The Way Back ~ Actual Thread

Will srode through the large, ancient town almost as if he was strolling through a park. He had just appeared here and no people seemed to be either here or out. "I wonder if everyone's in their houses..." He said, turning a corner of the large city. This city was like a maze and he had gotten lost quickly but he found himself on a large stone road, looking right up to a large, crumbling castle. "Hmmm... maybe someone is here..." He wondered, striding purposefully towards the castle.

 

Argael leaned against the balcony of the Elven Castle. In the distance strode great warriors and hunters on the backs of horses and some of the men being half horses themselves. They were probably spying on one of the camp the Dragon King's henchmen had set up across the valley.

The Caelum Forest was damp of fresh blood from the ambush the night before. A bunch of rebels tried to fight off one of the camps set up in the area, and they were all brutally murdered. Fortunately, the knights of the kingdom slaughtered them and took down the camp.

Argael sat, bored, with nothing to do but hum softly to herself. She saw a boy on the other side of the courtyard and made her way out of the castle. He looked about her age and seemed somewhat lost.

She stepped out of the main gateway and lead herself to a tall log look-out that hovered above the forest, casting a magnificent shadow over the trees.
There was a small bench in the look-out where she sat. Thinking, with nothing better to do, even though she was a princess.

 

Will saw the girl and waved, running up to the log and jumping, grabbing onto the log with his hands. He climbed and swung, getting to the top in about a second. He at next to her and smiled. "Hello, do you know why the town is empty?" He asked her, noticing that the girl was very beautiful and had an air of importance. He then realized he hadn't introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Will, who are you?" He asked.

 

Argael quickly jumped up from her seat, being a little startled at first then curtsied.

"Oh, my name Argael, Princess Argael." She smiled and sat next to the boy, "I'm the heir to the Elven Kingdom. It's nice to meet you Will. Yes, I too have noticed the strange and eerie absence of most of the town. I hope nothing's wrong." Argael stroked her chin, and looked back at Will, "My father left the castle a few hours ago with his men. He wouldn't tell me the purpose, but he did look worried."

Argael stood up again and looked out at the horizon, "So, where do you come from Will, those ears of yours are so... round. They are obviously not of Elven genes." Argael asked curiously.

 

Wil rubbed his ears then looked up at her. "Your a princess? Wow... I bet that's amazing. Ummm... I'm from earth so I don't see many elfs I guess." He chuckled. He then looked around from the higher view and noticed how amazing the town looked. "I bet it's amazing to live here." He said. He then had an idea. "Do you want to show me around the town since I got lost last time?" He said grinning widely.

 

"Elves," Argael chuckled, "Elfs are fiendish little things, now it's almost like an insult when people get us mixed up." Argael look aggravated, then her face lightened up.

Argael giggled a little, "I was only kidding... but where is EARTH? I've sure never heard of it before."

 

Will shrugged. He wasn't sure how to get back. "That's the thing... I don't know how I got here..." He said, looking across the town. He remembered walking from school, placing his stuff in a chair in his room, reaching for one of his guitars in his room and then he was here. "I don't even know the way back..."

 

The Dragon King stood at the edge of his camp. He looked at his troops, training for battle. "This place will soon be mine, i can't believe those weaklings thought they could overcome my men, last night, this place was painted with blood. It calms my soul." He said. He smiled. He turned around and saw Grom, his chief shaman. He walked up to Grom "What's the report?" He asked


"We've spotted shadowy figures outside the camp, they may be spies, we've sent men to track them down." Grom replied.

 

"Come on." Argael smiled, reaching out her warm, pale hand, "I'm not supposed to leave the Castle, but I'll show you around."

 

Will smiled and said. "Well then, lead away your highness." He took her hand and jumped from the tree, landing neatly and catching her, setting her down lightly. "Where to first?" He asked her, looking down the long, stony lane.

Someone was lying down in the forest, with his eyes closed. He was sleeping. He was dreaming of white, a white light shining in his eye. Suddenly the light was so bright, that he couldn't stand having his eyes closed. He flickered his eyes open and saw a starry sky over a clear sky. It was beautiful but something was wrong. He looked around and saw trees overhanging around him. They looked as though their branches were trying to grab him. The boy stood up and walked away from the trees. His heart pounced as he heard something rustle behind him. He looked back and saw a girl with purple hair and bright green eyes.
"Hey, where are we?"

 

Wrath was in his human form laying by the Dark Waterfalls. He has his sword sticking into the ground. He was at the foot of the waterfalls by with his eyes closed. A few minutes later he opened his eyes and said "I should get going." He then stood up, grabbed his sword and started walking out of the area. "I wonder how the king is."

 

"He's found us! Don't let him get the stone back!" A voice yelled throughout a mercenary camp.

"Give it back." Somebody said. He wore an orange camp, had turquoise hair, and had strange lines on his face. "If you give it back now, I'll go peacefully."

"Die monster!" A mercenary yelled, charging at the blue-haired boy. He swung his sword down at the boy (Mark). Mark dodged the attack and kicked the guy away.

"Get him!" The leader of the mercenaries yelled. He had a strange blue stone in his hands. He ran away from the fight.

Mark saw the man run away. The man was running into a building. Mark ran after him. But instead of entering the building the same way the mercenary leader did, Mark instead jumped on a pile of wood and climbed into the building from the second floor.

The leader of the mercenaries hid in a room. He leaned against the wall, trying to catch his breath. "Good. I think I lost him." He then looked at the stone he had in his hands. "Gonna fetch a pretty penny with this thing. A dragonstone....." The light glittered through it.

The torches lighting the room suddenly were extinguished. There was silence, then the sound of shuffling. "Hey, let go of that stone." A voice said. The mercenary leader lit one of the torches up again, illuminating the room. He looked around.

Mark was standing there, the dragonstone in his hands. "I warned you." He said. The stone started to glow. Mark's body transformed into a dragon. As his body grew, the building broke apart to allow Mark to get out. The mercenary leader turned and ran away. Mark flew into the air. He opened his mouth. He breathed out white fire, incinerating the entire mercenary camp. He landed on the ground and transformed back into a human form. He ran off into the woods.

 

The boy looked at the girl with widened eyes. Why was she so angry? He let go of her hand and looked frustrated.
"I don't know why I was there. I can't remember anything..." he said with frustration but then stopped.
He just realized he was being rude himself. He should introduce himself.
"Sorry....my name's August...what's....HUH!?"
He suddenly saw a dragon in the skies.
"A DRAGON!?" he exclaimed with hysterics in his voice. He saw it land near them.

 

Dannagyathin(the Dragon King) looked up. "I'll search for them." He said. He focused his energy and turned into his dragon form. He flew up and started cercling the camp to see if he could find anything. He looked ahead and flew for the forest in search of any enemy activity.

 

"Well, we could always explore the Caelum Forest first," Argael said; she was kind of scared that the town was so empty, and she didn't trust the silence.

"How 'bout it? It's really cool!"

Argael broke out into a sweet melody that carried on through out the lonely kingdom.

Quickly, birds fluttered around her and Argael's animal companion went to her side.


"Will, I would like you to meet Nabuh! She smiled as Nabuh climbed on her shoulders.

Will saw the ferret and smiled. "Well hello Nabuh, how are you?" He asked, deciding to see how weird this world could get. He also said to Argeal. "Wherever you want to go is fine with me." He said. "I just want to look around and see what this place is like."
