Was this meant to be!

Jenny was nearly passed out when they brought her to the E-tech labrotory. She had a splitting headache, like there were multiple hammers crushing her skull to pieces with every passing second. Jenny managed to open her eyes but the bright lights made her wince. Jenny gentley pushed herself up so she was sitting up against the wall. She looked at everybody with cold, lifeless eyes. 'Where am I?' She thought bitterly to herself. Jenny then dropped her head slowly and her blonde hair dropped to cover her face. Jenny then let out a soft, sad sigh.

 

Sean woke up in a white room. he felt the bump on his head. he winced at the pain he tried to remember what had happened but failed. then the voice came over the intercom and told them what had happened, and where they were.

NO!he thought to himself If I'm in here...what about Kat? and Dad? how will they know what happened? He became angry sulking in his own rage, but all this stopped when he saw his hand was on fire! "WHAAAAAA!" he yelled. but as his anger turned to fear his hand extinguished,
"What the hell was THAT?!?!" he yelled.

 

"... am Doctor Midori and I..."
Huh?
"Shuma-6 is a high unstable chemical... wipe out..."
Do what now?
Sandi felt her head starting to spin as she started to come to as she heard the speaker in the room finished saying on figuring out why the nine of us...
Wait, nine? Sandi thought to herself as she lifted her head up seeing that there was 8 other people on the room. She blinked a few times for her eyes to adjust to her surroundings seeing that there was only one door in the room that she was stuck in with these... other people.

Man, what did I do to get into a place like this? Sandi thought to herself as she heard a faint buzzing around her head as she looked down to the headphones resting on her neck. She pulled one of the ear muffs to hear something faint, but she could barely make out what it was. She assumed her iPod was still playing when the last time she turned it on, but she couldn't remember on when was the last time she was listening to it.
She patted her hands on her pockets able to feel her wallet in one, and her headphones cord sticking into the other pocket.
Sandi was about to go back to sleep, but she noticed that the brunette male on the other side of the room was shouting as his hand was on fire, and then the fire suddenly went down. "That was just a little weird," She finally said, not sure what else to say by this point.

 

Jenny lifted her head up a bit, stared blankly at the shouting male. She was confused as to why he was yelling, considering the fact her head was down. Jenny struggled and stood up. Like a baby deer after being born. She looked carefully at everyone. 'What happened?' She thought. 'What do they plan to do with us?' Jenny was shaking a bit, but unnoticably scared. 'Where is everyone else?' At that question, Jenny's face went literally white. She was frightened, and there was no easy way out of here.

 

Sean looked at the man who had come over too him. he had a sword on his hip. Was he some kind of martial artist? either way it didn't matter who he was, Sean just wanted to know why his hand had just caught fire.

"What the hell is going on?!?!" Wh-why did my hand just catch fire?!?!" he asked shakily. "I WANT OUT OF HERE!!!!" he yelled and a shot of fire came from his mouth. "WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?!?!"

 

Jenny shot her gaze at the male. "Quit screaming!" She screamed at him. That was the first time Jenny had ever said anything in 3 years. She was shocked, but just stood there staring at him with dark, cold, bitter eyes.

 

Sandi was about to comment to the brunette that was spitting out the fire from his mouth and the girl who happened to finally speak, but she knew that the words wanting to come off her tongue were going to be some type of snippy comments.
She bit on her tongue before she carefully spoke up, which wasn't any better than what was would of said.
"Will you just calm down for a second, both of you? If you keep it up, nothing good is going to come out of it right now," Sandi snapped as she pulled the iPod out from her pocket seeing that the screen was completely ruined. There was a few cracks in the screen and the letters were all scrambled up on the screen.
Tch, damn thing is busted for sure this time. Sandi thought to herself as she turned it off and slid the iPod back into her pocket and adjusted how she was sitting.

