'm not sure. Heck, TV gets broadcast all over the world, but there are too many TV stations to look through and not enough time to look." Matt answered.

"What if we could get ourselves more time?" Tom said, thinking of the perfect loophole to the game.

"What do you mean?" Matt asked.

"I've thought of something. It should work, but it's too early to try. For now, let's get back to America. We'll think of something there."

They both got in the jet and took off.

 

Artemis giggled and shook her head "He thinks he can cheat at my little game." she said to Eris.

Eris laughed "Now Arti we dont know that quite yet lets just watch our little game unfold."

Artemis laughed "Hadies will pay for helping those mortals."

Eris laughed "Honestly whose side is he on?"

 

Tom was thinking over any possible solution for the riddle. "Okay, is there any other option besides TV? Like is there something that is known about worldwide?"

"I don't know. There are plenty of countries like that."

"But it has to be a specific place. I know that they wouldn't make the area too large. But where?"

 

Artemis sighed and looked at Jesse "Things dont look good with your friends. Seems they can't find Kyuu." she said with a mocking pouty look on her face "Whatever shall we do now?"

 

"Let's think. Everybody in the world knows about America. Is there a place in America everybody knows about?" Tom said.

"There's New York." Matt said, flying the jet in that direction.

"Too big. Is there anything in New York that everybody would know about?"

"I'm not sure. I think everybody knows about the Empire State Building, but that's too big. It's probably something unique."

Tom thought about this for a few minutes. "What about the Statue of Liberty? It's unique. And I think everybody knows about it."

"It's worth a shot."

 

Artemis laughed "Oh well they are smarter then I thought." she said clapping her hands together. "But the eclipse is almsot over. And A little storm might be alittle trouble for them to land their jet." she laughed as Eris rose her hand and a hurricane formed.

 

Tom saw a storm forming up. "Will this storm stop us?"

"Yeah, I can't land in this." Matt answered. He handed Tom a card. "I'm gonna eject your seat so you can get on the island. Take this card. It'll have the security guards let you through. I'm gonna take these girls back to the mountain after you eject."

"Okay." Tom said. Before he was ejected, he picked something off of the ground.

Matt ejected him from the jet. Tom landed safely on the island.

The eclipse was just about to cover everything. Tom looked at what was in his hand. A flashlight. He turned it on and shined it on the ground. He thought about what he was told about his time limit. "You have until the shadow of the moon covers all light to solve our riddles." He knew the light from the flashlight couldn't be covered by the shadow. Now the game lasted as long as he wanted.
