Accept Sword Give Up Shield.
I don't think that Shield is useful. Beside, Aeroga is better than Guard.

 

I chose Sword and gave up Staff because I had no need for magic. But in KH2 I began to use magic more.

 

Sword,give up shield.The defense makes the beggining a little harder,but its worth it at the end when your attack is awesome.You can make it up with Defense ups anyway

 

accept staff, give up sword. who needs to hack and slash when you can set them on fire and watch them running around? i wanted scan, so i'd know how much i'd need to hit things before they hit me.

 

i accepted the staff and gave up the sword because i like magic and its better to have one defence/attack and one defence to make sure that you can protect yourself

 

I chose theSword and gave away the Shield... My main reason for taking the sword is that it's my favourite weapon throughout a game, I like being able to hit things with a sword then cast magic from afar because you don't feel all the action... Swords are just the best in my opinion, going up close to the monster at trying to beat it seems more fun in my opinion ^^
I gave up the shield because, I still do like magic so I didn't want to give it up... Mind you the only reason that I use magic is to cure myself during battle >.>, but still I'm not the type who likes to defend just attack so the shield isn't really ideal for me :3

The very first time I played it (i.e. when I first got it many years ago) it was

I didn't actually know that it had an affect on the gameplay at that age to be honest, so I just went for any random thing.

 

I accepted the sword and gave up the staff. I accepted the sword because having strength is vital considering 95% of the time, I always use physical attacks as opposed to magic. It's the same reason why I chose to lose the staff, because I think that it's very vital to have a good defence. I didn't want to leave any room for error, and since I don't use magic that much (in fact, hardly ever, but I do admit I'm using Ars Arcanum a lot more since the first Maleficent battle) I just thought it unnecessary to have the staff.

 

Kept the sword trashed the staff, who needs magic when you got brute force.
