Maybe this has been done before... anyway straight to the point.
What is your opinion on the death penalty? Me personally I think that the death penalty is wrong.
Most people who commit these Death worthy crimes have severe mental health problems so when they say they do not care about what they did, due to their mental problems, they do not know what they are saying so why not just lock them up for life and give them some help with psychologists or something?

If there was no death penalty, life sentences would just pile up, thus over crowding out prison system ( which it already is)
I dont agree with it unless it was some pretty strong terms, but at this point its kind of necessary.

But in many many ways the death penalty goes against the basic human right: to live life and the death penalty isn't always a good deterrence is it?

Does somebody deserve that right when they take away that right from others? Why should a killer remain alive when his victims weren't given that chance?

Basic human right or not, an individual looses that right when they willingly deprive others of that right. It is why we have a law enforcement system. Laws are made to protect the rights of people. When people are loosing that right, i.e. killed, the person who takes those rights away looses their own rights.

Deterring somebody who has done such a serious offense through death is pretty much necessary. As Luke implied, life sentences would pile up and it would be unnecessary to have such an overwhelming number of inmates in prison. Besides, I kind of believe in Hammurabi's Law (An eye for an eye), so it seems like a just punishment, wouldn't you think?

But in all seriousness, If someone is to die for such serious crimes, then let it be, It's also biblical upon my beliefs but I don't wanna get into all of that.
