Roleplaying Ideas for growing upon

What ideas have just sparked into your head for a roleplay? Put them down here so we can all discuss what we could do with it. It could be just a one or two sentence idea or the first paragraph of your roleplay. This is to help people to figure out a beginning, a middle and an end, which all stories should have before the roleplay is created for a successful and finished experience. This is how Hope and I kept New Dawn going so tell us your random ideas and a great roleplay might come from it and remember everyone, every roleplayer counts no matter what skillset they have because practice makes perfect! Help them rather than putting people down. I will put down all ideas below into a list so they have a reference for ideas but if you do, you must get permission to use the idea and then place on the roleplay (based on (for example) Heartless King's idea).

I have had a few ideas. Here's what I have thought of.


IDEAS FOR ROLEPLAYS


The Land of Symphony/Sounds by Sorabrawl

I thought of an idea which could have a high dependence on music and sounds. It could have a clashing of good and dark music fighting each other but they are trying to eradicate the other side. They have many powers from the songs that they create and every character in the story have their own particular instrument. For example; there would be a guardian of the light called Uthos and she uses a harp. The harp with its sometimes wintry sound calls the blizzard to subside around the Icy Wasteland of Utheros, the country which honored her. She keeps the balance of wildlife in her land. The drums of Bandenweld, on the other hand are used in terrible ways and golems (beings created from stone) beat on the drum, creating earthquakes and rockslides devestating the world. Music is also played from the wildlife as it resonates in life but if destruction is caused to the land, there is silence. Silence causes nothingness, a black hole, a hole of death. A dark menace is threatening to destroy the world, while the two kingdoms are fighting amongst themselves, wasting their resources.

Further Ideas:

Based on a land like Hyrule (a big town in the center with villages scattered throughout the world.

Populations are living in the sky, living under water, living in the forests, in the capitol city, small people living in the flowers or something. All kinds of different races all creating their own sound.

But when the dark being who has come to the world destroys a colony, many people start to fear
Two teenagers who have excellent skills in music escape this fate
and in legend they are the ones who will play the instruments of salvation. The two with birth marks shaped like music notes on their faces.
these instruments are carried by the beings the dark monster has placed on the world

The silence could be the monster itself. A silence created by this unusual dark void that seems to be spreading throughout the colony.
Destroying entire villages and communities rendering them silent and just empty leaving nothing in its path working from the outside and in towards the capitol city at the center of the world. The big confrontation would be at the capitol.

In the capitol city there is an instrument
But no one knows its name or how to play it
It is guarded by someone on the capitols 'royal' for lack of a better word family
sort of like a governor or something elect to protect the instrument.

the preachers of the prophecies humm the themes of the characters and when characters are at their critical parts of their emotions, the theme hymms around them like an aura

Determined Plot:

1- A world with one Capitol and many other outer communities. The Capitol is at the very center of the world.
2- Every different community is inhabited by its own race of people from anywhere as high as the clouds, as low as under the water, and as far east, west, north, and south as you can think. Each different race all creates their own form of sound with their basic instrument being individual with their own personal style but the music all fits together to create the sound of whatever the community is and usually each community has an instrument that all people know and play.
3- A strange new sound has made an appearence to the communities. This sound.... has no sound. It is complete and total silence in the form of a dark void. As the music dies out of anywhere that the void touches, so does the life of the people and the land leaving anything it touches destroyed until nothing remains not even land. Just dark empty space.
4- The Silence has started growing among the outer regions of the colony and has been working its way slowly into the center toward the capitol city getting faster as it goes. The world is literally being eaten away from the outside in toward the heart (the capitol).
5- At the capitol lies one intrument that no one knows the name of and no one knows how to play. It has been guarded since the beginning of this musical land by the leader of this world (the prophet, the king/queen, emporer/empress, whatever you want to call it lol). This intrument may be the only hope for this world to reach through the silence and dispell it and call back the music of all the other communities that surrounds it. Problem is, as Ive said, no one is able to play it. Whoever tries ends up disapointed when it makes no sound.
6- There are two (maybe one but Sora mentioned two somewhre lol) people who might be able to play the intrument. They are survivors from the first showing of the void. They have to make it to the capitol on time before the fast spreading void and its followers (people who have decided to help it and also creatures who have come from the inside of the void itself) destroy everything to the capitol and destroy it too. Then all will be lost. (because everyone will be gone)





Magic The Gathering: The Fight For Tevont by Shadow*91

In the magic universe, there are multiple planes of existence, each vastly different from the rest. One is a mechanical world, another a world split evenly between light and dark, and yet another world is a prison for ancient world destroyers. And still there are many planes of existence yet to be seen. Each plane is supported by five elemental energies split evenly among it. Dark, Light, Water, Nature, and Fire. Inhabitants can tap into the energy to fuel spells, to power machines, even to control that planes existence. There are many species of life in each plane, such as humans, elves, goblins, merfolk, giants and more. Life is diverse and unique in every plane. Among the life, there are special beings know as Planeswalkers, beings who have unlocked the ability to travel between the planes of existence. Those with the ability to become Planeswalkers are one in a million, born with what's known as the 'spark' and of those few even fewer have the ability to 'ignite' that spark and become Planeswalkers. It could happen from a near death experience, from a life changing moment, or from simply realizing a great truth. Outside of the Planeswalkers, nobody knows of the multiple planes of existence, believing their world is the only one.
The RP would take place on a new plane known as Tevont. In Tevont, all the species live in harmony. But one day a new Planeswalker emerges and begins to spread discord. He gets the grand elf people to suddenly stop their kind gentle nature, the vampire clans to stop feasting on small animals and to once more hunt the intelligent beings of Tevont. He even corrupts the plants and twists the world to a dark version of it's former self. Some have seen this change and have resisted the Planeswalker's deceit. They have formed a group comprised from members of the many species of Tevont, all are against the change to their world. They have vowed to restore Tevont to it's harmonious glory, and to kill the Planeswalker responsible.
The RP would be called The Fight For Tevont

This would be an advanced RP and you wouldn't need to know the Magic the Gathering backstory to understand it since i listed the only important things. It would start with the building of the group, go through with restoring the world, and end with a climactic clash against the evil Planeswalker. Seems pretty simple to me and the fun is, you could be just about anything because the Magic universe has just about everything. Dragons, elves, humans, orcs, goblins, merfolk, plant people, elementals, angels, vampires, anything you can think of.
