I was considering posting this in the debates forum, but it's more like a lecture or rant than a debate...I have a bit of advice for the people here who have a long and beautiful future ahead of them.

Life is a juggling act. It truly is...we are given five spheres to balance, we can only deal with (or 'hold') one or two of them at any given time. These spheres are:

    -Health
    -Leisure
    -Relationships
    -Work (School, etc)
    -Spirit

Most people are unsuccessful. They put their time and energy into work. Their education, and roughly a third of their life is spent working. Since this is where your energy goes, you figuratively 'hold' the Work sphere too long and 'drop the ball' in some sense, letting the others fall.

But I ask that you consider the following:

The "Work" sphere is a rubber ball. Many people lose their jobs, don't get the grades they need to go to such and such college, or let their house go to shambles. But these people bounce back. They always recover, find a new job, catch up on their work, or adjust their plans accordingly.

The other spheres however, are made of glass. If they are dropped, there is a blemish, a crack, or the ball may even shatter.

Health: You drop this ball and you buy the farm.

Relationships: Though in a perfect world this too would be rubber...it's not. People squabble over little things and lose focus of what's important.

Spirit: Your integrity is what defines you. Your morals sustain you and your loved ones. Compromise your spirit, and you compromise who you are. Often times, once you go down a path, you cannot change who you are very easily.

Leisure: This too is important as it impacts the other 3...in particular your mental health. What is life, if you are bound by your health, relationships and spirit? You must enjoy yourself, or everything is pointless.

Heed this advice as you head down the road to university, or begin your adventure through the working world.

Wow, this is deep. I LOVE IT. ^^

I think I already broke my relationship sphere...my spirit sphere, I think I must've lost in the closet, and my leisure sphere I spend too much time playing with. It's my work and education spheres that I hardly ever touch, and I need to start picking them up.
