Well, for those of you interested in posting reviews for games, here are some guidelines.

First try to be fair in your assessment of the game. Chances are, if you are writing a review, you have an opinion strongly one way or the other. But when making a review, try to point out both pros and cons of a game.

Secondly, be sure to use proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. While it is understood that typos will occur, try to make your reviews as clear and easy to read as possible. You're review will not be as effective or meaningful if no one can understand what your are saying.

Third, be polite when responding to a review. Don't bash someone's review because you don't agree with it. If you disagree, by all means debate points with the author, but don't insult them or there work. Such behavior will not be tolerated. If you really disagree with their stuff, perhaps you could write a review of your own.

Finally, when writing a review, you should include the title, developer, platform, and genre of the game. You should also rate it a score out of 10 in the following categories:

Story - How appealing are the plot and characters? What is the feel of the game, and how good was the game at conveying that? For instance ina game with a lot of humor, were you laughing at the jokes, or cringing at how lame and forced they sounded? Did you like the ending? Etc, etc.

Gameplay - What kind of gameplay was it. What was good about it? What was bad? Did the controls work well, or were they clunky? How was the difficulty, too easy? Too hard? Or was it a good balance of possible, yet satisfyingly challenging tasks? Were there any fun side missions? Etc, etc.

Sound - how good was the sound here. How good was the music? The voice acting? The sound effects? Were you pulled in, or was it so bad you were pulled out of the experience?

Graphics - How did the game look? Don't just judge on how realistic the graphics were. Judge on how they fit with the feel of the game. How interesting they were to the eye. How smoothly did the game run? Did it lag at any point? Etc, etc.

Replayability - How likely are you to play this game again? Does it make you want to play a second time? Is there more enjoyment to be had from a second play, or is it simply going to collect dust once you've beaten it once?

After you have rated these things, give the game an overall score out of 50 and provide an overall assessment of the game.

Well, that's it. Have fun reviewing.
