I bet that all of you know Rebeccka Black. 14 year old girl who made the Friday video. She was able to make her video through a company named ARK Music Factory thanks to a classmate of hers. Well, maybe it is to her that it would be fun to make a video and to become a little bit-well known but, sadly, she had so many people who hates her song. Come on, PLEASE! Why hate on a 14 year old. She just made one song. Well, her haters made her famous and not only that, the company wanted her to sing some adult songs that talks about love, which she simply refused because she never experienced adulthood yet. Fortunately and blessed, she had some celebrities such as Simon Cowell and Chris Brown, to support her.

What do I think about this song? Well, it is a whole lot better than the common songs on sex and drugs, which is what is most likely has became overrated. -_- AND COME ON! Yes, I found this song funny but to me, I do not think that it is the world's worst song. Not only that, the company used technology to play with her voice in that video so I know that it is really not her real singing voice and I think that she sings better than that. And why cyber-bully? That just makes them low for doing that to someone. The song is not a top 10 but I do not think that it is atrocious. I find it average but that Rebecca has potential. Well, you have Justin Bieber haters and now you have some RB destroyers. It will only push them to strive even harder to show that they can do anything with their talents. What do you think?

Ok now I am definitely against cyber-bullying and all but I'm not gonna lie, I HATE THIS SONG!! I'm gonna have to disagree with you Summoner that this may possibly be the worst song ever. Now I'm NOT saying that Rebecca Black is a bad singer, in all honesty she's a pretty decent singer, star quality singer? maybe not but she is decent. It's the song itself that I can't stand! I agree that there are some pretty offensive, sexual, and inappropriate songs out there nowadays and I guess the songwriter was trying to have a nice "clean" song out there but the song's lyrics are just too STUPID! Personally, I like songs that I can relate to or songs that tell a story about the person who's singing them, Friday however is not a song I can relate to, like who really debates about whether to sit in the front seat or the back seat?? It's a convertible and there's already someone sitting in the front seats so its pretty damn obvious where you're sitting, and plus weren't you waiting for the school bus anyway??? To sum it up, this song is basically just too simple for me, its obvious that Saturday comes after Friday so we really don't need a song to remind us of that. The guy who wrote this song (who I read somewhere was the random rapper guy in the music video) needs to find a new job cuz songwriting is DEFINITELY not for him!

    4. Must love Glozell. XD She makes it funny as a comedian because there were a couple of things that I had missed out. YouTube - Rebecca Black Friday Video by GloZell
    Cons:
    1. Do not need her voice to be all robotic.
    2. Did not like that Sunday part.
    3. That super-robotic high pitch voice at the end.
    4. I know that today is Thursday.
    5. The car thing like you said LDC.
    6. ??? What kind of bowl of cereal? I WANT TO KNOW!!!!!

XD Now if you listen to this guy for chocolate rain: YouTube - Broadcast Yourself./watch?v=2x2W12A8Qow

Hee hee heee. I am still having a laugh out of this. -_- Still, I am mad because Rebecca is not the one who wrote the song and some of the millions of people who disliked the song are attacking her. Thank you. Now she might come out with a better song and shut all of you up.

Never heard of this song, or this chick, and don't really have the urge to become better acquainted. What I will say, though, is that with the advent of the internet, especially thanks to YouTube, and with the help of idiots, of which there seems to be a more than abundant supply, anyone can become famous. Remember all the people going crazy over that off-key idiot William Hung on American Idol back in 2004? I think there's a similar thing going on here.

If she put her song out there for the world to hear, then she needs to accept the criticism concerning it. I don't think there is any need to "hate" on her for any other reason (i.e, people commenting that she's fat, or some shit), but negative comments about her work could help her to improve, and anyhow, she's a fool if she thought she could please everyone. There's always trolls lurking out there, and when you become known to the general public (and especially if you ask for the fame), I think you just have to accept that there will be people who won't like what you're about and won't be afraid to tell you so. And if so many people (minus the sheep just jumping on the bandwagon) have a negative critique, maybe they're on to something. There's also no obligation to tell people they are talented when they are not, just because they are young.

But she's the one representing it. She must have liked the song herself, or why would she have sung it? Therefore, she's as responsible as if she wrote it herself. If she had written it herself, at least she'd get some credit for trying to write her own music. It's almost worse that she's just singing someone else's crap (or I'm assuming it's crap, I'd rather not listen to it myself (and my speakers are broken anyhow)).

I must agree with Kitty, have you gone mad summoner? Celebrities are hounded by the media, almost everyday, do remixes, and songs. They do a lot every day, so maybe that was a smart choice for her, seeing as though she could become more famous then any other star(just saying) it's a possibility for the future.

Personally, I do not give a shit about this, nor school. Hell anything except art, my favorite thing to do. Now, let the media hound her and let it get over with, so we can ignore this thread and continue with our lives. I've never heard this, ever, fucking ever, but hell, leave it alone.

Ok most of you know I don't say mean or hater things very often but I really feel the need to say that thissong is a joke. When my sister and I watched it, we thought it was some lame ke$ha parady. It wasn't until later that I learned it was actually a serious song. The melody is higly predictable and not very original. And the lyrics are just a bunch of fluff with no real meaning behind them, unless of course the writer of this song spends his whole life worrying about the bus when he's in a car and forgetting the days of the week. This dude was trying too hard to write a popular song then he got a pretty girl with potential but no real apparent talent to sing it for him. Sure you gotta give the kids props for putting it out there for the world to see and the video iis pretty well done but if they can't take the critisism they shouldn't be trying to get into the music industry or any other form of art for that matter.
Music writing is supposed to come from the heart. If its not something really important to you then its just another load of repetitive bullcrap wasting a potentially good melody.
And about the auto tuning on her voice, it does not sound cool on a lot of artists not just rebecca black. Auto tune is a cop out used by people who don't have any real singing talent of their own most of the time. If I hear her actually sing without the computers help ill take it back but until then ill just say the song doesn't deserve its fame either hate or like because its not worth it. Just a couple of kids playing pop star.

-_- I did not gone mad Roar. (You are for saying that I am) I am stating my opinion because really, do the girl has potential: I think so. Is the song good: Not really but it is good for a laugh. :D WE PLAYED THE SONG AT THE SKILLSUSA PARTY YESTERDAY! XD I felt so complete because it was on a Friday and it annoyed some of the kids, which made it even better. -_- But I started to lose some respect for Rebecca Black because on a video, she stated out her opinion that the song was actually related to politics. Really? Politics? And you even lost more respect when you try to compare the front and back seat of the car to Afghanastan and Israel or whatever country you was talking about. And what about the bowl of cereal again? Something about seeing another day? And if you are not really talking about partying on a Friday and getting down on a Friday... forget it. I will only end up becoming more confused.

Anyways, the media will only talk about her some more. XD But I guess that it will have Justin Bieber some credits from this in one way or another. And thanks KeyLegacy. There are worse artists than her. Plus, the songwriter should take as much more of the blame.

I completely agree with Hope here.

Lol. I looked up the lyrics online and I'm truly baffled about how this song relates to politics. That's really some metaphor! Well done, dude-who-crapped-out-this-song, well done. *slow claps*

And having read the lyrics, if I were the target demographic (which I'm gonna guess is preteen to young teenagers), I would be insulted by such sugar-sweet, empty lyrics. I guess they were trying to cash in on the Bieber crowd and the kids whose moms won't let them listen to anything with bad language, but come on.

Having people who exist that suck harder doesn't make her a good artist. I'm saying this in general because I still haven't listened to the song. We need to quit rewarding mediocrity.
