As you look up at the therapist he pours a drink from a bottle of brandy on the shelf, the light hitting it giving it an inhumane glow that chills you to the bone. "So what you sit here telling me is that you've never been to this town?" He asks coldly, almost uncaring as he sips his glass, the liquid casting the same errie glow from the bottle onto his face, making your mind flash back to something grotesque, something you could have sworn you've never seen in your life... As the therapist sets his drink back down he lifts a file, the paper ruffling with an odd sound, almost like the howling wind in a snow storm. "Because it says in here... hmmm... let's see... It says your name, which I'm pretty sure you know. It shows that you grew up in Silent Hill and went to Midwich High here in town, but we'll get to that." He says, tossing the file next to the drink, the glow seeming to start to envelop everything in the room. Your mind starts to wander and the therapist's voice grows distant. "Let's start with this... What do you remember about Silent Hill?"

Will drove down the highway, fog surrounding his car as it rumbled ahead. He shoock his head lightly to shake a few thoughts from his head as he started to approach the state line. He had decided yesterday that he had dodged around the issue for too long, so he now was deciding to go back to Silent Hill. As the car rolled across the state line he reached over to the glove box, opening it and drawing out a 9mm pistol. As he set the pistol on the dashboard the glow from the car and the glovebox gave the pistol a rusted, kind of twisted look. As the glow flashed in front of his eyes his mind replayed an image buried eleven years ago. He saw a car, bloodied and curned, with the same kind of weird, otherworldly look. But then headlights popped in front of Will, staring him down like a frightened animal, making him swerve to the side. He closed the glovebox and breathed, regaining control on his pshyce and the car. As he shook his head and the memory cleared he breathed, knowing he had a very interesting visit ahead of him.

 

Will slowly pulled up as he saw a car and a man standing near the cliffs by Toluca Lake. He grabbed the pistol from the dashboard and stepped out, putting the pistol in the back of his pants before striding towards the man. "Car troubles?" Will asked, striding up to the side of the man, looking down at the lake. "God, it's been almost ten years since I've seen this lake..." He breathed, looking down into the darkness that was known as Toluca Lake. "You know this is what separates Shephard's Glen and Silent Hill?" He said, going onto a small rant telling this stranger what he probably knew. Almost noone came to Silent Hill without a reason.

 

Will looked back up at the man when he mentioned someone jumping off the cliff. "Yeah... I was here once for the funeral for my aunt, Lisa Garland. The next day... something in the town killed my parents..." He said, kind of detached from the subject. "And it's fine, I'm heading in anyway. So what brings you to Silent Hill?" He asked the man, starting back towards his car. He withdrew the pistol and flicked the safety on, setting it back on the dashboard of his car.

 

Will just shook his head, knowing the town was already playing tricks with his head. "I carry it for protection, and it wasn't animals... you'll understand once we get there. And besides, I told you why I'm here, and giving you a lift. The least you could do is tell me what your doing heading towards an abandoned town in the middle of nowhere?" He said, leaving the gun on the dash while starting the car back up.

 

Will eyed him, knowing he was hiding an alterior motive. But Will couldn't care less. "Far as I can remember. Last time I was here it looked the same as it does now, but there were at least a few people back then. But it was ten years ago and I saw some weird things... " Will said, pulling away from the curb and starting towards the path down to Silent Hill. "But like I said, there's always been weird things going on there. Religious cults and the like..." Will said, turning the corner and pulling off the highway.

 

Will just shook his head. "I dunno what all happened, but when I saw my parent's car the day after the funeral it looked like had been there for years, claw marks and blood smeared over the rusted carcass. Then there was a message that says 'everyone comes back, no matter how thin the link' smeared on the trunk in blood." He said, starting to take a left down a long road. This road led into and straight through the town.

 

Will looked behind them as he slammed on the brakes. "Where the hell did the road go?" He asked, stopping the car and stepping out. He grabbed the pistol from the dash and put it into his belt. "I guess we could either walk or take the car from here, your choice." He said to the other guy. He looked around and noticed the town seemed more decrepid since he last was here.

 

Will shrugged, looking over at the guy. "I got a knife on me, and this pistol. That's about it unless you want the tire wrench in the back. But I'm kinda touchy about the knife and pistol. Here, let me get it..." He said, reaching in and popping the trunk. Once the trunk was opened Will went to the trunk and pulled out what looked like a large pipe but was a tire wrench. "Here, it's better than nothing." He said, tossing the man the wrench. "I'm Will by the way. I don't believe I ever caught your name."

 

Will chuckled at the sound of that name. "Ah Mason, I haven't heard that name in a long time. You got a relative named Harry?" Will asked, looking over at Jack. "Especially if he mentoned a Lisa Garland?" Will said, lifting his hand and catching the snowflake. "And your right, it's not snow, it seems to be ash." He said, crushing it in his palm. "And the best place I would know to go is my grandfather's summer cabin on the edge of Toluca Lake. We may be able to find some answers there." He said.

 

Will kind of grimaced when he asked what happened to his aunt. The reason was not even Will knew. He just knew she died. "Your question is why I'm here. My name is Will Garland Johnson. Lisa was my aunt and I have no idea how or why she died, all I know is my parents said that this... this town caused it." He barked, anger flooding into his voice. For some reason he was angry about it yet he never knew her. "And all I know is this town will trap anyone in it until they face their fears, their nightmares. So I guess we're it's next victims." He said, looking over at Jack.
