"Attention students, welcome to a new and exciting year here at All Star High School, to the new freshmen, welcome to the high school, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful year here! Sophmores, congrats, you're no longer freshmen and you survived your first year here at All Star Highschool. Juniors, I really have nothing to say to you. Seniors, this is our final year, lets do this Stars!"

The teenage boy, obviously, a senior's voice announced over the intercom. He was asked by Principle Harvath to make the morning announcements because nobody else did. All this student had to do was read what the principle had written down. "Attention students, welcome to a new and exciting year here at All Star High School" was about word to word what was on the script provided to the students.

"Mr. Johns, I do believe that is not what Mr. Harvath gave you to read!" The assistant principle, Ms. Baker, came storming in.

'Finally, she's off the phone, I'm sure speaking to husband number 11.' The student, Mr. Johns stated rolling his eyes.

"Matt, read it properly." She stated before leaving.

"For lunch is mystery meat 1, mystery mush 2, and dog shit 3." Matt stated before Principle Harvath came storming in mad, "Also special shout out to Des Armstrong, you're still in my Destiny." with that being said Matt quickly left.

Standing at her locker, a young woman stood ready to start the day off, it was her first day of senior year. The year which would be her best yet. The announcements came on in which the girl rolled her eyes hearing the voice knowing who exactly who they belonged to, Matt Johns.

The quarterback, pitcher, vice president at the school. Senior surprisingly though he should have failed junior year just like he did his sophmore year. The student also liked her and a day didn't go by without her being annoyingly reminded about the "love he had for her".

"Special shout out to Des Armstrong-" Matt started.

'Oh boy...' The girl, Des, thought to herself.

"You're still in my Destiny..." Matt finished with the sounds of him running out, obviously he was caught.

"For lunch there will be turkey, clam chowder, and roast beef. Attention all band members, despite the rumour, band is not cancelled after school today. Student Council Freshmen Rep Assembly is this morning. Despite your schedule the lunches are as followed, Freshmen your lunch is at 11-11:30. Sophmores, 11:30-12, Juniors, 12-12:30, and Seniors, 12:30-1. Freshmen and possible new students, if you're having any problems with your schedule please stop down at the guidance office and Mrs. Kilm will get you all sort out." The regular principle's voice, Mr. Harvath announced.

Des smiled before closing her locker door and checking her phone seeing a message from none other, Matt, though his contact name was Jack-Ass, a contact name Des's cousin created for him, though Des thought it was sort of rude, she thought it was well suited for him.

'Hear shout out?' The text read. Des rolled her eyes. Des still never figured out how he got her number last year.

'Giv up, Mat' She replied back.

'stil luv ya' he replied. She rolled her eyes and put the phone away.

One thing about high school, it has good adventures, many lessons, drama, tragedy, but most of all it's a quest to get to the end, to graduation. This the students of All Star High School, the senior students, the class of 2011.

Will strode through the hallways, headphones blaring loud music to block out the loud obnoxiousness of all the jocks in the school. As he shofted the weight of the bags on his shoulders he felt his drumsticks click in his back pocket and the guitar on his back slide to a more comfortable position. As he strode through he finally pulled one earphone out as he walked through the crowds. He had never been really messed with by the jocks but they had made fun of him for being a geed and nerd as they called it. "As if... music will take me farther than they ever will..." He grunted to himself, turning down the next hallway and seeing one of his few friends and drum major in the band, Des. "Morning..." He called as he passed her.

Matthew stood at his lcker trying to review what he heard on the anoucements especially the one with Matt. "Alright he is going to get a talk to that bastard of jock, abusing his powers" He sais when he noticed that his locker was right next to Des's. "Well hello Des our lockers are now close to each other do you wanna know more about me as i want to know more about cause you seem well mannered. I would want to ask you something but now he timing is not right" Matthew said getting his gym cloths and other materials he might need and heeded towards the gymnaisum.

