Valkyria Chronicles

Its a great game in concept. Combining 3rd person shooter with turn-based combat is a great idea. The only problem is that the storyline is way too hard. Its based in an alternate universe during a "Sort-of" WW2. The story writers based the story off the Nazi campaign and the European attempt to stop it. Except they tweaked certain parts. It's a fairly slow-moving game and it revolves around a nature-loving commander who is the leader of a small squad. You get to choose your squad members and upgrade equipment (I guess this is why it is under the genre of Action RPG). The true magic of the game starts when you get to Chapter 9 which takes a fair deal of effort to get to and even then it still seems to get a bit boring at times. Despite all of this I have to say that aI thought it was fairly enjoyable, The battle scenes are quite cool and it's fun to ride around in tanks and call for back-up. So all up I give it a 6.5/10
