Okay. So the creator of Kingdom Hearts has said Kingdom Hearts won't end here, and that just leaves the question! Where does it end?! Could you imagine a 67 year old beer gut Sora or maybe he'll birth a rugrat and we'll have Sora Jr. I mean, KH3 feels like it to me. I honestly can't imagine any other story arc. What about you guys?

I personally would agree with you. The Xehanort Sega has been the major story arc in the entire KH series. So I don't know whats gonna happen if they would still continue the franchise with a different story....

Has it been revealed whether or not the story will continue to follow Sora, or move onto a new protagonist after this "Xehanort Saga" concludes? I've long felt that the best thing for the series would be to move either very far into the past, or into the distant future, and take up the story of a character entirely unrelated to Sora and co. If Sora must be involved, I'd prefer to have him as an older mentor character, maybe even someone not identified as Sora right off the bat. I don't know, I just feel like this current arc is his "coming of age"/chance-to-be-the-hero story, and I don't have a whole lot of desire to follow him for the rest of his life possibly repeating the same series of events over and over.

If the series does pick up right after wherever KH III leaves off, with Sora as the continued protagonist, I have no idea what could be in store, or even what I'd want to see. I imagine it would be more of the same- some villain rising up to use Kingdom Hearts for some nefarious purpose, and Sora schooling him (or her) keyblade-style. *shrugs*

The logical direction for the series post KH III, given all of the build up and backstories from the series starting from KH II, would be to wind the timeline back and cover things from prior to the series thus far. The Keyblade War has been alluded to and developed as a backstory behind much of the action in the games. Kicking back in time and delving into the details of the Keyblade War would, after everything that's come up about it thus far, would be the most natural direction to take the series past KH III.

Honestly I can't imagine any good things in a post kh3 story which I think was confirmed would be Sora. Then again the current story isn't as grand either..hmm...