"Dammit!" Leah ran down the hallway, unzipping her jacket and pulling off her bookbag at the same time. She was late, on the first day, and it was all her mother's fault. Her mom took forever in the shower, making Leah miss the bus, and forcing her to bike to school since her mother was unable to give her a ride. Leah only caught the last bit of the morning announcements which let her know that first period hadn't started yet. She threw her backpack and belongings into her locker, immediately grabbed her gym uniform and booked it to the locker room.

"Attention students, welcome to a new and exciting year here at All Star High School."

Ian Vale released a sigh of both annoyance and amusement when the morning announcements called through the crowded hallways. Matt Johns' voice was the last thing that he wanted hear first thing in the morning, especially on the first day back. At the same time, it was amusing to know that Matt was probably making a fool of himself. "Such a great summer, wasted by one person," he joked to Kayla as they made their way through the school's main lobby. He looked back to his half sister, seeing, to his satisfaction that she found his comment funny enough for a smile. "Well," he said to her as they came to a split in the hallway, leading down two different wings. "Until this afternoon?"

"Yeah bro," Kayla said as the two of them exchanged their own version of the overplayed fist pound. "Lay down some beats."

The two gave each other their parting good-byes, and departed down their proper hallways, Kayla down towards the wing where the junior class' lockers were lined, and Ian down the wing of senior class locker space. Making his way quickly to his locker, he heard the true announcements spoken by Mr. Harvath, noting that the band rehearsal hadn't in fact been canceled. Other than that, there wasn't much of interest to him in the rest of the announcements, most of it pertaining either to information he already knew, and the rest for underclassmen. The way to his locker also gave him the chance to give greeting to several of his classmates, mostly other people from the marching band, in which he was a member of the drumline; he spotted out the drum major, Destiny Armstrong, but as it was, she was a bit crowded around at her locker, prompting him to give her a casual salute in passing to his locker a few paces down the hall.

When he arrived at the locker, there was only one thought running through his head: Just hope Matt Johns isn't gonna be my neighbor this year. Don't know how I'd survive with that one. Shrugging the thought off for the moment, he pulled the locker door open, and quickly dropped his belongings inside. The few things he was left with were his schedule, which he'd need to keep a check on throughout the day, and small gym bag carrying his change of clothing for after class (gym was first on his schedule, that much he knew, so he had dressed for it before getting in). Just a few minutes, he thought as he made sure his possessions fit well within the locker. And the greatest year of my life thus far begins!

Marissa was currently sitting on one of the benchs in the hallway listening to her iPod, with sketchbook in hand, and watching the students converse amongst themselves. She slowly brought her mechanical pencil over a line she had previously made and began to darken it followed by a little shading. A little while ago she had met up with her friends and they had hung out around the entrance of the school, they claimed it was warmer outside than it was inside, and they were right. Why the principal thought it was so necessary to keep the damn school freezing was as good as anyone else's guess. Shortly after meeting up with them, she had a sudden urge for some "me time" so she said her goodbyes and sought out a place she could just relax but still be "in the loop" in case a fight broke out or if it was time to go to her next class.
As she began adding and tracing over more lines, she heard a weird background noise that was invading her perfect sanctum of music. Slightly annoyed, she took out one of her ear buds and quickly discovered that the intrusion was caused by the start of the morning announcements. Marissa sighed to herself as she knew that it was time to go. Quickly placing her things in her bookbag and putting the ear bud back in but turning off the music, she immediately made a b-line for her locker, laughing along the way when she heard what Matt Johns had said.
Upon reaching her locker, she opened it and pulled out her gym clothes and slammed the locker door shut, making sure to turn the dial before she left so as to make it close to impossible to get in. She turned around and began her journey towards the gym while pulling her phone out to check out the time.

"Hm, 5 minutes, plenty of time" she mumbled to herself as she slowed her pace, turned her music back on, and allowed herself to be lost in the sea of students.

  7. Pat was excited, he was a senior at last! He went to his locker and listened to announcements. When he heard Matt's shout out to Des he couldn't contain his laughter. "When will that kid finally realize Des doesn't like him." He thought about evil things he could do to the jock but decided against it. "If I don't act mature then Des won't love me either. Though I doubt someone as popular as Des would fall for a low class artist like me." He sighed and got his things ready for his first class.

