"You have three months, princess." she heard Helena laugh through the stormy air but she wasn't sure if that was just a mixture of that horrible thunder and her hallucinating or if it was some form of magic from the sea witch. Neither of which seemed very welcoming but then again nothing did at the moment. She didn't know how long she had been swiming trying to find some form of dry land that she now needed to survive but it seemed like forever. Talis was wasn't sure which way was up or down anymore. She grew up in the water and it was no problem to live in it before. Now the feeling of the salty cold water against her face was suffocating. She couldn't figure out how anyone could swim with these two skinny little things called legs even with the help of her arms but both pairs of limbs felt iron heavy. Her lungs hurt with every short breath she managed to take inbetween moments when the water would overtake her again. and her light blue hair in her face made it impossible to see. The waves were everywhere here on the surface and the lightning and thunder terrified her as it screamed across the surface of the water and struck the high waves which were throwing her in every which direction.
I'm going to die... she thought to herself hopelessly through the panic of the storm And then the hope of both worlds are finished! a drop of water slid down her cheek but it didn't make it completely down to her chin before the water overtook her again. The last thing she remembered was a sharp pain on her head as the waves threw her against something hard and then, sleep finally took over.

"Steady men! Careful." the cheif of police was saying as they pulled an unconsious woman from the rocks by the small island near Topell. There were really no residents on the island just a few people would visit it durring the day because of it's scenary and closeness to the ocean.
But on a man's early morning patrol of the shore, he thought he saw something in the water. At first he thought it was a piece of driftwood and nothing more but as he shined a flashlight he realized it was a woman!
Ever since 4 in the early morning, he and a couple of police men, and some locals were franticly trying to save the young woman but it was hard because she had a lot of injuries from the rocks so they didn't want to cause her more damage and her arm was caught underneith one of the rocks, which may be the leading cause she got stuck in the water in the first place. It was now seven o clock in the morning, they finally managed to pull her up onto the shore. The woman was very pale and her hair was an unusual color being an aquamarine collor of blue. She was very shabishly dressed in a swimsuit top of a strange fashon and a torn up piece of dirty white cloth had been hastily wrapped about her waist. She was laid out on the sand as soon as she was pulled from the water. "What the hell was she doing out there at four in the morning in the first place?" one person in the crowd asked. No one quite knew the answer for sure but the majority of the people were thinking that she must be a competitive swimmer and had gone out so early to be able to train in the open water instead of durring the day when there were so many people in the water as well.
The sun was raising from the horizon as a local man reached down to check her pulse. "She's alive barely. We should get her some professional help quickly does anyone have any idea who this woman is? Or does anyone have a cellphone that we can call an ambulence with?" menwhile he was tearing a piece of cloth from his sleeve off to tie around the wound on her head that was staning the sand rapidly.

"Uh, you can use mine." A figure said as he stepped out from the crowd and to the police. "Here you go, get back in one piece Johnny boy." The police man looked at him as he handed him the cellphone. "Hey! Aren't you..." But he was cut of short by Elwood. "Who cares who I am, get this lady an ambulance!" The police then started to dial and pad no more attention to elwood, who was wanted for wreckless driving in Topell. Elwood looked down at the women ass hed kneeled down. "Hm, this lady sure ain't any swimmer I've seen around here. I work this whole side of the ocean, and haven't seen any swimmer that looks like her before. She must either be a tourist, or a shippwrecked lass." Elwood said to the closet police officer. A siren could then be heard in the distance. The other officer handed Elwood his cellphone, and said, "Wow, that was fast for a Ambulance." Elwood stood up and shook the said off his legs. "That's because, there's a hospital 10 blocks that way rookie." Elwood watched as the ambulance pulled up to them, they loaded her up into. "If you don't mind, I'd like to go with her." He said to the paramedics. "Family?" He asked. Elwood hopped into the ambulance. "Yep, Brother." One of the officers began to object, but Elwood made clicking sound in his mouth as he closed the doors before the officer could tell the paramedic.

Marcus had just come in from another successful fishing trip. He was small time with a small vessel. Just enough room for him and one more person. He didn't get the largest catches, but he had the best quality and got the highest profits. He'd already saved enough to live a quite, lazy life alone, but he had to be doing something somewhere. Marcus could never stay still too long.

So here he was, sitting in the Ocean Grace Cafe. It was just after sunset, and the light was starting to wane over the horizon. The sky was a beautiful shade of orange and purple, mixing with the shining blue of the fading day. This was his favorite time to explore Topell, or at least eat at his favorite place.

Lance usually came by around this time, but not always. He'd stick around to see if he did.

