So, let's talk about the environments of the various FF games. Which games had locations you wished you lived in? Which cities would you never want to set foot in? Do you prefer the more medieval-esque settings like featured in FF IX and the classic games, or do you like more futuristic locations like Esthar in FFVIII? World Map or no? And so on.

I prefer the games set in the typical fantasy/medieval worlds. I don't mind having some futuristic technology here and there, but I wouldn't like a game set wholly in a world resembling Esthar. My favorite world is that of FFIX. I loved the feel of the world map, and I liked how you could go by some cities and it would be raining and sunny in other locales. Once you went into a city, the settings were equally beautiful. I loved Burmecia in particular, which had a very old, gloomy look.

X and XII had lovely locations, too, thanks to their superior graphics, though excepting Ruined!Zanarkand, none of their cities are particular favorites of mine. I liked VII's Forgotten City, which I thought was pretty and sad, but I can't say any of the other locations in the game jump out at me.

I'll discuss more later when I'm not heading out the door. >_<