Zak ran through the front door holding his skateboard. He found his locker and shoved the board and his backpack in it. He then heard the announcments. "Yup senior year, this is either gonna suck or... BLOW OUR FRIKIN MINDS AWAY!" He thought while taking out his gym bag, while looking at his schedule. He saw Destiny Armstrong stride down the halls with an annoyed face. That's when he remebered the shout out from Matt. "Hmph..." he thought as replayed the corny shout out in his head. He started walking towards the gym, anxious to see what sport they would play first, hoping it would be baseball.

  9. Pat entered the locker room and didn't say a word to anyone, Rey was yelling at him to do something to Matt if he wanted Des for himself. "You know I'm not that kind of person Rey." Pat whispered. "Yeah well I am, and if you don't do something, then I will!" And with that Rey returned to a resting state deep within Pat. "What am I going to do? If Rey does something I might get expelled, and Des will never love me, or like me for that matter." Holding back his tears, he changed into his gym clothes and exited the locker room.

Zak walked through the gym doors and inhaled. "Ahhh... the sweat, pain, and tears of the gym!" he said cheerfully and sarcastically. He jogged across the basketball court into the Men's locker room, even though some of the freshmen still looked like little boys. He walked in got changed, and sprinted back to the gym and looked at the teacher. He was early, like he was to most his classes.

"How are you today Mr. Williams?" Zak asked him.

"Fine. Early as always huh?" the teacher responded.

"That's the way I like it sir!" Zak replied sitting on the floor legs straight out. He inhaled again, and looked towards the door to see more students coming in.

Des saw Z and she waved to him before smiling at Will and turned to Mathew though everyone of his closest friends called him Jack.

"Hi, Jack, and I guess so." she shrugged potionin the drawstring gym bag better on her shoulder.

"Senior year, finally, huh? Well I'll see you later, got to get to gym." She stated walking down the hall and turned the corner to be confronted by none other than Matt. She rolled her eyes.

"Hey babe" He stated walking up next to her.

"What do you want Matt?" Des said annoyed. He grinned at her and put his arm around her shoulder, which she answered by pushing his arm off.

"Aww, baby." they both stopped in front of the girl locker room.

"Good bye, Matt." She stated walking in and grabbing a gym locker.

Just as Ian was finishing with the situating of his belongings, fitting everything snug into the relatively inadequate space, the sound of the warning bell rang through the school. As always, it took a subliminal trance-like effect on the student body, which, oblivious to the fact, started walking down to wherever their first class happened to be. Ian, being wired in essentially the same way as the rest of his schoolmates, gave his locker a light slam shut, and proceeded to his first destination for the day. He had five minutes to get from the senior hallway to the gymnasium; in theory, he could get there in two, or maybe even one if he walked fast, or braved to run through the halls against the school rules.

But as he had learned in his first days at the school, the hopes of anyone ever making good time through the school halls during passing periods was a misplaced one. Everyone from young freshmen timidly moving through the halls, to the sophomores trying hard to make them feel as intimidated as they were made to feel, to the juniors trying to hit on the hot senior they thought they could get with and become a legend, to the seniors themselves, most of whom didn't really care enough to try anymore, all offered themselves as obstructions to the people that just wanted to get from point A to point B. So Ian's path was riddled with the small frames tripping newbies and the occasional social blockade that manifested the moment a group of friends just so happened to meet on the way to class.

Just as estimated, he found himself passing through the gymnasium doors after about five minutes of weaving in and out of the shifting seas of people. He pleased to find that he had arrived just in time to see his morning annoyances replaced entirely by satisfaction. Just as he entered the gym, he heard two familiar voices: those of Destiny Armstrong, and none other than Matt Johns. And his timing was just right, so as to see Des shut Matt down with a simple "goodbye" and walk into the girl's locker room. He couldn't help but smile at how the stereotypes of high school life were being casually defied by their generations. It was just too funny to think about sometimes, but it was better than not being funny enough.

