The good old days

Is anyone else finding there old PS2 and reliving those awesome days of memory cards and super fun games? I know i am

 

Along with ps1 lol.
Reclaimed both from my closet last week.

 

Classic Spyro and Crash ftw! Still play them!

 

Sure, it's nostalgic to play PS1 and PS2 games, but as the development of games is continually going up in graphics and gameplay, I wouldn't really want to get stuck with the old games.

And old games were good for their original plots and characters that have influenced the story writers in their stories and characters. If they would come with as good stories nowadays, so many people wouldn't be sobbing about the older days with the "good ol' games".

As of recently, RPGs SUCK. The ones for the ps1/2 were so much better than the current generation thats its laughable.
And alot of them do have good story, its the experimentation with the console performance that messes with the whole game.
Like Resonance of fate, I find the story interesting as hell so far, but, i hate playing it because of the combat. *run like an idiot* *immediate slooooooooooooow motion* * blur effect cause its coooool*

 

I play the old games alot because we dont get games like Kingdom Hearts anymore Now its just CoD and FPS games. PLUS the online where if you just start and you are bad because well, you just started then people bash on you like there's no tomorrow. It's just that when i play games like KH it makes me smile and remember how i used to be and makes we want to go back to them days.

 

Im pretty good at shooters and i completely agree with this.
People who play games now a days are pretty douchey.

 

I find myself replaying the Sly Cooper series and KH 1,2, an re:chain. I also have been playing old snes and n64 games. The only time I'm on my xbox now, is to play sonic's ultimate genesis collection. Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever played Rocky Rodent or Congo's Caper for the snes?

 

hm....Old games, yes. True about the future that may not have games like KH.

 

N64 was one of my fav game consoles behind the PS2. I used to love conkers bad fur day and banjoo kazooie/tooi etc.

 

Speaking of old PS2 games, I like to play The Warriors, FF 10 and FF 12. Great games that should be ported to PS3 xD

 

FF10 looked amazing on the ps2. On ps3 i think we'd all go blind.

 

lol the extremely HD graphic scenes can barely run on my PS2. It'd be a lot better on PS3

 

It would be amazing o.o they need to make the moving smoother though haha

I'm one of those losers who only seem to play games for the PS2

I've never enjoyed the XBox, I tried playing a Fable game once and I couldn't get into it. All the citizens in a town I was in, trying to earn money doing blacksmith work might I add, didn't like me because I kept unleashing magic power and I didn't know how I kept doing it >_>

Has anyone here played Ty the Tasmanian Tiger ? I have a box of PS2 games and I found this one near the bottom. I remember playing it years ago with my brother when we were on vacation in Toronto ! Lovely memories. I was also playing the original .Hack// games (Infection, Mutation etc... I don't own GU but I would like to get them sometime) at the beginning of my summer holiday. Dark Cloud 2 is also epic. I have mad love for the PS2 and I always will.

Speaking of older systems, I'd like to get my Nintendo 64 from the basement sometime soon...
