Pure Trilogy by Julianna Baggott

Has anyone else ever read this series or is reading it?
It really seems like it deserves a bigger fanbase, yet I have not ever heard of anyone else really reading it.
But there is talks of a movie supposedly coming out in 2015.

The Pure Trilogy is about:
A girl named Pressia in a post-apocalyptic world caused by detonations that changed everything. When the detonations happened, people fused to whatever they were touching, some, like Pressia for to object they were holding or were near. Others fused with the earth or animals, and were no longer really human. There was "lucky" ones though, set up in the Dome, which protected them from the explosions. Those in the Dome are called Pure, because they are untouched by all the deformities. But, life in the Dome is not exactly ideal for all.
Pressia lives with her grandfather, but when she reaches 16, the age of recruitment by OSR (Operation Sacred Revolution, supposedly set on taking down the Dome), everything changes. While the OSR is out on a killing spree, Pressia's grandfather urges her to escape. Pressia's life and everyone else's is drastically changed, and maybe she didn't really know anything about herself, after all.​