Falling under the influence of this amusement, he called to Matt from across the gym, "sure have a way with the women there buddy. Gotta tell me your secret some time," giving him a sarcastic compliment before nonchalantly entering the boys' locker room. His entertained disposition maintained itself as he made his way into the midst of the rows of gym lockers, clean for the first, and only time they would be all year. Chuckling a bit he tossed his change of clothes into one of the lockers, sat down on a bench in the middle of the aisle. There were still a few minutes to spare before Mr. Williams would call the "ladies" and the "ladies" out from the locker rooms. And in any case, he wanted to see how Matt would react to his comment.

((Just a friendly reminder: as mentioned in my character sheet, this, the first day of school, is Ian's 18th b-day. Needless to say I've had him forget, as I have done)).

Leah entered the girl's locker room and got changed into her gym uniform. She saw some girls she was aquainted with including Des getting changed as well. She said "hello" to everyone and joined in the typical "How was your summer?" banter. Except this past summer was different, it was the last summer they would have as high school students, the summer before college would be like no other summer before it, but that's still pretty far in the future Leah thought, no sense in thinking about it now. Leah locked up her belongings and proceeded into the actual gymnasium to hear what the teacher had in store for the class today.

Will slammed his locker shut as he slung his gym bag over his shoulder and headed towards the gym. He slowly strode towards the gym as the bell rattled loudly above him. "Oh god, that's another lap around the track for that." He chuckled, turning down the hallway towards the gym. He was always late to this class, and sometimes didn't even show because he didn't feel like dealing with the teacher. As he strode into the room he grinned at the teacher. "Morning Teach..." He said, striding right past him. The teacher looked at him and opened his mouth to speak but Will spoke before him. "I know, three laps around the gym as soon as possible." He said, entering the locker room.

Marissa decided to slow down her pace and just enjoy the walk to the gym, she wasn't in any hurry. When she appeared at the gym entrance, she was greeted by none other than coach Williams. He was telling off some guys who had decided not to dress out but none of em were really listening. Growing frustrated at the realization he was just arguing with brick walls, he dismissed them to do laps. Mumbling under his breath, he turned around and gave an involuntary screech which came out like some gargling nose.

"Gah, don't do that!!", he yelled

Marissa just laughed as she removed her ear buds and placed them in the pockets of her jacket.

"Anyways, your late and you know what that means?" he asked with a knowing smile.

"3 laps around te gym, yeah I know" Marissa answered, returning the smile.

"Well hurry up and get changed and do those laps. I'm about to start class"

Marissa responded with a slight nod and made her into the girls locker room. To say that Marissa was excited about gym was an understatement, she was pumped!! She absolutely loved the class. It let her jump around and act like one her favorite Anime characters and for some odd reason, the physical exertion always helped give birth to new ideas for her art and she wasn't complaining.*She quickly changed and locked her stuff up in the gym locker, and proceeded to the gym to begin her laps.

"Wonder what were doing today", she mumbled to herself as she completed her first lap.

  17. Pat was cracking up when he saw Des shut down Matt and fell on the floor laughing when he heard Ian's comment. He slowly regained his composure and walked over to Ian. "Hey Ian nice comment back there, if Matt comes after you find me. I'll be happy to put him in his place." He paused for a moment before continuing, "Also, if you could meet me after last period near the front entrance to the school we'll talk more then." With that Pat walked over and sat against the wall waiting for class to start.

"Hey band geek, how's those babes, right you don't got any." Matt stated shouldering Ian when walking to his locker near the other jocks. Giving high fives for the morning announcements.

Des got changed into her gym clothes, black capri sweats and white basketball rec shirt from her sophmore year when she didn't do the school basketball team. Her last name was in the big bold blue sport letters. She pulled her hair back and walked out into the gym doing a jog just to warm up, not running like late students or other students who upset coach Williams.

Coach Williams was one of two coaches for the high school. Needless to say All Star High School is cheap. Coach Williams is in charge of all the male sports, Coach Walton, the middle school gym teacher was in charge of the girl sports.

