Trialling Points Systems

    Im currently trialling some new points and shop systems incase you're wondering about some of the changes to your user profiles. Please don't ask what these systems and points mean as I'm trialling them myself.

    Just thought I'd give you all a heads up.

    ok, i kinda like the new point system. It has made me realise in a simple way that i need to get more active on the site and i looks really cool!

    I believe we can customise the system to hand out rewards for various things. If we keep one of the points systems we will probably disable the rep system, as it's not reallly working for the site.

    I say we trash the rep system. It's not even working anyways. Just to point out though looking over that, somethings if you guys become desperate might make you want to spam, but if you guys spam to make this better then this should probaly be removed.

    Im gonna have to say while I like the system overall, is it possible to find one that doesn't award huge amounts of points based on post count?

    That just contradicts what has just been done to help stop spam, people will now spam to gain more Xp..... And what happened to ma custom comment >:O

    Don't mean to be a moaner, but I thought someone should point it out, and it's usually me anyway so I guess I'll just take the bullet xD

    Actually if you look I already did, plus I think you can still customise it. I need to go and check mine anyways, so.

    Scratch it, it's gone, well just give TD time, he's updating the entire site(I think) so just be patient.

    shadow: the actual amount of points given for each action can be tweaked by me. It's still new so im just seeing how it works and what settings would be optimal. After about a month I would put out a vote for whether we would like to keep it.

    Yes for those that have noticed, I have brought back standard titles. The goal going forward is to add a shop where you can buy custom titles.. Basically people have to work for the extra customisations.
