I find books help with my writing, not to mention that's it's an enjoyable hobby xD

Read The Lord of the Rings, there's a lot of descriptions in that series, then you can find your happy balance between conversations and describing events or actions surrounding it :P

You could always co-author a novel, then you'd have somebody else helping you out with it (:
