Won't Be Real Active

    Ok yeah I won't be real active for a while. I have no idea why and how, but my laptop screen is coming off of it's hinges so it's broken. It works, but the that happened to my ds beforre and I'm not going to risk getting a white screen like my old ds. Tomorrow I'm taking it to Office Max to get it checked. I'm hoping they'll ship it out for me for free, or I might have to pay. Maybe if I'm lucy they'll actually transfer my hard drive into a new one there and give me a new laptop but lwet's face it, that won't happen. SO for a couple weeks I won't be as active I will still come on my cell maybe now and then boot my lil bro off the dell comp or track down my old laptop that my bro has and use it.

    Just to proove though I can still do stuff on my celll, I made this thread on my cell.

    hate to break it to you, but you'll have to pay repairs. the same thing is wrong with mine, but warrenty doesnt cover self damage (it broke while i was opening -_________-)

    btw it wont white screen just keep it open all the time and it'll be fine =].

    Alright awesome, I just embraced teh wires as well with that clear duck like scotch tape, I looked at the screws came loose there. As is I found one whole screw. I taped it to my computer so I won't loose it. And dang with teh warranty. Oh well I'm willing to pay with my own money

    My lap top goes with me everywhere though, school, girl scouts, band, my dad's and mom's, grandparents so on. I need to be able to close it plus I just bought a $120 lap top bag last month and I need to be able to close my lap top and put it into it.

    The Nintendo DS has very primitive 'laptop connections' if you will (across the hinge) because it's so small.

    Usually, you have fairly sturdy connections across there, depending on your laptop model (what is your laptop model?) so I'm willing to bet your laptop won't asplode on you like the DS did.

    To copy/transfer the contents of your Hard Drive costs about 75 bucks Canadian...but since it's monopolized (ie. a 'necessary service' like gasoline prices), it might be upwards from that. No one does it for free I'm afraid, but you could avoid all of this by doing the copying yourself before you ship off your lappy. (Note that this is for people with broken laptops, who cannot access their important documents any other way...but you can! And you'll save money by doing so)

    If your warranty doesn't cover repairs (It may...depending on the manufacturer, but probably not), maybe you should invest in some plastic cement and a technologically savvy friend to just repair it for you.

    Well the laptop is kind of beat up so I'll just ship it. I have the HP Pavillion Laptop. If you look up the picture the right hinge broke off and stuff. As for the hardrive, Best Buy Geek Squad did it free for me last time or my uncle can do it.

    is the model DV2000?

    if so its prob a fault in production cause mines broke on right corner/hinge.

    You got the sameone, because that is mine. Probaly. I wonder why though. Is on the left side by the power button that little (I don't know what to call it) cover popping off as well? Mine is, but I ignore it often popping it back in place.