 

Sean slid to the floor and quietly went and had a panic attack. what had happened he couldn't even remember! and now he was locked in a room with eight other people and SPITTING FIRE! he wanted to get out, to see his girlfriend Kat, to see his Dad, who was sick in the hospital. this had to be by far the worst day of Sean's life.

 

Jenny gritted her teeth, but didnt say anything. 'Its useless.' She thought bitterly. She crossed her arms, and leaned against the wall and looked down. Jenny sighed and looked up wanting to apologize but realized she was 5 feet off the ground. Jenny pushed herself back into the wall and dropped. "Ah sh-!" She gasped under her breath holding her back. Jenny just sat there. Not making any sudden movements.

 

Sandi thought what the blonde man was saying made some sence of why they might be there, but not entirely making sense on why they could be feared. She can figure why anyone would be afraid of the panicking kid that is spitting out fire, but not on what else is there to fear from the rest of them.
"If it's true that we might possess something that they're afraid of, what could it be that can become dangero-" Sandi was cut off as she noticed the other girl was hovering in the air near the wall in the corner of her eye.
She couldn't believe her eyes on what was happening, maybe this... chemical they were supposedly involved with is making them hallucinate?

She was about to bring up another point but she stopped herself as she heard some buzzing noise coming from inside her headphones again. She pulled them off from her neck and looked at them to see if there was any wiring mishaps as she pulled out the other end of the headphones to see that the iPod was still turned off.
How weird, what's with this buzzing? Sandi thought as she pull her headphones over her ears before she started to hear voices. Voices she never heard of before, and didn't sound like if it was a song that was on her iPod.

 

Jenny was worried. 'Are they going to kill us?' She thought to herself. A weird tickle was in the back of Jenny's throat and she felt as if she was going to be sick. Jenny just sat there. Curled up in her corner. Waiting for something to free them.

 

"I-I don't know" stammered Sean. Every time i get angry or something, fire comes out!" and now we're being quarentined! this is the worst day ever!" Sean felt the breeze come off of the man. What's goin on, does he have some weird power as well? he thought to himself. Does that mean we all have weird powers?

 

Jenny stood up. She looked up at the ceiling window, determined. Jenny closed her eyes and had a sly grin on her face. 1 foot. She could feel herself lifting up, forgetting about gravity. 2 feet. She concentrated a lot harder. 4 feet. Jenny opened her eyes. 'Almost there.' She thought. 9 feet. At last, Jenny had went up to the rooms only windom and opened it. Jenny was real sly and sneaky so she crawled out of the window into the outside world. Jenny took a deep breath and smiled. When she looked up she saw the blank white ceiling. Just a dream. Nice.

 

Sandi put her headphones and iPod down when she noticed the blonde man addressing over to her.
"Sure, I can see what's wrong," She said trying to stay optimistic with the situation before she got up to her feet and went over to where the girl was sitting. She was a little nervous, but she needed to help her out, no matter what it took.

"Hey, um, so I know that you might be a little freaked out about your powers, but it doesn't mean that you should just cower in the corner like this." Sandi tried to reassure the girl as she didn't know how to talk with her, but she knew that if she really was sick, she should at least check on her since they're stuck like this.
"Are you feeling well at all, I mean... Were you ever sick before any of this?" Sandi asked trying to find the words to say as she put her hand on the girl's forehead, seeing that she was warm, but not burning up.

 

Jenny flinched as the girls hand touched her forehead. "I-I-Im fine." She managed to spit out. Jenny's eyes were a bright brown but they were filled with worry and pain. "I want to get out." She whispered to the girl, resting her head on her knees. Being curled up made Jenny feel more comfortable, but she couldnt be comfortable trapped in this room.

 

"What was your name again?" Sean asked the blonde man. "My name is Sean." he got up and held his hand out to shake. "Don't worry, I'm calm now, you don't have to worry about me burning you." Sean wondered why the otheres were still unconcious. why were only these four awake? had they received harsher wounds? would they be more powerful than the ones that were awake now?
