The Calm Before the Storm (Rated M for Mature)

Hope examined herself in the mirror one more time. She had never worn such a pretty dress in her life and Angel helped her with her hair and makeup. She had to admit she thought she looked pretty . Angel's face appeared over her sholder in the mirror she was smiling as she fussed with her sister's veil a little before deciding it was perfect. "Hope you look like a princess." she avoided using the phrase 'like an angel' because it sounded weird comming from her.

Hope smiled as she touched the tiara thingy on her head "... I wont argue." she said with a laugh. She got a little more serious though "... you know sis... I always thought you would be the one to get married before me."

Angel was suprised "Why do you say that?"

Hope shook her head "I... i dont know heever mind it was kind of a dumb thing to say."

Angel sighed but wouldnt let Hope change the subject "Really I want to know."

Hope shrugged "Its just that you're a lot prettier then me and You and Tom havent ever had even an argument in the slightest bit..."

Angel glared "Dont go there this is your day and you should be excited. Dont let your nerves get the best of you."

Hope laughed "ok ok I promise." she said with a laugh.

Angel nodded and then went back to pinning her last strand of hair into place. Hope and Jamie had picked Red and Silver as their wedding colors so Angel, being the maid of honor was wearing a red satin dress that she felt a little rediculous in. Her hair was half pinned up and curled so that some of her hair hung down at its usual length.

Hope smiled "You look beautiful too." she commented.

Angel laughed "Hey I'm not the princess of the day you are. Not even angels can hold a candle to you today. And anyway you better hurry because Jamie is going to be waiting for you at the other end of the aisle in ten minutes." she giggled when Hope blushed and then walked out of the room leaving HOpe alone for her last ten minutes of unmarried life.

 

Angel was waiting outside the door for Hope to come then the ceremony would start. She was so excited for Hope she was bouncing slightly on her toes though she made herself settle down because her high heels were making loud noises on the hardwood floor of the halls. Hope walked up behind her, the layers of her skirt were brushing against eachother but they didnt make any noise at all. She was walking a little clumsily but Angel was use to it, knowing about an injury Hope had taken to her knee when she was a child that always made her walk witha slight limp. Angel had helped Hope chose a pair of flat heeled shoes due to the fact that Hope wasnt very good at walking in hig heels. Angel smiled "You ready?" she whispered.

Hope nodded though she looked really nervous but really excited and anxious at the same time.

Angel giggled "Good cause you have two minutes left." she said as she reached up and adjusted a strand of hair away from Hope's face.

 

Angel checked her watch as teh music started and Jasmine and Jacob started walking down the aisle. When it was Hope's turn to walk she didn't move.

Angel laughed "Hope Jamie's waiting for you DOWN THERE. Silly girl you cant get married all the way out here in the hall." she coaxed trying to get Hope to calm down a little.

HOpe laughed softly "I'm not freaking out you're stepping on my veil." she said teasingly as Angel looked down to see she actually wasn't "You're so gullible it's cute." Hope started walking again befoer Angel could respond. Hope walked up the altar as gracefully as she possibly could and Angel made her way quickly and quietly to stand next to the Tom and Jesse.

 

Hope bluhed but then spoke her vows a little quietly "...Jamie theres really nothing I could say that would show how much I love you then what we've already been through together. Through all the tears, hate, pain, and loss you and I managed to keep the faith through our love and I've learned now that that cannot be broken not by an army of one thousand false gods. I love you." was all she said.

Angel felt like such a baby when she started crying, trying to suck it up so she didnt look like a complete fool but she was very happy for Hope and for everyone else how they all got their shot at a normal life.

 

Angel realized she was holding her breath as she waited for her sister to give her answer. She smiled.

Hope had tears in her eyes "...I do." she said finally after a long pause that she knew probably scared Jamie.
