The New Dawn 6: The Final Stand

Adark corridor opened up on the outskirts of the town as Dante stepped out into the rain. The portal closed and he looked up as he walked, the crosses on his chest hitting each other with every step. Rain, so it seems even the sky is crying here. Heh, if this place stays like this then I might like it. Dante thought as he stopped looking up and instead looked straight ahead. He had some munny and some time to kill so he figured he'd get some food somewhere and walk around, see if the town was to his liking.

 

"B0dy tr4nsf3r c0mpl3t3. Th3t4, 0nl1n3,*" A machine far in the depths of Radiant Garden's laboratory rumbled, "Pr1m4ry 0bj3ct1v3: L0c4t3 H-s0urc3. S3c0nd4ry 0bj3ct1v3: 3l1m1n4t3 h34rtl3ss pr3s3nc3."

The humanoid robot detached itself from the wall, wires unlatching from various ports. The machine glowed with electrical energy, and began stomping it's way towards the stairs, entering the castle's depths.

A large heartless flew through several walls before hitting a large pipe hanging from the ceiling of one of the larger rooms, causing it to faceplant. Theta emerged from the holes and tromped over to the heartless and smashed it with a fist. A lone heart floated up as the machine gauged the situation.

"S0urc3 h4s n0t b33n f0und. 0ut3r w0rld must n33d t0 b3 3x4m1n3d, n0w." It observed.

Skye sat outside the main castle licking at frozen sea salt icecream treat. She looked out over Radiant Garden from the spot she sat at. She smiled as she finished the icecream. She looked at the stick.

"Winner" She read aloud and blinked a few times to comprehend what it said.

"Oh!" She jumped up exclaiming. "I can finally get the new struggle bat." She stated happily. The owner of the icecream shopped traveled every where and a town he visit known as Twilight Town has special swords known as struggle bats. He brought a bunch back for everybody officially bringing 'struggle' to Radiant Garden.

The owner was giving away a new struggle bat which Skye needed badly. Struggle hasn't been around long, but her current struggle bat was getting old. She grabbed the blue sword/ bat leaning against the railing and looked at it before running off.



Skye shortly returned later the new shiny struggle bat in her hand. The blue color was a lot bright now than before. She stood in the giant space at the castle and swung the bat around but stopped hearing an explosion and feeling the castle shake some.

Skye turned and looked her head towards a path that led to the basement of the castle, no one has gone to for years, it says though the Radiant Garden Restoration Comitee meet down there sometimes.

The castle used to belong to a great man known as Ansem the Wise, Skye knew this from reading books in the library, and if you didn't know that and lived in Radiant Garden, it was bad for you. Ansem the Wise pratically brought Radiant Garden togeather creating the happy humble little city.

 

A figure walked off the train of Twilight Town. He looked around at the world. HIs eyes were different colors. "Twilight Town... I always hated this world. Just perfectly in balance with the light and darkness. Too wishy-washy to pick a realm to stay in." The person put his hands in his pocket and began walking around. Every time he passed by somebody, he would mutter 'Light' or 'Dark.' He never made eye contact with anybody as he walked through the town.

 

"N0n h34rtl3ss l1f3f0rm d3t3ct3d. Sc4nn1ng." A voice echoed from the darkness of the tunnels. It emerged into the light in order to get a closer look at the new being detected. The large machine's feet hit the ground with heavy thuds as it approached her. It then announced, "C4t4l0gu3, us3r. Cl4ss1f1c4t10n, t33n4g3 f3m4l3. sp33ch 3ng4g3d."

The helmet portion of the head flashed for a moment before it looked down at her. It asked, "H3ll0 th3r3, l1ttl3 g1rl. h4v3 y0u s33n 4ny h34rtl3ss?"

 

Skye turned around and felt the ground shake more and held her new struggle bat. She was surprised to see what emerged from the castle, a machine, a computer, something. She stood there confused as it seemed to look over her and speeking to itself. She suddenly noticed it spoke to her asking her a question.

Skye got lost with the voice it spoke with but shook it away. It asked about the heartless. She has come accross them before and fortunately has escaped with her life and the Radiant Garden Restoration Comitee's super computer defense meachanism also helped with her escape.

She began to wonder if this machine or computer thing could be the super computer The Radiant Garden Restoration Comitee uses.

Skye shook her head and began to speak "No, I haven't seen any heartless around here, not recently." She spoke hoping not to confuse the computer.

 

As Dante wandered the town in the rain, he never smiled. Seems like the crying sky is the only thing I like here. These people, this town, even the world; all light, family and unity. Pathetic. This place seemd nice but it seems to be nothing but a worthless heap of trash. I won't stay here long. Dante thought as he neared the beach. He could see an island off in the distance and he couldn't explain it but he could tell there was power at the island. Maybe I should check it out before I leave.

 

Issac was sitting up on the clock tower. "I really hate this world." He muttered to himself. "Not only is the world itself perfectly between light and dark, but the number of people who are primarily light are the same as the ones who are dark. Maybe I should go back to Destiny Islands." He stood up. "After all, that world is something else. Xehanort was born there, Sora and Riku were born there. And that was the one world that remained light when everything else went to darkness." Issac slammed his fist into the wall. "All of them are complete idiots though. They had so many opportunities to get to Kingdom Hearts. They had a heart of pure light and a heart of pure darkness on the same side. They could've forged the X-Blade." Issac sighed.

"Perhaps I should search them out. But the only problem is that it is nearly impossible. What's his name sealed himself and the darkness all in the realm of darkness. And the other one, she's constantly wandering around. I don't think she's at any known world. I can't trace her unless I see her." Issac began to walk away. "Everybody is useless."

 

"Th3n th3 h3artl3ss pr0bl3m is int3rnal." Theta remarked, turning back towards the tunnel from whence he came. "I must r3turn back to-DANG3R! DANG3R!"

At those last words, the machine's head began flashing red, and he began backing away from the tunnel entrance. "H3artl3ss c0unt is rising imm3ns3ly. W3 must 3vacuat3, n0w!" It shouted, then picked the girl up and threw her across its shoulder. Theta immediately began dashing as fast as possible away from the location, covering much territory in only a few bounds.


Deep within the labs, thousands of heartless swarmed, more being beamed in by the computer every second.

 

"What the-?!" Skye exclaimed when the machine ran at her and picked her up.

"Hey, let go!" She exclaimed and struggled in the machine's grip. She was thrown over the shoulder of the machine as it ran through the streets. It was going very fast she was afraid to struggle free then to get hurt.

"Stop!" She yelled.

 

Theta only stopped when the duo reached the Bailey after much traversing the canyons and set the girl down on the ground. Then, it proceeded to slam the doors leading back and barricaded them with what materials and moveable objects were handy. Turning back to Skye, it boomed, "W3 must hurry! H3artl3ss will s00n 0v3rtake this plac3!"

The machine peered out the window back into the canyons, watching the black tide on the horizon. "Wh3r3 is th3 n3ar3st w0rld transp0rt?" Theta asked, turning to the girl again.