Coach Williams walked over to the marker board wheeled in the gym for gym classes. It stated warm up, stretches, and class activity listed on it.

Warm Up= Light jog 5 laps around gym
    Stretch= Dynamic Stretches
Activity= Mile Prep- Running and Breathing

"Hey Ian nice comment back there, if Matt comes after you find me. I'll be happy to put him in his place."

Ian looked around the resonant locker room for the source of the words. After a few seconds his eyes fell onto a smaller, younger looking kid that he knew only by face, but to no greater extent. He seemed sincere, and it was a good feeling to know at least someone in the locker room was well on his side. Outside of any of that though, he wasn't too sure of how to size the kid up. He seemed convinced that he could take Matt if he started to pull something, despite being as scrawny as he seemed to be (and the fact that the locker room was filled with a fair jock population. But then again, he figured that there was more to someone's ability to deck the guy in front of them than just their size and build. For all he knew, the kid was a master at Kung Fu or something. So he was either talking big, or really did have some sort of skill to apply to a violent situation.

"Also, if you could meet me after last period near the front entrance to the school we'll talk more then."

For no more than two seconds, Ian stared after the boy as he disappeared behind another row of lockers. Getting up from the bench, the only thought that passed through his head was: what a strange child. Calmly, he proceeded to start relaxing his body for what he was sure would be a rough workout from Mr. Williams. He made to leave the locker room, but a sudden weight upon his shoulder proved a deterrent. At first, he wasn't too sure what it was that had pressed against him, but that mystery was soon solved by light, mocking voice in his ear, spoken well above a whisper. As soon as he heard who it was, he cracked into a slight grin; it was exactly how he had hoped for.

"Hey band geek, how's those babes, right you don't got any."

Ian nodded his head casually and gently stroked his goatee with his right hand as though he were simply agreeing to a point made in a cafeteria conversation. "I have to admit you do have a point there," he said just as casually, and phoning a sincere admission of defeat. "But," he continued, taking on a more mocking tone, "I like to look on the bright side and remind myself that I'm not getting shot down by that one girl that's wise to the game." In a gentle motion, he slid his shoulder out from under Matt's arm, and proceeded to shoulder him. He began to speak, maintaining his air of mockery, as well as an oddly philosophical one.

"Besides, I'm pretty sure if I tried hard enough like you, flexed a few muscles like Arnold, beat my chest like King Kong, I'd be wowing the hoes in no time. I mean, how hard is to be narcissistic?" Leaving Matt with a light pat on the back, and a "you have fun now," sentiment, he left the locker room. The first thing he saw there was the large whiteboard, upon which the itinerary for the day's class was written. He looked Mr. Williams as he finished, giving him his rare glance of disappointment. "We used to have fun in here Coach," he said.

"There'll be time for fun later," Mr. Williams said. "But for now, get those legs moving Little Vale."

As soon Mr. Williams said "Little Vale," Ian knew well and good to keep his tongue held in. Williams had had both of Ian's older brothers in his time teaching, and had always called him "Little Vale" when Ian was in a troubling spot, or excelling in something in gym. Since Ian knew well enough that he wasn't excelling in questioning the schedule, he could only assume that he was on his way to making a bad decision. Before Mr. Williams had a chance to prod him to run a second time, Ian was moving at steady pace around the outer edge of the gymnasium. If there was one thing Matt couldn't hold against him as a band geek, it was his fitness, which put him well enough on par with any average jock.

Leah read the board and groan in disappointment, she hated running! She didn't hate exercising, she wasn't a lazy couch potatoe or anything, but she didn like running because she thought she ran like a duck. Leah was tall standing at 5'10" so everyone expected her to be good at sports, Des was always trying to recruit her for the basketball team since freshman year but she always refused, it was bad enough to have to run in gym class, but having to run up and down a basketball court with a gym full of screaming fans watching was definitely out of the question. Leah began her 5 lap warm up, purposely running slower than she was capable of to try and divert anyone who happened to be watching her stride.
