The New Empire- Fall of Humanity OOC&SU

It is the year 3045, the Earth has made many technological advances since our current era. However, in this year, the Earth is doomed. Threat not only of an alien invasion, but the utter destruction of our planet are now more reasonable ideas rather than obscure fantasies. The governments top scientists were brought in, and were working as hard as they could, after the molecular level of Earth's core was said to be unstable. Most citizens of the New Empire already realized this, and had fled to our now-colonized moon. What is the New Empire, you might ask...Well, as the sun began to get constantly hotter, century by century, the people of Earth moved underground. Countries no longer mattered, and all Earth-beings were now united. In one huge Empire. An underground safe-haven, but at the same time a living nightmare for those who are not of high social ranking. Taxes are incredibly high, and living conditions underground are poor. But it is the only chance humans have for survival... If, you can call it that... But one day, as one of the New Empire's top scientists was working on his assigned project, he came across plans for a new colony. The government had known for decades of the imminent implosion of Earth. The plans were for Pluto. Apparently, the government had spent all these years getting the planet live-able, and selecting 3,000 men and women to be transported to the colony before Earth was destroyed. Later, the scientist was caught and killed. However, he left a message for a nephew of his, explaining the situation. His nephew got his family and friends together, but before they could sneak aboard the massive carrier ship, it was gone, leaving them on a doomed planet. No starships were left now. The government had been cruel enough to use a sonic blast device that fried the insides of all the remaining ships. After all that, though, the same nephew found his uncle's unfinished plans to stabilize the Earth's core. Now, he and a group of others, must use the plans to stabilize Earth...And survive.

Okay, so simple RP. Characters will be people helping with the plans to save Earth. Any age is acceptable, no mary-sues. Weapons will be simple items like crowbars or shovels, No Guns!!! Guns will appear eventually. This RP might start out boring at the start, but stick with it, and I intend to layer on the excitement hard.
