It is said a few things can be done to create world peace. 1.) have a universal religion. 2.) become the same system of goverment. and final 3.) have a universal lauguage.

If we had a universal lauguage, it would bring all of us one step closer togeather and a step closer to world peace.

So what's your opion on this, should we or should we not?

As much as I hate my Spanish class, I don't think we should have a universal language. Getting rid of a language starts to get rid of that culture.

First things first, you mentioned one point twice. (The whole universal language thing.) I agree with Desert Warrior about the effect of losing language. Language is deeply intertwined in culture, and the two cannot be separated, try as one might. They belong to one another. Also, I think that culture is valuable--a unique expression of God's glory and creativity in that glory.

I think that unity is great--it would be nice if we could all understand one another. At the same time, I feel that this is not enough. We cannot stop the inevitable--what has been written. World peace is not going to come until Christ does. It's as simple as that. As stewards we should be stewards...peacemaking is good. But that isn't going to bring peace to a world that is destined to face great calamity. It is only the "beginning..." meaning that there is more to come.

And we couldn't all have the same form of government, because there is just too much controversy over the subject. Even if we all spoke the same language, we would still have varying opinions in politics.

    3 words
    NEW WORLD ORDER.
    1). Bad
    2). Bad
    3). BAD!

To attain peace on this hell we call earth, many must die because to achieve peace we must loose our identity. And without identity, about 99% of the people on earth would die...
these ideals Kairi Star are Communist and Satanic.
    Refrain from believing in them.

When the Canadian Government tried to make the French speak English, they rebelled because they didn't want to lose their culture. This was back in the 1800s

Agreed. This concept is growing into a huge bonfire because of New Age promotion of "ideals" such as Universalism. "Follow your heart," is not good advice. The heart can be deceiving. Thank you for mentioning the satanic bit.

First off, how can we have world peace when we there having the devil whispering in people's ears, having them rebelling against god's will. The perfect peace we can find is with god almighty. Also, there's no reason to change the languages. I would really hate it if they gotten rid of the japanese languages. Also, I don't think this would happen, but a war might start if certain languages were gotten rid of.

    But do not forget this!
If there was ever a threat against human kind as a whole, we would ALL come together like moths to the flame.
    Yes, I'm talking about Aliens.
If there was ever a mager threat to human kind, we would all come together, whther it be under one government or one flag, WE WOULD. And that really scares me....

Hrm. An interesting argument. I think that for the most part this (what Mythril Roxas just said) is true. [I personally think about the end times, and how many people of the earth will come together to attempt to defend themselves against the wrath of God (or something akin to that).]

However, I do not think that the true believers in God--those who worship Him in spirit and in truth, and who have the seal of God upon their heads--will join up with the rest of humanity if there ever was a threat to humankind as a whole. This is to say that we would still follow God and recognize that He is sovereign...

E for eloquency, my apologies. :D

To me, I don't quite see the Satanic part (Oh well...). But thinking about one universal language reminds me of a book I read. The book is 1984. The country the story takes place in has one language, and that country spans North America, South America, and England. Anyways, their language is getting smaller each year. That is one attempt to stop the thinking of individuals. Good book, although once you've gotten into the story, you'll hate the last four words of the book.

    1) In no way are you going to have a universal religion. As long as humans think differently, there will be no one religion. That is unless you make a religion so vague its believible.
    2) Governments are all doomed to fail at one point or another. The difference is how long. If there was a univeral government there would need to be peace before hand.
    3) -agrees with language and culture being intertwined-

You want peace, make sure there's one human on the planet. That's my opinion.

To make one religion and one language you would essentially have to TAKE those territories and bring them under control of the one government you speak of. That seems like a LOT of uneeded blood and death for a hope of peace.

Not to mention the amount of people that would rebel against this new government. This idea is really doomed to fail unless you possess some way to take away people's free will.

i dont think their is ever going to be peace on earth. there is always going to be sombody who wants to start a war for either their own pleaser or to obtain somthing they want or need. The world is full of conflict and always will be the sooner we come to aknowledge this the easier life will go.
