This was a hit series by Alan Moore that changed the face of comic books forever. I have never read it, but yet simply by being a comic book fangirl I know the basic plot and main characters names. In 1986, Watchmen signalised the beginning of a new era of comics. For better and worse, grit and grimmy stories dominated the media for ten years. There is going to be a movie adaptation. Alan Moore does not like any screen adaptations of his work. Mr. Snyder adapted 300 for the screen, and is working on the movie.
