Marcus stood on the balcony of his room, the view was of the forest he had spoken to Melody in a couple of months ago. Since neither had spoken to the other much. They still spent time together but it was mostly in silence. Marcus could tell that she had questions burning in her mind and at times regretted telling her the things he had. In the time that had passed since the attack the remaining villagers with the help of Marcus, Melody and there men rebuilt the essential buildings in the town and enough housing for them all. Much of the city remained in ruin and the scars of the previous battle still stood strong. The people of the city were still shaken from the attack and Marcus had set up regular border patrols as well as stationed more guards in the town. He knew that it was the right thing to do for the people but he couldn't help but feel glad about the fact that with more soldiers patrolling the area it would be less likely for one of there fathers messengers to infiltrate the castle. It could easily be said that the only person that Marcus truly trusted was Melody, but he couldn't help but feel worried that if it was her father she would leave to find him. Melody had always had a better relationship with their parents than Marcus had. And in truth Marcus couldn't blame them. He was always sick and bedridden, weak. She was perfect.

"Sire?" Called a voice from behind the door. "Come in Tinaki" Marcus said entering the room from the balcony. "Sire your supper is ready. Melody will be meeting you there." "Thank you Tinaki" Marcus said streaching his arms and walking towards the door. "Tinaki" Marcus said as the two began to walk down the hallway that lead to the stairs. "I have a feeling that another messenger will be coming tonight." What makes you so sure sire?". "The patterens of the prvious messengers suggest it." Marcus said matter of factly. "The timing seems inconsistant though. I would like you to personally look out for him." "And if I come across him sire?" Tinaki asked. " Firstly send a messanger to me, tell them the message is, 'It is tonight'. "And then sire?" "Subdue him, chase him down, whatever you have to do to prevent him from infiltrating the castle grounds. I want to know what message my father has for Melody." "I shall do my best sire" "I know you will." And with that Marcus and Tinaki seperated. Marcus entered the dining room to find Melody already sitting at the table. She didn't stand up and hug him as she usually would have, but instead smiled at him. Marcus returned the smile and sat down. Servents scurryied around placing food on the table and cutlury. Both Marcus and Melody served themselves once everyone had left and began eating in the same silence that had been around since the news.

Sorry this post took so long. I had hoped to sort it out when I first opened the thread but things happened and I couldn't get around to it. If your not sure what to post message me and hopefully I'll talk to you soon.