"I wonder if I should've let Marcus know that I'd do things a little differently today." Lance thought to himself as he dived into the ocean. "Pity I don't have any nightvision goggles or something. 'Tis getting late. I should probably stay near the coast since it'll be dark soon." Lance swam up to the surface of the water, taking a breath of air as his head surfaced.

Marcus looked at his watch. It was already past 7 'o clock. Guess I'll just go on home. . . He got up to pay the check.

The waiter rung up the bill. Marcus came here at least every other day, so he knew some of the waiters and waitresses by name. This was Thomas. About fourty years old, he was getting some gray.

"That'll be $12.48 Marcus. How's the grub tonight?"

"Perfect as usual," He said, taking out a ten and a five. "The coffee could've been a bit stronger though." He gave over the money.

"Must be the new guy." Thomas sighed, handing Marcus his change. "He's a hard worker, just needs to get used to the work is all."

"I know it. Working tables is hard work."

"Definately. Guess I'll see ya back soon. And tell Lance to come see me! I have something for him!"

Marcus nodded as he went outside to his car. The sky was getting dark now, the stars shining through a blanket of night. He started the car, and began his hour long drive back home.

Elwood was walking down the hospital hall with a food tray, for his mysterious unconcious friend. He almost got lost and couldn't find his way to her room. He walked in and set the tray down on a table. The doctor came in with a nurse and had a boardclip in his hand. "So Doc how the little las going to do?" The Doctor reviewed what was on the board. "Oh there's nothing to worry about, she just was knocked unconcious and those rocks cut her up a bit, but she'll be fine. She should wake up anytime know." The Doctor put the clipboard down and looked back at Elwood. "So are you family?" He asked, Elwood looked at the little girl. What harm will it do. He thought, "Sure am, her Uncle. So don't you have somewhere to be Doc?" the Doctor didn't look to conviced, but as he began to object there was a call for him over the intercom. "Perfect time as usual." Ewlood said as the Doctor closed the door.

'Whats that noise... where am I?' Talise thought to herself. She couldn't see anything but darkness still but at least the air was calm but it was so empty and dry. She realized she must be dead but she tried to open her eyes anyway, they felt heavy or glued shut but she managed. She immediately regreted the desision when an imensely bright light burned into her eyes. "Ahhh.." she moaned, reaching up toward it to try to block it away a little. She wasn't use to direct light, it was hard to come by a couple hundred feet under the ocean after all. After a moment her eyes adjusted a little, just enough that she could see where she was at least even though her eyes still hurt. She looked around, seeing a white room that only enhanced that annoying light by the reflective walls. She realized that the light was comming from a hole in the wall near the metal bed she was sitting on so she avoided looking in that direction. Just then she saw that she wasn't alone. There was someone else in the room with her and not just anyone it was a human! The first human she had ever seen in person in her life. But why was it here? She wasn't sure what to say to it and her throat hurt from last nights panic anyway so she just stared at him, unsure what exactly to do besides be ready to throw something at him if he turned out to be here for bad reasons.

Elwood was looking at a magizine he had found on the table that was probably so old it was Jurrasic period. He was wearign sunglasses while readin it, even though it was in doors. Elwood notice that the patient woke up and was staring at him. "So your away little las, your awake sooner than I thought. You were afloat in the ocean and got stuck on some rocks. You were pretty cut up." Elwood shut the book and set it donw as he walked to the blinds and open them wide and let in the sunlight and to reveal all of the city. "The only reason why I'm here is for all the attention you've been getting. thought if I lied said you were related to me, I would get some of it too. Sure enough I have. My fishing business has rocketed high sky." Elwood picked up the food of the table he had gotton a little eariler and brought it over to her. He set it across her lap and return to seat he was readin the magizine in. "So What was a little girl like you doing out in the high seas? Do you have a name or would you prefer to call you by a nickname? Well my name is Elwood Blew. You don't have to tell me yours if you don't want."

Lance woke up in his bed. "Morning already? Ugh...." He sat up and rubbed his eyes. When he was more awake, he took a deep breath and sighed. "I'm so damn bored. I really need some more friends." He crawled out of his bed and got dressed. "What to do?" He left his house.

Talise looked down at the odd looking thing he had placed across her lap with a strange look on her face. What was this? A tray of somesort with this mushy looking white stuff, a kind of weed, and a sheet of something brown. A cup of water sat next to the plate and two odd looking objects with a round end and the other with three pointy ends. Was that supposed to be some kind of hairbrush?
She wasn't sure what to think of the thing so she just gently pushed it aside hoping she wasn't going to offend the human by doing so. "Oh, my name is Talise." she said, suprised at how weird it was to talk above land. "It's nice to meet you I suppose Mr. Blew."
